I can't comment on the validity of something from a different website.

The standard VW acquisition fee is $625.

Dealer doc fees vary by dealer; I'm not familiar with the fees in NC.

This is my first time on a car lease and was looking forward to some advice if the current deal I have with the broker dealer any good.

Live in Queens, NY - Sale tax rate is at 8.875%
- The car is a 2014 Passat SE with Sunroof 1.8 T - With leatherette black interior
- I don't have the MSRP yet but the price from edmunds lease calculator is $25,865, from the edmunds price quote its at $26,695, from KBB its at $26,247 and from VW website its at $27,865.

The current offer on my table is listed below.

- $242 Monthly payment for 36 months
- $1,100 down payment in order to cover the tittle fees, bank fee of $500 and first month payment.
- No money down beside the $1,100.
- The sale tax will be included in the term of the lease which should be around $2,296 if we utilize the lowest price from above of $25,865.
- The lease will be for 36 months-
- I am not sure if it will be a 12k or 10k per year but I am hoping it will be 12k per year.
- Also not sure if the two year maintenance will be included for 24,000 miles.

I am assuming it looks like a good deal at first because the broker is using the $3,500 incentive which is not telling me about.

Can you please let me know if it is a good deal and if the $3,500 incentive will apply to my lease.

On the surface it looks good, but without the MSRP and actual selling price we can't run the numbers to confirm the $242/mo payment.

The MF for the 1.8T SE is .00010, and the 36/12 residual is 50%. There is $3500 lease cash available, which you should subtract after you've negotiated your best price.

It's the 1.8T and the residual I was told was 50%. Not sure what the MF. It was $1999 cash + TTL = $3885

36/15 numbers on the Passat S 1.8T are .00003 and 48%. $3000 lease cash.

We don't recommend putting money down on a lease - if the car is stolen or totaled, you are out that money. The $1999 down equates to about $56/mo on your payment.

With an MSRP of $23,310 and a net cap cost of $18,440, I get a pre-tax payment of $202.31/mo for 36 months. Still mighty low for a $23K car.

1) 2014 Passat 3.6 SEL, Term: (whichever has the lowest MF)
2) 2014 CC 2.0T Executive
Since I will be purchasing at the end of the lease, mileage doesn't matter to me.

MSRP= $35,950.... includes mat kit= $235, splash guards= $220, lip spoiler= $375, first aid kit= $35, &destination= $820.
the invoice on the car is $34,360
minus the $4000= $31,360! <-- Their math, not mine.

the residual is 48% for 15,000 miles
money factor .00015

However, the dealer agreed to the Truecar price of $31,645, which is a purchase price. They are now trying to tell me that the $4000 lease incentive was already included in that price.

Am I wrong for thinking that the lease should be:
Agreed selling price: $31,645
Dealer lease incentive: $4000
Net Cap cost: $27,645
MF: .00015
Residual: 48% (36m)
Tax: 6.75%
For a lease payment of: $315.25

My numbers work out the same as yours .... if you can get the dealer to agree to the $31K selling price before the lease cash is applied.

Depends on how badly they want to sell the car.

You might also reach out to another VW dealer to see what they will offer. Competition makes for better pricing.

The only 2015 Passat without lease cash this month is the TDI.

$3250 on the S and Wolfsburg

$3000 on the SE, Sport and SEL

$3750 on the V6 SEL

What is the MSRP and selling price of the car you looked at? Wolfsburg is .00098 and 53% for 3 years, 12K miles per year.

When you get the numbers, let us know and we can model the payment for you to ensure that the dealer isn't marking up the MF.

Ok so it's a 2015 Wolfsburg Passat, 25,060 is selling price, 3000 lease cash, 2000 for my trade. I'm not putting anything else down. So taxes docs and fees are extra. They said 295 a month. Bad deal?

What is the MSRP? Is the entire $2000 of trade equity going to down payment? What state is this - lease tax obligations vary based on where you live.

Nj, 7% and dmv fees are roughly 750. I'd say taxes and dmv fees equal around 1500

Yep you should get a much bigger discount from sticker before the lease cash is applied.

Perhaps a different dealer will be more accommodating?

haven't talked numbers with any dealers yet so trying to get a feel before i go in. Credit score is @ 670, both TransUnion and Equifax. So 2nd tier? Last December my GF leased a 2014 Passat TSI SEL (love that engine/tranny combo!) hers was 690 at the time and i asked the finance manager and he said the 2nd tier range is @ 650-700 or so. Can anyone clarify this?

So I guess this directly affects the Money Factor (quasi interest rate) MF?

2015 Passat Sport: .00038 MF and 49% residual for 36mo, 15K/yr. $3000 lease cash.

I don't know the cutoffs for each tier, but if you are B Tier, add .00030 (total .00068). On the "Sign then Drive" program, VW is covering the 1st payment.

Dealer currently has the car marked down to $28,160. Guessing that's pretty close to as low as they will go on the fully loaded cars?

TX applies sales tax to the entire purchase price, FYI.
