I did add it to the cap cost and it was added to my lease payments.

@jt0001 said: Audicare takes care of all the scheduled maintenance for the first 3 yrs. You purchase it in advance, mine cost $860 and dealer said Audi sets the price and they have no control over it. I had him list down all the 3 yr scheduled maintenance/costs and it was quite a bit over $860 so I think this was a good deal. However, the Audicare will increase your residual value by 1%.

What he said - it's usually a good deal to add to your lease.

    1. Doing the math it is simple to add the AudiCare and get that 1% bump in residual especially since you are only paying the residual amount. Looks like it could save me ~$20 a month.

    2. @ jt0001 (or anybody that might know) I was looking at the deal you got and you show that the residual was marked up 1% for the AudiCare and another 2% for something. What did you do or how did you get that extra 2% added?

why do they make buying a car so frustrating and play so many games :@ :'(

My guess is that the 2% is the bump for going from 15K to 12K miles per year.

danmgy11: My deal was for 36 months/10K miles. The dealer told me that RV for an Audi A6 2.0 FWD was 52%. Quattro added 2% and Audicare 1% for total of 56%. So 56% of MSRP of $50,130 is $28,072. I plan to purchase at the end or the lease - I don't think you can buy a 3 yr old A6 with 30K miles for $28K.

  • jt0001jt0001 Posts: 7

    Sorry, Quattro added 3%

Gotcha and thanks for the feedback, I think I'm seeing the difference because I'm getting 15k miles a year.

Can you tell me what the numbers would be for 2014 2.0T Quattro PP for 36/12k?

Also, does anybody know if Audi allows you to purchase miles during the lease term or even at the beginning of the lease (simular to how BMW does it)?

And if so how much they charge per mile?

.00038 MF and 54% residual. I don't know about Audi's per mile charge, but you can move up to 15K/yr (9000 more miles) for just a 2% drop in residual. $1000 on a $50K MSRP car. That's only $0.11/mi.

    Thanks Michaell!

I guess 47% residual & .0007 quote from the dealer is a bit far off then?

Dealers are not allowed to modify the residual, but they can increase the MF for extra profit.

I'm not sure why they gave me a 47% residual on a 2014 A6 Prestige then?

The only thing I can think of is that the lease is through a different finance company, not AFS.

.00057 and 47% for 39 months.. Sometimes dealers will quote longer terms, "accidentally", to quote a lower payment.
