    Good Evening,

I am hoping to answer a couple of questions concerning the money factors provided by the dealership. I am located in the Northern Virgina area and will assume that will likely play a part.

    1. Is the money factor negotiable?
    2. Is the money factor calculated using your credit score(s)? (if appling jointly)
    3. What is the money factor for an Audi A6 Prestige 3.0 TFSI in Virginia?

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  • kyfdxkyfdx Moderator Posts: 234,725
    1) The bank sets a base money factor for each model/term (AKA "the buy rate"), but allows the dealer to mark-up the rate for extra profit. You can't go below the base rate, but the mark-up, if any, is negotiable. That's why prospective lessees come here to get the number.

    2) The base rates quoted here are for top tier credit. Usually, anything above 675 FICO will get you the best rate. The next tier is usually a small bump, but after that, money factors go up fast. (or, you usually won't qualify, at all)

    3) 2014 Audi A6 Prestige 3.0 TFSI 36mo, 15K/yr lease
.00119 money factor and 51% residual

    Thanks kyfdx.

I have outstanding created which is above 675 and was given a money factor of .00244 which I found extremely high with a residual of 54% for 10k/yr/ IO was given an extra 1% for AudiCare.

    Any advise would be helpful.
  • honda4ushonda4us Member Posts: 6
I know Audi is waiving first months payment, but could you please tell me the other factors this month. I am looking for a 36 month lease with 10k or 12k miles. Premium plus and prestige levels would be appreciated. I assume the 1% residual increase with Audicare is still in play.
    Thanks!

I got quoted a monthly payment of 785 all in on an A6 prem plus with 19" sports/bose/side assist/quartz grey/20" wheels. Msrp of 60500 but quoted a selling price of around 55500. Also zero drive off.
After getting silly quotes from one dealer I switched to another and they came up with this with very little negotiation.
I pick up the car and sign the paperwork tomorrow so I will see what the 'catch' is.

Sounds like a great deal. Do you mind sharing your dealer info. I'd like to get something similar. I am in Northern NJ.
  • andrew232332andrew232332 Member Posts: 22
Yes I will get back to you later today or tomorrow once it is done (hopefully). I am in S. California. I will post in more detail later, don't want to jinx anything!

    Well no catches.
    2014 Audi A6 3.0 Premium Plus Bose/19" Sports/20" Wheels/Side Assist
Monthly payment $785, $0 down, $0 drive off. They covered first monthly payment so I make only 35 payments.

Very little negotiation, the first dealer was quoting me $100 more a month plus $1500 drive off so I got an e price from a different dealer a bit further away. They came back to me immediately with $795 a month and 0 drive off or down. Told them I wanted metallic paint not flat in that configuration, they found one at the port which was the same as I wanted but had 20" wheels also. The payment came down to $785. I didn't even bother negotiating further as this is below what I had budgeted.
The key was telling them I was talking to another dealer I guess.

I was offered the following deal and would appreciate any thoughts on whether there is wiggle room on price:

    MSRP - $55,995
    Selling Price - $50,811
    Money Factor - .00119
    Residual (36 months @ 10k per year) - 57%
Drive off - $2500 ($750 cap cost reduction and the remainder is title, acquisition fee, etc.)

    Payment - $572 (tax included)
  • ghstudioghstudio Member Posts: 972
The numbers you give don’t support $572/mo!!!! Assuming you pay dealer admin, origination fee, title, etc) up front leaving $750 capital cost reduction, your monthly payments would be $601/mo and that's without tax.

Something is very wrong in their quote....or your numbers.
  • tbrown9728tbrown9728 Member Posts: 6
Thanks for your feedback. I left out one very important factor - the total cap cost is $47,427. I think we arrived at that number through a combination of rebates and my $750. Does that make more sense?
  • bdhsailorbdhsailor Member Posts: 24
If you can get an A6 3.0 PP for 572/mo with 2500 due at drive away take it. You have a great sales price.

Leasing a 2014 A6 2.0 Premium Plus in Texas with good credit.

    Term: 36 mo
    Miles: 15K /year

    MSRP: $52,395
    Negotiated price: $50,299
    Rebates: $2,500
    Final price: $47,799

    Tax (6.25%): $2,987
    Title & Registration: $695
    Acquisition Fee: $262

Audi Care: $820 (adds 1% to residual value)

    Residual: $29,341 (56%)
    Money Factor: 0.0032

Down Payment: $4,221 (includes free first month payment special)
    Monthly Payment: $721

They're giving me a really good price on the car with all the rebates and the first free payment special. However, I think they're cheating me with the high money factor since I have good credit.

What's your opinion about the money factor? Is the money factor negotiable?
  • rmshahrmshah Member Posts: 1
Looking to lease a new Prestige. Total with options and sale price is 59,125. Audi loyalty brings me back to 57,625. The car is in AZ so tax at 7.95 + fees totals to 62,506. They've quoted me 973/month for 12k mi, 36mo lease. Any idea what money factor they're using and if it's reasonable? Hoping to negotiate and sign Friday.

    Thanks in advance.

For comparison I was quoted 870 a month zero down zero drive off for a 2014 prestige with msrp 64500 for 36mo 10k. Based on that I would say there is some wiggle room

I was quoted the following for an A6 Premium Plus with a few options. How do the numbers look to you? I think I would want to go with a 36 mos. rather than the 39 mos that they put together (the sales guy said it's a better program - not sure why). Also, is there any difference whether I roll up the ancillary fees (bank, registration, etc.) or pay that separately upfront? I wouldn't think so and would like to pay separately. So here it is:

    MSRP: 52,234
    Invoice: 49,199
Selling Price: 47,500 (they said they are applying $2,500 in rebates as a down payment to the selling price of $50,000 so my final invoice price is $47,500)
    Term: 39 / 10K miles
MF: .00156 (would be .00136 for 36 mos)
RV: 57% (didn't get for the 36 mos term - but assuming 58% based on what's been noted on this board)

    Bank Fee: 695
    Registration: 396
    Doc Fee: 349
Aftersale Window: 195 (what is this?)

Monthly payment: $694.53 (with fees rolled up) - they said the 1st month's payment would be waived

Deal or No Deal? What say you? Can any of the "fees" be negotiated? What would be a "good" deal without the fees rolled in?

    Many thanks!
  • bdhsailorbdhsailor Member Posts: 24
You should be getting 12,000 miles a year.
  • bdhsailorbdhsailor Member Posts: 24
Do you think the 2L turbo is enough engine? The 3L SC engine is a lot more money. Also the audi side assist is a must have option on this car. It is great.
I think audi has a major sales event right now. Better deals. My dealer is very busy.
  • top2013top2013 Member Posts: 3
This will be my wife's car and we really don't drive that much. 10K is actually more than plenty for our driving purposes. So what would you say I should shoot for keeping it at 10K/yr? Thanks for your post!
  • top2013top2013 Member Posts: 3
Yes, I do have the side assist. Sounds like a nice feature. 2.0 seems pretty good on the test drive and should be plenty for the wife (her car). What better deals are you seeing? Would appreciate any guidance you could provide. Many thanks!

Audi doesn't quote residuals for leases longer than 48 months, and only the 42 months and shorter have special subsidized money factors. The result is: you wouldn't want to lease an Audi for longer than 42 months, due to the high payment.

Leased on Dec 31 2013 in Northern Virginia , Audi A6 3.0 TFSI with side assist and Bose speaker system. MSRP ~57500. Dont have the MF, rebates and RV numbers handy, but this is what I am paying for a 10k/yr miles 36 month lease. The numbers below are just for the car, excluding Audi care and other protection packages

Out of the door Down Payment - 5000 (including Taxes, title, etc)
    Monthly Payments - 590 for 35 months
Rebate - Audi season first month payment off

Thought I'll share this info with prospective Audi buyers. Any thoughts on if this is a good deal?

    Thanks

I was quoted 57% residual and .00127MF for 36 months and 10K/year on an A6 Quattro premium plus. That did not include Audi care and the 1% bump in residual. I'll wait for the new numbers from you before I counter.
