Wanted to find out if this was a good deal or if I'm missing something:
    New Q5 2015 msrp 42K
    10,000 miles
    42 months
$0 down(in reality 400+ because of tax, license, etc)
Trading in my current Q5(has 1 yr left on the lease) - i owe 25K, they offered 25k
$529 a month plus tax, so should be about 581/mth(includes audi care)

    Let me know - thanks!

Hi…can I have your comments as to this deal I signed today?

2015 Q5 2.0 premium, with options, and audi care, selling price $41,443.00.

salesman said they won’t do less than $750. over invoice, which is what he’s charging.

upfront cost = $2,051, less $1,000 loyaty rebate, so $1,051 out of pocket

    lease @ 36 mo/15K

    MF @.00134

    Residual 57%

As part of deal... the dealer will absorb my last month lease payment from my expiring lease of $560., and he’ll eat the $500.00 or so of excess mileage charge on my outgoing car.

Q5 monthly lease will be $583…including NJ tax

    How’d I do?

    a6ricardo said:

btw, the msrp on the Q5 I just asked about, with audi care, is $43,235.00

I get $555/mo plus tax.... but, AudiCare should add 1% to the residual for 58%.. $543/mo+tax, if we increase the residual to 58%....

Ok - this is what i got:
    msrp of Q5 2.0 Premium $42,855
    adjusted selling price $39,961
    10k miles a year
    42 months
    Audi care included
    Trading in your Q5
Inception fees $1,768 (minimum drive off)
Total cash out of pocket $450
    Money factor 0.001540
    Residual 53%
    Financed thru Audi financial Services.

535.00/month(includes tax) - this seem like a good deal? Also, why would the residual and MF be different than 57% and .00156?

    Thanks!

Hello! I am negotiating with a local Audi dealer on a lease for a 2015 Q5 Premium - Ibis White, Chestnut leather, Panoramic Roof, Heated Seats. They are also going to swap out the standard wheels for the 19” double spoke wheel upgrade since there aren’t any that have that wheel package. They are giving me the requisite runaround about limited supply, having to get it from another dealer, several hundred dollars in transportation costs, etc… They are also only discounting the car $1,000, which is an Audi Loyalty rebate. In my opinion, not a discount on the actual car. Can someone please tell me whether this is even close to a reasonable deal?

    2015 Audi Q5 Premium
    Panoramic Roof
    Heated Seats
    Audi Guard Trunk Liner
    Audi Guard Protection Kit
They are also swapping the standard wheels for the 19” wheel upgrade

    MSRP: $42,340
    Audi Loyalty: $1,000
    Acquisition Fee: $695
    Adjusted Cap Cost: $42,035

    Misc. Fees: $268.55

    Base payment: $585.93
    Tax (10%): $ 58.59
    ------------------------------
Total: $644.52 (They are “throwing in” the wheel package)

Due at signing: $913.07 (incl. 1st month payment)

    36 months
    15k miles/year

    Residual value: 57%
    Money Factor: .00137

Does this look anything close to a good deal? My guess is no since they are only discounting the car $1,000, which is the Audi Loyalty rebate.

Closing in on something soon so any advice is greatly appreciated!

The 19" wheels are skewing your numbers.. that's probably a $2000 upgrade, and if they can't residualize it, that is eating up any discount you might get..

I show the base MF as .00134, but the residual is correct at 57%.

Thank you. He said the wheels are about an $800 option. Originally he said he could add them after for an additional $10/month, which would have taken it up to about $654/month. We're back to $644 but I still feel like thats too high. You were correct. It is .00134. Any other guidance or requests I could make? Thank you!

Hello! I am closing in on a deal on a new Q5. My preferred dealer does not have this vehicle on the lot and will have to get it from another dealer (possibly trading one Q5 for another). They have given me the line about limited availability... they still sell really well so no reason to discount much by Audi.. will cost several hundred dollars to transport the car to my dealership... blah blah. They are basically only discounting the car $1000, which is an Audi Loyalty rebate, so nothing else of the sale price. Can someone advise whether this is anywhere close to a decent deal?

    2015 Q5 Premium
    White with chestnut leather
    Panoramic Roof
    Heated Seats
    Audi Guard Trunk Liner
    Audi Guard Protection Kit
They are also going to swap out the standard wheels and replace them with the 19" 5 spoke wheels because they cannot find a Premium model with the 19" wheel option.

    MSRP: $42,340
    Audi Loyalty: $1,000
    Acquisition Fee: $695
    Adjusted Cap Cost: $42,035
    Misc. Fees: $268.35

    36 month lease
    15k miles/year

    Base amount: $585.93
    Tax (10%) 58.59
    ----------------------------
    Total pmt: $644.52

$913.07 due at signing (includes 1st month payment)

I feel like there should be a little more off the MSRP, even with the Audi Loyalty Rebate. Maybe I am crazy. I don't know.

I am moving in on a new vehicle very soon so I appreciate your review and response!

Given the parameters, the payment is correct.. Even on a 2015, I'd want at lease $2K off MSRP, plus any incentives.. So.. outside of the wheels, another $1200? That would knock $35/mo. off the pre-tax payment.

Thanks for your guidance. I told them I was at my limit and I am willing to walk away. I just dont think I'm getting any incentive to lease this car. The dealer said he would check with his manager and call me this morning so we will see. But as it stands, I am not taking it. Thanks!

Thanks KYFDX. The sales guy said theres nothing more he can do. He offered to throw in free inspections (which I feel they should do anyway) and valet/loaner service (which they already do), but that does not translate into my monthly payment. I am holding steady and seeing if they budge, but I am willing to walk away.

I'm confused and need some help. I asked about MF and RV for Q5, Premium Plus with 36mth/12mi and was told .00134 and 56% but another person posted and requested data for a Q5 Premium (not Premium Plus) with 36mth/15mi and got a better residual of 57%. Why doesn't the higher end vehicle with fewer miles/year get a better (higher) residual?

    Thanks

In general, higher trim levels have lower residuals due to the extra features that are standard. Better to get a lower trim level and add the options you want.

    .00134 and 54% for 36/15.

5-7% off MSRP is a good discount.

Hard tp predict what, if any, incentives will be added by Audi between now and the end of the year.

Ok peeps got some questions, never bought a Audi before... Does Audi have MSD (Multi Security Deposits) like BMW? Does Audi have a finance option like BMW with a balloon payment at the end?

Looking at a Q5 Premium + 3.0 TDI, MSRP $54K Haven't talked numbers just trying to figure everything out... We were really taken how well the interior was as well as how it road. Was thinking of doing a Euro Del too, how much off is the ED?

Looking at a Q5 Premium + 3.0 TDI, MSRP $54K Haven't talked numbers just trying to figure everything out... We were really taken how well the interior was as well as how it road. Was thinking of doing a Euro Del too, how much off is the ED?

Yes.. Audi has MSD and balloon note programs.

    .00127 MF and 57% residual for 36mo, 15K/yr.

Not familiar with the ED program for Audi.

Thank you for getting back to me so quick, is there some place on the web I can go and read about the Balloon Note Program, the sales person we spoke with had no idea what we were talking about, he even went in and spoke to his manager.. How many MSD's are allowed with Audi?

I'm sorry, but I don't have details on either... The balloon note programs are more popular in states that tax the full selling price of a leased vehicle (TX, IL, GA, etc..). It's possible that your local dealer has never used the program.

@flightnurse‌ - you are in AZ, right? Don't think the balloon program exists there, as the lease payment is taxed monthly.

Yup AZ, so this is why the salesman didn't know about it. I find interesting that both BMW and MB offer it but not Audi.

    at 36 months $660 /mo for 10k miles at $2,500 drive off

Could I get the MF and residual and any thoughts on if I should be able to do better?

    .00134 MF and 57% residual for 36/10
Standard MF and 50% residual for 48/10

I don't know the standard MF, but it's significantly higher... Probably in the .0018 - .0020 range..

I'd say you have another $500-$800 to work with on price... Can't really comment on the rest of the deal without a CAP cost and/or a breakdown of the $2500.

I'm getting $456.01/mo pre-tax - are you paying the $3289 at inception or rolling it into the lease?

I confirm the MF and RV you've cited. The taxes may account for the difference.

    It's inception (I think)
    $1,598.75 - Sales tax
    $441.50 - DMV Fees (estimated)
    $75 - Doc. Fee
$695 - Aquisition Fee (bank fee)
    $478 - 1st month
    -------------------------------------
    $3,289

I also get $456 at 60% RV. I think the $478 is based on 58% RV.
With taxes I should be at $496

You thinks it' a good deal?

I would confirm with the dealer which RV they are using ... 60% is for 36 months, 10K miles per year.

And, how can you pay taxes both up front as well as on the monthly payment? What state is this?
