About 2 weeks ago she got into the car and when she turned on the ignition the driver side airbag deployed out of the seat!
The car was in park.
It hurt her eardrum and now we have a car with a screwed up driver seat and faulty airbags.
Thank God she wasn't on the highway when this happened. She had our 6 week old infant and her mother with her.
They all could've been injured, not to mention someone she could've crashed into when the airbag deployed.
I finally got ahold of Suzuki customer service during business hours to tell them about this.
They gave me a file number and said they would be contacting me later to investigate further.
I will update the forum once I see how they resolve this.
I feel that an airbag deploying for no reason is unacceptable, regardless of the miles.
It's extremely dangerous, and the repair is expensive I'm sure.
Suzuki should pay to have the seat replaced, all other airbags inspected, and for my wife to get her ear checked and any procedures if her ear was damaged.
