help with 1999 surburban security sys

We just bought a used 1999 Surburban. The key clicker seems to be the original..the owners manual describes it operation correctly. But also in the glove compartment is a owners manual for a Clifford Intelliguard 700-IQ security system. Any way to tell if I have that? Also, on dashboard just to the left of the radio is a small rocker switch and what seems to be a small l.e.d. light. Might this be part of the Clifford system? Any help appreciated. Mark

    Does the LED light up? If the LED is dead the guy that had it before you probably pulled out the old system to put into the new car/truck, and just left the LED in the 'burb to fill the hole in the dash.

    If the LED is on solid it more than likely has an alarm installed, and it is in Valet mode,basically not doing anything. You can go to the web site for more info on dealers so you can get some remotes for the system. http://www.directed.com
