Thank you. For 2014, is it 0.0007 and 58% for the same? Does changing to 39mo make the residual 1% less?

    2014 QX50 AWD Journey 36mo, 12K/yr

.00131 MF and 59% residual. Subtract 1% for 39 months.

Hi, could you tell me if these numbers sound ok. I am new to leasing. The MSRP is 45,500 and cap cost 44,500 (net cap cost with fees 46,199) terms are 39 month/12 k miles with a MF rate .068 and residual value 57% $991 cash due at signing and monthly note comes to $519 before fees. $619 with a 50 "rent" fee and 9% sales tax.

The numbers are correct.. $569/mo.+ tax. (rent fee is just the finance portion of the lease). The money factor is actually .00068.

My only qualm is the selling price. $1000 off MSRP? That is your best opportunity to lower the lease price. Negotiate a lower selling price.

Also, look into MSDs. Making 6 extra security deposits would lower your MF to .00008, and would lower your after-tax payment by $47/mo.

Hi, What is the July MF rate and Residual Value for QX60 AWD w/ Premium Plus package? 39 mos/10K miles?

  • ftlaudcarftlaudcar Posts: 2

Would appreciate someone's help on this: Looking to lease a QX60 (Premium, Premium Plus, and Drivers Assistance packages) for 39 months, 15k miles per year. What's a fair price, residual value and money factor for the South Florida market? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

    .00070 and, I think, 56% residual for 36/18.

I don't have any lease numbers for the 2015 QX60 just yet.

Hi, I am getting an offer for QX60 with Premium, Premium Plus and Theater package in the dfw area.

I am planning to trade in my Q5 which has a loan balance of $16K and market value is atleast $34K, I am not planning to put any money down from my Audi but dealer is charging me tax of $920 if I sell the car to him.

Numbers for QX60 - Sale price $47124, Registration $298, tax $920 MF 0.00190, 10000K miles a year, ZERO downpayment comes to a payment of $677/month inclusive of taxes.

I am not convinced with the offer and MF of 0.00190 as it sounds very high. Help me get the best number and MF for this month.

You didn't mention the lease term. Base MF for leases 42 months and longer is .00160, which can be marked up by the dealer for extra profit.

Subtract 1% if FWD. FWD MF for 39mo is .00068

Quick question about MSDs... I have never utilized MSDs in the past since my last several cars were Acuras and Hondas. How does it work at the end of lease. I typically have the dealer buy my car at the end of lease to save on tax as well as get any equity that may be in the value of the car over the buyout price. If I had MSD's, can I still go this route? Would the leasing company just send me back the MSD's if the car is bought off lease?

    Thanks for the help.

Yes, the money paid up front for MSD is returned to you at the end of the lease.

This is for an AWD ... base MF of .00074 and residual of 57%, along with your MSRP and net cap, gives me a pre-tax payment of $607.41.

    Which state is this?

It is in NY (Suffolk County). Tax rate is 8.625%. It is for a AWD.

Everything looks spot on. Taxes calculated and added to the cap cost up front, so the $607/mo is the payment.

Do you think there will be any better incentives for the 2014 in aug? I am trying to find out the lease deals might be better next month or should I close this month.

It's hard to predict how (or even if) the numbers will change next month. This late in the model year, I wouldn't be surprised to see the residuals and the MF drop.

I am confused about a couple of things and would really appreciate some clarification.

First of all, kyfdx and Michaell, when you guys post the MF and residual values, where are they coming from? Do you guys work for Infiniti or something??? And what does it mean exactly that those are THE numbers? In other words, just reading the forum it seems like dealers don't always use those numbers, especially the MF, which seems to be at their discretion and that is a number they can play with to increase profit. So are those just suggested values or is that what IFS asks the dealers to use? I read that the residuals really should be whatever is specified by the financing corp, so I am guessing that that should not vary dealer to dealer? But if either the MF or residual is not what is quoted on this forum (for that particular month), should I tell the dealer that their numbers are not what they are supposed to be or is it just their choice in the end?

Second, and related to the above, kyfdx you quoted the MF and Residual on a QX60 with Premium Plus and 39/10k at .00070 MF and 59% residual (for July). But MannyG1, your deal is using .00074 MF (obviously only a tiny difference) and 57% residual (which I calculate to change the payments by about $25). I just got a quote from a dealer for the same car (QX60 with Premium Plus and 39/10k) with the exact same MF and residual that you got, so are they just using the wrong residual? Michaell, you said MannyG1's deal looks spot on, so did you just mean the calculation was right or is the MF and residual right too? Maybe the .00070 MF and 59% residual quoted above was a mistake?

Thanks in advance for any clarification! This forum has been enormously helpful to me. I had absolutely no idea how a lease worked and thanks to this forum I now understand how to calculate a lease payment and how it all works. So thanks for all of the input - greatly appreciated!
