I predict the next significant price drop for the LEAF will come when Federal Tax Credits expire for the LEAF. They have 42,000 cars sold to date. They have the potential to sell 30,000 in 2014 if increased manufacturing capacity is sold out. So a price reduction for the 2016 model to compensate for the lack of the credit going forward after 100,000 vehicles have been sold.
