2008 Toyota Sienna broken coil spring

We were sitting at a stop light and heard a loud bang. Took it to the nearest Toyota dealership and they found the right front coil spring had broke. I brought the van new and it has never been in an accident so I don't understand why it would break after only 63,000 miles.

The dealer replaced both coil springs and struts but it now pulls to the right. They did a 4-wheel alignment and say it is right on spec. Now they think it is the tires but they only have 7,000 miles. The dealer switched the tires from front to back but still pulling.

What else could cause a pull?

Has anyone carefully examined the type of wear on the tires?

If that's okay, I would ask to have the alignment specs rechecked, or have it rechecked somewhere else.

the only other possibility I can think of is some sort of friction from a dragging brake perhaps--if the right side brake pad is worn considerably more than the left, that's something to look at further. A technician can check for dragging brakes with a pyrometer that measure temperature at the brake disc.
