How to troubleshoot power windows - 1997 GMC Savannah?

I have had intermittent problems w/driver's side window. Will go down but not up or will get part way up and seem stuck. Usually wait a few moments and try again...no problem. Passenger side had no problem until we had mechanic check for another problem where the key hole was set way in. Now the passenger side window will not work at all.

usual procedure would be to first off check all the fuses, then pop the switch on the door in question and test for proper voltage in and out--if those check out okay, and driver's master switch is okay, and the wiring loom into the door doesn't look mangled, then you pop the door panel and have test the motor, or look for loose or binding parts in the regulator and window frame parts.
