Acura and Honda are asking dealers to expand their service hours in an effort to boost customer service.

I work at a high line dealership and we are open for a regular day on Saturdays. I'll pose this question to Mr. Kendig and the heads of all of the other manufacturers in the US. When are you guys going to be open on weekends? The reason we ask is because one of our main obstructions to delivering excellent customer service on weekends is the lack of support from the manufacturer. Support in terms of parts ordering and technical assistance. If the manufacturers want to talk the talk, then they'll have to walk the walk. Otherwise we can only do so much to further the cause.
