Thanks KYFDX. They bumped us up to a black SR5 Premium (with leather and remote start) and an MSRP of $40,408 for the same monthly payment of $412. The new residual is $22,643. We will probably purchase it at the end of the lease. It seemed like a much better deal so we took it. Thanks again for your help.

Without knowing the MSRP and selling price, we won't be able to model a payment, though $350/mo does seem a bit of a stretch.


Kyfdx - A dealer in Arkansas gave me the following OTD prices.

1. 1. SR5 regular (black) - $35,983
2. SR5 Prem (Gray) - $39,520
3. SR5 Prem (Black) - $38,441.

All have 3rd row seating. When I asked her for lease quotes she said only SR% Prem is available and quoted me a lease of $554.28 per month. I dont know where she got his rate. With a quote of $35,983 what is the best lease deal I can get for 12000/36 months lease. Zero down.

I have asked her if she can send me the calculations so that I can check.

@Vollaha you are paying a total of $44475 for a $40,408. thats almost $4000 up.

I am trying for a SR5 black 3rd row seating for OTD of $35,000. Has anyone done that kind of deal here. Once I have this price I would try to negotiate a lease of $350 per month. Lets see how for I can go.

I've got a MF of .00147 for 36 months, but no residual information. Be advised that Toyota leases don't always work the same as other manufacturers; they don't residualize options the same way.

4. Monthly Lease = $443
5. Zero down

Total value of car after 36 months = 443*36 = 15948+22866 = $38814.

Is this a good deal or can I get better deals? Please advise asap

The MF looks right, but what is the MSRP? Can't fully evaluate the deal without it.

I can't make the numbers work exactly as you quote them.

With an MSRP of $39,150 and a net cap cost of $36,268, a residual of 59% and the MF of .00147, I get a pre-tax payment of $453.09/mo for 36 months.

As previously noted, Toyota leases are extremely difficult to calculate. Individual options are not residualized, so the residual value of $22,866 isn't a straight percentage of the MSRP, as it is for all other manufacturers. However, 59% is pretty close (residual value is $23,098.50), so the monthly payment doesn't change all that much.

If you're comfortable with the selling price and we've confirmed the MF, then this looks like a pretty solid deal.

The payment is $443. It appears that with tax the payment will be around $475. I don't know the exact amount. Dealer is out of state

@Michaell - I decided to put in $1000, does this calculation look legit to you. Please advise. Can you decipher this lease and let me know if this is fine. I am leasing this car out of town so I would be filling a credit application form and then they would send in the car through road i.e. they have drivers who will drive it to me and then get the papers signed. This is my first time so dont know if this is fine. Please advise.

@Michaell - One more question, just heard from a dealer in Dallas, TX. She is saying that we can not lease a vehicle to someone who lives in another state because your residual is different from ours and we are not licensed to write lease's in other states. You can purchase using your tax rate but not lease. what you need to do is find a leasing company in your state that will purchase this vehicle at the price we are offering you and then you lease it from them. Is that true. No other dealer told me this stuff.

I am trying to lease it from a dealer in AR and I live in TN.

A balloon note is a loan, with a lower payment than a traditional loan, and then a big balloon payment due at the end of the payment period. It's not the same as a lease.

You'll notice your paperwork mentions "balloon amount" and not "residual", and "amount financed", and not "CAP cost". Those terms, balloon and amount financed, are not usually used with a lease.

Hard to say, given the scarcity of lease information.

But, in Texas the entire purchase price ($34,650) is subject to sales tax, which increases the monthly payment.

Hi I was given a MF of .00110 and a Residual of $25,684 on a Trail Premium with an MSRP of $39,545 and a sale price of $37,581. 36 months 10k miles. I calculate payment should be around 400 even, does this seem right? All taxes and fees would be out of pocket. NY area. Please advise, thanks...

The residual pct. works out to about 65% with your numbers ... I'm getting a pre-tax payment of $404.80/mo with your numbers.

The only MF I have is .00160 for the 2015 4Runner .. if this is a 2014 your quote is for, I can't confirm the MF.

The money factor is not from toyota it would be from an outside bank that is local and I have dealt with before I have confirmed money factor with bank. It is for a 2015.
