Thanks. I didn't negotiate further or pull the trigger as the car has all-season, run flat tires with a non-staggered set up. Glad I looked. Dealer did not want to "correct" it for me. It must have been ordered that way for some reason, and maybe that is the reason the car the car's been sitting on the lot in So. Cal. for some time. Otherwise, very little inventory for 2014s here from what I can tell.

I think the tax calculation is wrong... PA lease tax is 9% (or 10% in some jurisdictions), but it's only on upfront payments and the monthly payment. It's not collected upfront (except on the upfront payments), like NJ. I'd ask him to check on the tax calculation.

The KBB trade in on my 2013 Passat SEL is 17k and my payoff for it is 20680 so the gap as I see it is $3700. (the bmw dealership quoted me 16k instead), so a gap of $4700 as they see it

I'm trying to get the $309/33m deal on a 228i. Money factor is 0.00130 and residula is 62% from what I read here. What I was quoted (on a slightly different car on the lot with 38k MSRP with a supposed 3.5k discount) was $4811 (including dealer fees, 1st month, tag, and all other fees + $455/month , no sales tax included. (If i didn't have a car gap, that payment would (in theory) drop down to $343 by my estimate, and to $313 by their estimate of the gap.)

Am I getting a good deal or am I getting shafted?

A lot of moving parts, so it's hard to say.. I'd keep driving the Passat, before I'd take a $4700 hit on the trade-in. That makes any new car expensive.

I don't know I put in the numbers he have me into a lease calculator and I don't come up with the 554.52

If I take $4000 Cap cost reduction off the selling price, I then get a payment of about $489.mo.+tax, or $533/mo. with 9% tax..

$4000 CCR leaves $1779 to account for... 1st payment, acq.fee, tax on (acq.fee + CCR).. that's probably about right...

Still about $20/mo. off... but it makes more sense, now... You could roll that $4K into the lease payment and the payment goes up about $116/mo. incl. tax..

Salesperson we are selling you car for $38,200.
By my calculation (assuming $1000 incentive) they are reducing the car $75. Is this correct.

MF is marked up - base is .00130. And you are correct, there is a lot more room to negotiate on the selling price. Use the pricing tools at the top of the page to determine what you should pay.

In addition, we don't recommend that you make any sort of down payment - if the car is stolen or totaled, you would be out that money. Instead, look into using that cash as MSDs to lower the MF. And, you get that money back at the end of the lease.

Hello, are the August numbers out yet for the M235i? I'm looking for the residual, MF, and any incentives for 10k miles/36 months. Dealers are only offering $500 under MSRP so I'm hoping for a residual of 63% or better.

These were just the 1st numbers he threw at me, going back Monday

Any thoughts on the deal, they seemed direct about the money factor and didnt mark it up
I saw it at .00130.

.00130 is the base MF. There is also $1000 build out cash. Use the shopping tools at the top of the page to determine the target selling price.

33/10 residual is 65%.

If I use the MSRP as the selling price, I get a pre-tax payment of $654. I would suggest you review the numbers with the dealer; maybe the trade is impacting the deal.

I believe the selling price is 48950, what numbers did you use to get 654, did you put the 2500 as down or to cover fees

Overall i think its not a bad deal, the trade is a wash I owe 200 less than they are giving me

Any thoughts on selling prices of M235i, seems like dealers have only 1 or 2 on the lots

$579.30 pre-tax when I use your selling price. I assumed the $2500 was for up front costs and not as a down payment.

I'm not in the market for a 2-series - though I wish I was! - so can't really comment on transaction prices.

Residual is fixed by BMW FS; base MF can be inflated by the dealer.

Subtract 1% for M235i.

$2000 off sticker on a 2015 seems pretty good.

The $699 doc fee kills you ... see if you can negotiate another $500-750 off the selling price to offset it.

2014? .00130 MF and 61% residual. $1000 build out cash. Can't do Euro delivery of a 2014 model.

There are no lease incentives on the 2015 model, but you can lock in the current program for Euro delivery

That's the only term I have info available on, at this time. The other terms aren't likely to be competitive.

If anything, residuals drop as the year progresses. But, no way to know what will happen to the numbers in the coming months.

I would think the discounts will be small for the 2015's at the moment. 36 months tend to be the sweet spot for BMW leases.
