No lights or wipers after replacing Battery (2008 Chevy HHR)

I swapped out the battery (battery was out of car for ~1 hr) now the car starts fine but the head lights and turn signal lights no longer work. Also as odd as it sounds the real windshield wiper comes on when you start the car but when I hit the switch to turn off the real windshield wiper it kills the engine! Also the front windshield wipers do not work.

Everything worked before I swapped out the battery!

What in world? Any ideals?

Thanks,

Thinking about it a little more, one thing all the symptoms may have in common is the BCM (Body Control Module). Hopefully when new battery was put in the positive cable was put o first. You could try removing the BCM fuse for 30 seconds or so and then re-seating to see if that would change anything
