Want to confirm a lease on a Trailhawk. Dealer said the price for purchase had incentives they couldn't use for a lease. I'm hoping that isn't true. Also, they provided a MF of .00006 and Residual of 55. Northern VA area. Thanks!

  • kyfdxkyfdx Posts: 29,827

You don't give term or mileage allowance for your figures, though I do show .00006 MF for 36 month leases.

It's entirely possible that there are purchase incentives that don't apply to leasing.

I confirm the MF of .00006.

The residual 56% is for 27 months, 15K miles per year.

Check with your dealer to confirm this is a Chrysler Capital lease.

And yes, it is true that purchase incentives are not always available for leases.

Came very close to making a lease deal on a 2014 Cherokee Limited 4x4 on 5-31-14 in Colorado. MSRP $38,890, Cap $36,170, Residual $23,439, $6k down. Payments seemed wayyy too high still at $375/month. I think dealer decided they'd pass on making much money on the car and went after making money on the lease. Residual seems oddly high too. Still, we think we want the Cherokee so may try again.

Are the June rates out yet for the Cherokee?

Hello - by any chance do you know the numbers issued by Hann Financial? The dealer by me in NY told me the MF for Hann was 0.0013, which seems pretty high. However, they are offering $3,800 in rebates. They also told me that the Chrysler rate was 0.00036, which looks like they were marking that up, so I am assuming they are marking up the other MF as well. This is for a 4x4 limited model.

The only numbers we have access to are those from Chrysler Financial.

What do you think of this deal? Debating on pulling the trigger on the Cherokee limited with luxury & tech package: MSRP $38,520

    Discount - $2,404

    Selling Price $36,116

    Rebates - $1,500

    Net Price $34,616 Residual: 20,800.80 MF: 0.00016 Monthly Payment: $392.63 + 8.125% sales tax

Due at signing: First Months payment + $97.50 fees and registration. Think there is any room in there?

That is the base MF for the Cherokee Limited AWD, so unless you can get them to come down on the selling price, that's as good as it's gonna get.

Hi Michaell, you seem super helpful, wondering how this deal looks to you...

    I'm being offered this deal on a new 4x4 Cherokee Limited - 10K, 36M

    MSRP: 36,565 Discount: 4,815 Selling Price: 31,750 Down: 1,222 Monthly: 443 Money Factor: .00058 Residual: 20,110 (looks like 55%)

That money factor looks higher than I've been seeing quoted. What are your thoughts?

You are correct, the MF is marked up on you ... the numbers are .00016 and 55% for 36/10.

With the base MF and residual against your MSRP and selling price, I calculate a pre-tax payment of $331.61.
