Here are some good discussions to help you get started:

    - Help me select a Station Wagon!

    - Used Station Wagons - help me decide.

    - Which Station Wagon under 20k...?

    - Upcoming Station Wagons (Real or Concept)

Or try using the Search feature, on the left side of the page, to find a specific topic (make/model) of interest throughout Town Hall. Happy Motoring!

Sorry to hear about your vehicle problem. You should copy/paste your message into our Legacy/Outback Wagons - Problems & Solutions discussion. Someone there should be able to offer some feedback. Good luck.

  • Have any of the discussion boards considered multiple pet owners, who must fit cages and carriers into the car? Thank you.

Here are a couple discussions where you should copy/paste your question: Station Wagons: Best Cargo/Passenger Space and Help me select a Station Wagon!. Good luck with your decision. ;-)

  • "revka", since i'm new to this site, i have just a few questions...

    1. can you talk about pricing (actual dollar figures? i seem only to see "$ above invoice" type of references which are not useful if you don't happen to know what invoice is).

    2. can you mention dealer and saleman names?

    thank you.
  • rhmassrhmass Posts: 263
Northwest, you can have access of dealer's invoice through Edmunds as well as other sites such as Yahoo. Price above invoice paid is actually more useful as a guide, since people buy cars with different options. The above invoice price will give a more accurate profit margin the dealer is willing to accept for the car. If you are in the market buying a car, arming yourseld with the invoice price will be extremely helpful in your negotiation.

You'll find dealer invoice information in Edmunds.com's New Vehicle Guide and TMV Vehicle Pricing Calculator.

In addition, here are direct links to Edmunds' New Vehicle PowerShopper and Dealer Locator tools. Hope this is helpful. Good luck. ;-)

Does anyone have a list of station wagons which can handle 7+ people? I don't want a minivan unless I have to.
  • revkarevka Posts: 1,750
I think you'd do well to copy/paste your message into our Help me select a Wagon discussion. Also, feel free to start up new "7-8 Passenger Wagons" discussion on this board if you'd like. Thanks for your participation.

Dodge Magnum SRT-8 does not show up when you select Dodge or Dodge Wagons?
  • revkarevka Posts: 1,750
Are you referring to the "Search Town Hall by Vehicle" or the Edmunds' New Vehicle Pricing Guide make/model search?

Either way, my guess would be because the Dodge Magnum SRT-8 is still a concept vehicle, and it's not yet in the data base that's connected to both of those search tools.

Try using the open search box on the left side of the page. This search is takes into account all the information in the actual discussion titles; so if you put the words "dodge magnum" into the open search box, you'll get direct access to our Dodge Magnum SRT-8 discussion. Hope this is helpful.

Select Town Hall. Select see more makes. Select Dodge. It's not in the list of models. If you select wagons, it's not there. If you select "Future Vehicles", it's not there.

In contrast, the Chrysler Pacifica shows up in the Chrysler list, in the Chrysler Wagon list, etc.

It seems pretty well determined that the Magnum is going to be a production vehicle, so I think it should get treated like the Pacifica.
  • revkarevka Posts: 1,750
The Pacifica is closer to being released than the Magnum, and it's also listed in Edmunds' Future Vehicles Guide.

No doubt, as the Magnum gets closer to production..., Edmunds will eventually put it in their make/model data base.

Also, in cased you missed in my previous post: the Dodge Magnum SRT-8 will show up if you search for it with the "Search Town Hall by Keyword" (open box) on the left side of the page. This search tool works off the actual information (keywords) in the discussion titles. Good luck.

I know I can find it by search, but, I shouldn't have to. I should be able to find it SOMEWHERE under the Dodge list. We'll have to agree to disagree about this one.
  • revkarevka Posts: 1,750
I agree, that would be nice! The way it's set up is completely out of my hands. If you'd like, you can also share you thoughts via this Feedback Form, from our Help Section, and it will be forwarded onto the appropriate sources. Thanks for your participation. ;-)

  • Which wagon "your news host" has the flatest loadbay? I am 5'11" and would like to lie down in the back with the seats folded down. Which wagon has the best surface for this?
  • revkarevka Posts: 1,750
You should post (copy/paste) your question in our Help Me Select a Wagon discussion. And let's see what the folks there have to say.

Also, considering your needs, it's sound like you'd do well to also consider a mini-van. For more feedback on this subject, you may want to check out our Station Wagon vs. Mini-van discussion. Good luck.

  • AH-HA seems very well informed, everything he's said has come true.

AH-HA is reporting that we will see two new models from Honda-Acura soon. They are the Honda Latitude and Acura TSX.

Of the Latitude, AH-HA says "Honda will launch a new model by next summer(2003-4), the Latitude. The 2004 Latitude is basically a U.S. version of the compact 7-passenger Stream MPV. It will be aimed at young families looking for a versatile vehicle and as a samller, cheaper alternative to the Odyssey minivan."
It sounds like Honda will give the PT Cruiser some competiton. Strange how six years ago Honda sold a vehicle like this and it was a total flop, now they're the new market craze. I remember thinking it would be a good idea to bring this over when they first came out with the Stream.

Of the TSX, AH-HA says "Next spring(2003), Acura will launch the all-new TSX sport sedan. Based on the upcoming JDM Accord, the TSX will be positioned between the RSX and TL with an estimated price between $24,000 and $28,000. Look for a near production concept at the 2003 NAIAS in Janaury."

Interesting about this AH-HA guy. Over the Saturn board there's a guy that goes by the same name that has been impressively accurate with his future automobile news about GM.

Try using the open search box on the left side of the page to see if there's a "prices paid" discussion for the vehicle you are interested in. ;-)

I need directions on which wagon site to post my message. I'm looking for advice about buying a used wagon-- a 2001-2 LL Bean Outback vs 2000-1 Saab 9-5 Wagon. Where should I post my question?

    Thanks!!
  • revkarevka Posts: 1,750
I see you've already posted your question in our "Help me select a Wagon" discussion (Post 376). That's a good place. Mondays are sometimes a little slow around here, so perhaps give it a day or so for feedback. I'll also help draw some attention to your message there.

Also, here's a another place you could solicit feedback: Saabs vs. Subaru OB?. The discussion was originally for the Saab 9-3 or Outback, but there's no reason we couldn't expand it to include all Saabs and Subaru wagons. If these don't work, you may want to try starting a new discussion with the vehicles of your choice. Look for the "Add Discussion" feature on the right side of the main Wagons Board. Good luck, and please keep us posted on your decision. ;-)

  • we're interested in buying a new xc70 diesel wagon. First, is it possible to find these (diesel models) anywhere in the states, and b.) are there any deals still out there for volvo to help fly you out to sweden to buy one there?
  • drewrdrewr Posts: 7
    Cluderman,

The XC70 D5 (Diesel) wagon is not specified for sale in the U.S. (emsissions requirements). Therefore, the Volvo Overseas delivery program does not offer this vehicle.

I would not anticipate that this model will be offered stateside anytime soon (lack of demand). If you are set on a Diesel AWD wagon, your only current option is a Ford Excursion (not much of an alternative).
  • revkarevka Posts: 1,750
Drewr - Thanks for your response. ;-)

To cluderman - For more information on Volvo Wagons, check out these discussions: Volvo V70 Wagon Experience and Volvo V70 XC.

This is a request to reopen the Jetta Wagons topic. Also, why not keep it simple and label it Jetta Wagon?
