    1. Get new tires for the Accord.
    2. Get shocks springs checked out.
    3. Drive stick.

I have a 2005 CR-V, which is considerably taller than the Accord, and I have no problem negotiating round enterance ramps are highway speeds.

Even with the tall vehicle like the CR-V, having manual transmission allows me to shift the weight of the vehicle so that added downforce is applyed to the wheels that need it during a maneuver. You simply can not do that with an automatic, not matter how fancy it is.

A BMW with an automatic will give you the same feeling.

please read post # 28989. if you buy like i have posted you will do just fine. Read anyone of my prior post on buying... cant buy this car on march 21 and expect to get that good price..
Dealers are to busy trying to rob all the uneducated buyers. Smart buyers like us in this forum,,, buy the last day of the month..

You have no leverage right now.

Last day of the month should work well, but the dealership and salespeople will generally start dealing around the third to last day of the month. They will be more amenable to lower offers as they scramble to reach the next tier on their quota levels. Yes, you will hit the jackpot walking in at closing at the end of the month if the dealer and salesperson need one more car to get to the next tier but the likelihood is they are already locked in on their last attainable level at that point, so sometimes you would actually do better a day or two before month end.

Invoice price w/ dest= 24,037. read my post and start your calls and emails on friday 29th buying on the 30th. unless you strike a deal on friday
Read this board and make a target price. i thought my post was quite clear on buying....... apply it on the last days..

I would target the high volume dealerships 1st. these dealerships are looking to sell as many cars for the 1st quarter. Honda corp is kicking back a nice check for there volume sales. The smaller dealership is working on selling there 100 cars for the month. dealerships get other incentive checks back also floor plan , finance, etc.

Why you keep posting your out the door numbers means nothing to me or anyone reading it. I am not a mind reader. Your states sales tax and doc fee's are different in every state.
There will be good deals to be had next week. alot of dealers have large inventory on certain models..

  • Need thoughts on this deal:

2013 Honda Accord LX CVT 4 door, modern grey, black interior

$19,900 price (includes destination fee of $790 in MD)
    + 6% MD tax
    + $200 doc fee
    + ~$475 title, registration fee

I am still negotiating. Financing to be done separately, not with dealership.

  • Correction: title and registration fees are $275 aprox.

I live in NJ and also looking to buy LX CVT. Could you provide the dealership name as I have not been able toget the car down to your price. thanks.
  • Don't walk, run to get it. U won't do much better until next month. That's $170 better that what I did. What color r u looking for? I know that silver, white, beige colors are sometimes discounted a bit more. But w all confidence go an get it. Your price would be the best price so far jn this forum if no trade in is involved. Are u trading in? What dealer? Pull the trigger is my strong advice.
  • My advice is that if you want to save money about - $500 or more. You will be better of driving to md. U won't get the gimmicks and headaches than by u. Also try NY dealers that people like Brian 125 posted before. Read, read and read this forum. I drove to md 2 weeks ago. But deal was sealed over the phone at the end of the month the 27th. Got buyers order. Put deposit and picked up due to schedule the following week. If u don't have anyone to drive u. U can rent a car like I did one way via budget as they were cheaper at $59 w aaa discounts (I didn't want bother anyone and owe a favor) I got mine at Anderson Honda. Read my posts as I bought the lx. They waived the doc fees and was a smooth process over al.
  • The only other piece of advice is to be careful as there is a couple of dealers in md that sale the lx for the price u r getting but they r the demo models. Check if u r active in the military, u can get $500 off.
  • Also as an update. I checked w wells Fargo and they wouldn't go an extra .25 off my finance rate (1.49 for 60) as their rate is usually 3.59. So, since they were matching, they wouldn't cut more. Those looking to finance. Look for PenFed and Blue Harbor online.

Just a question: for those of us who have already bought the 2013 Honda Accord, is there a general forum to discuss it? I don't see one.
