Yes, it has it. (On the Infiniti M, that is. Don't know about the RL.)

When you tested it on the M45 do you remember how fast you were going and what object you were approaching? (The snatching and back straightening experience sounds interesting)

By the way...Speaking of Infiniti, many of you readers of this forum may remember Mark Cincinnati. He posted in this forum for a while and eventually ordered an Infiniti M35 and as you may recall he had a longtime relationship with Audi having ordered 27 of them in a row. He changed his mind on Infiniti and was able to replace the Infiniti order with the help of Audi and has picked up his 2006 Audi A6. I actually enjoyed his posts in here while it lasted. An interesting guy!

Interesting how our wives enter the picture and manage to do their suttle nudging into their man's precious domain. Ha Ha Ha.

    LOL :P

I told my wife you can by anything you want, and she chose the TL, and I love the car, but it's my turn to buy a car. G35 coupe has the inside edge ;)

You said you love your wifes TL, but you want a G for yourself. If you go to the Infiniti line wouldn't the M be a better consideration or is the coupe your priority?
  • frisconickfrisconick Posts: 1,275
I much prefer the RL over the M, however the interior of the RL reminds me too much of the TL although I love it. We have a nice sedan, so you are correct, a coupe would be a nice alternative. Darn, now you got me undecided again, I really do like the RL. ;)

Acura was 3M higher. It is quite common here if you have a buyer at the time you pick up the new car, to work the trade though the dealer selling you the new car. The dealers have no affiliation, but both were cooperative to make the deal happen, allowing me to only pay slaes tax on the difference of the two cars.

I wasn't aiming for anything. I was traveling about 50-55MPH and slammed on the breaks as hard as possible. I then swerved over the center line a little bit and the seatbelts cinched up really tight.

I drove the M and didn't like it. I was ready to buy an M so I drove 3 of them and still didn't like them. The dealer told me "no more test-drives, buy or go home" LOL Now I am considering many different cars, it's so much fun to consider anything. :P

Anyone know if there's a way to retain the last setting on the multifunction display under the speedometer? I like viewing the wheel-torque meter and the instant MPG screens, but everytime I restart the car I need to press the up/down button to select the option again.
  • jjacurajjacura Posts: 808
Yes, I believe you can customize those settings ...check your manual beginning on page 69

I also like the SH-AWD wheel torque meter, but my beef with it is that the spokes of the steering wheel block your view so you can't see how the system compensates for the changes in yaw. I wish the display were higher up so that you can see it in your peripheral vision while negotiating curves.

Has anyone had their headlights adjusted up to display a further distance? Is this an easy procedure, or will the auto-balancing feature of the headlights adjust the beam down again?

I've had the car for a week now and this is the only issue I have with it. Xenon headlights brighten the road very well, but Acura seems to have gone overboard with trying to reduce headlight glare for on-coming traffic. Anyone else notice this?

Yes I have had occassions where I flat out put the brights on, not in the face of traffic, but know what you mean. At times it appears there is almost a black shadow running across what you would like to view. :shades: It's not a blatant problem but maybe could be if you are outdriving your coverage.

    Pat (Host):

I posted a long message this morning in reply to jjacura....it appears to be missing. Second time this has taken place in last month. Simply gone.

    jj:

I sent you a very long post this morning...very long and detailed, but it vanished. I realize now that the host must have deleted it because it included my E-mail address.

I'm doing better: walking and driving, so I can't complain.
My son bought me the Polk XRt12 XM tuner for my living room. It was installed Friday. Now, "Frank's Place" is my place!

What is your favorite athletic activity? I've forgotten, though I know that you've made reference to it in the past.

Is it possible to send an E-mail to someone on the forum?

    Regards,

    George

Go into your preferences, and put your e-mail address in your bio, or make it public... Then, jjacura can see it, and send you an e-mail...

That way, the spambots won't pick up your e-mail address from the message boards... Once he sends you an e-mail, you can go back in and remove it from public view, if you desire..

    regards,

George - I sent the post to you for you to repost without your address. You didn't get it? That was about an hour ago.

Anyway, I just sent it again. If you don't get it, send me an email so I can look at your address (click on my name for my profile).

Thanks, Pat. I did get the re-posts. It took me a while to comprehend!

Dan Rather once commented to a friend re a problem: "I can explain it to ya, but I can't understand it for ya!"

I never look at the links on the left and was thrown completely by your instructions.
I tried to copy my original post (deleting my E-address) but the entire message deleted rather than just the E-address. The post is a bit redundant by now, so I'll let my second one suffice.

I had a great party at my son's house in Armonk.Ellen had hired a fine pianist who knew all of the old standards and was able to transpose in all keys. She shipped her full keyboard to the party and everyone who wanted to solo was able to choose the key of choice - singers know the value of that!!

Thanks for your gentle inquiries and for your help. My E-address should be in my profile.

    Regards,
    George

    >> My E-address should be in my profile.

    Yep, you got it!!

Singers choosing keys is waay outside of my sphere, though, and everyone in my company is most grateful for that whether they know it or not ... ;)

I'm really glad you're on the mend and participating again. Don't be a stranger.
