@Michaell: The tax number of $3,370 is based on before incentive price of $45,444 with 7% sales tax of $3,181, 0.4% Supplemental Titling fee of $182 and $7.50 Tire Tax. I live in new jersey.
    Thanks again for your help

  • MichaellMichaell ColoradoPosts: 5,899

@md82 said: Down Payment of $2,145.15. Also there $1,000 incentive built into net sales price of $49,474

If I take out the down from the selling price (new net cap cost is $47,328.85), the pre-tax payment is now $600.53.

@Michaell‌ Yes, I'm not sure how they quoted me $571.94/month based on those numbers but that is what they gave me. Would you say that is a good deal? Quote says * Down Payment of $2,145.15 Monthly Payment $571.94 * Down Payment of $4,000 Monthly Payment $518.30 * Down Payment of $5,000 Monthly Payment $489.37

I'm not sure how they got there, either. I'd have them break everything down so you understand the numbers forwards and backwards before signing anything.

Standard money factor and 51%/49% residual.

Not sure what Audi's standard money factor is.. but, likely to be around .0020

Purchasing AudiCare adds 1% to the residual.

    I just got this quote: 2014 A5 MSRP $50190, Sale Price $47190, MF .00065, residual 55%, 36 month, 10K, Due at delivery $1945.50, Base payment $592.66.

Good deal? Or is money factor higher than it should be?

Thanks in advance for any information.

No its a 2013...I am new to leasing, what would be the scenario on a car like this if information is not available for that MY?

Brand new, never been titled? The best information I have is the standard MF for the A5, which is .00157. No idea how to determine the residual on a car that is now two model years old.

Ok thanks. It is new. I was thinking it might have the potential to be a good lease deal, but I think I will pass due to your uncertainty. I was also looking at 2013 g37 sedans, which dealers are moving pretty aggressively around my area. I thought the audi might be moved aggressively as well.

Hello. I'm trying to lease a 2014 A5 2.0T Quatro Tiptronic (prestige plus +MMI +premium sound +sport pkg + audi assist) for 36M 10K/YR. The dealer in KS has given me these numbers.

    Listed MSRP=48,895 (Incl. destination fees), Selling Price=45483, MF.0015, Residual=56%, Incentives=1000 (Conquest) + First month payment done by Audi, Taxes=1748, Admin Fee=200, Tags=30, Acq Fee=695, With 0 down, monthly payment = 557.7

Please let me know if this is a good deal.

I don't quite agree with your numbers ... MF is .00015 (three 0's, not two), and the RV for 36/10 is only 50%.

If I plug in your MSRP and selling price with the above, I get a pre-tax payment of $594.81.

How does Kansas apply taxes to a lease? On the monthly payment or are they calculated for the entire lease up front?

It was my mistake. The MF =0.00015. The taxes in KS are on the monthly payment. The adjusted residual quoted by dealer is 27381.20.

So when you state that 'taxes = 1748', what does that mean?

Can you confirm that this lease is through AFS?

A couple of questions: For 10k/year w/ Audi Care, what are the RV and base MF for a 2014 and a 2015 A5 Premium Plus. Also for 2014 and 2015 S5?

According to the dealer, they quoted me .00198 as a MF for all those combinations, which seems quite high in my view.

    2014 Prem + - .00015 and 55% for 36/10

    2014 S5 - .00094 and 55%

    2015 Prem + - .00148 and 60%

    2015 S5 - .00148 and 62%

    Add 1% for AudiCare

Dealer is marking up the MF on you for the 2015's.

Thanks! Is the residual for 36/10? I've seen you mention much lower RV than what the dealership has told me, is there a reason to that?

  • Hello. Please help. I have made up my mind to purchase tomorrow, but want to ensure the best deal. MSRP 48620, selling 43500 (including 599.81 "rebate"). Acquisition 695, cash cap reduction 1283.08, total cap reduction 1882.89. Adjusted cap 46647, add cap 1394. Tax 3036 (GA) MF .00015. $2000 at sign, $563/month. 36/12k

Is this good? I was wondering why, if the sell price is so close to what's in the summer of audi with $379 monthly (MSRP 42,445, 3495 due at sign) why isn't the payment lower? Or should I just stop and accept the offer?

    Thanks for the help!

Some sort of miscommunication with your dealership would be my best guess.

The ad doesn't include tax ($84/mo.). Ad has $3495 DAS vs. your $2000 DAS ($42/mo.). Your MSRP is 14.5% higher than the one in the ad ($55/mo.).

That accounts for most of the difference, I think.

Which model? With that, we can check the calculations

The numbers work out pretty close... What is the $1394 addition to CAP cost? Looks like there might be a big dealer/doc fee in there. Other than that, you have the base money factor, so that's good.. GA tax is a killer..

  • Please post MF and residual for 2015 A5 with Premium plus package. 36 months, 15,000 miles. If you don't have 2015 numbers yet, 2014 numbers would be much appreciated. Thank you.

  • Can someone advise me on this deal. I'm trying to get a closeout a5 2014 premium plus with navigation, sport package

    MSPR 49,545
    SELLING PRICE 43,831
    GA TAX 2998.42
    DOC FEE 590
    STATE FEE 42.00
    0 DOWN
    10K MILES
    42 MONTHS

    NET SALE PRICE 47,461.42
PAYING FIRST MONTHS PAYMENT OF 565 SO THEY ARE SAYING AMOUNT FINANCED IS 46,896.42

They are saying the residual value is 51% with audi care
and a money factor of .00035

My concern is the money factor and residual numbers. I asked for 12k.
Can someone tell me if these values are correct. Looking to buy tonight or tomorrow.
