Question - I still have my old lease. Hann is the lease company and they are supposed to pick it up in a week or two. I was just thinking - should I try to sell it?? I have heard of stories online of people making a few bucks this way - by selling their lease and then paying off the lease company, and keeping the difference! It is a 2012 LX CRV, excellent condition with 29K miles. The payoff is $16,200. Kelly BB sale value is $18,700. Thoughts?

EX-L w/NAV residual is actually 62% for 36mo, 12K/yr.

If they are quoting 65%, that would be an EX (no L and no NAV)

.00160 is the base MF, if you make a security deposit.
.00170 is with a security deposit waiver.

Ahhh, gotcha. Do I understand correctly that 65% gets me a lower monthly lease but bites me in the buy-out?

Basically they offered the car at $30,525 (which could go lower?) with a $2500 Customer Cash and a Total Cap Reduction of over $1500 (which should be zero, right?) and it would be $332.60/month plus tax.

Cap cost 23500, with 2000 down, 500 college grad. Monthly payment $223. Negotiated from $289 (I know !!!) to $223 + two free oil changes.

Hope it is a decent deal...

We would need the selling price in order to model the payment; otherwise, it's just guessing.

Ask the dealer what the net capitalized cost is - this is the selling price with all fees added in.

The 36/12 numbers on the CR-V LX AWD are .00051 and 64%. Using your MSRP and net cap cost, I get a pre-tax payment of $209.96. If I add 9% tax to that (which I know is high), the payment only goes to $229/mo.

I think there are some additional fees somewhere they are disclosing to you, if their quote is almost $40/mo higher.

Nope, the numbers changed on 5/12. .00051 on the LX trim only, and a 36/12 residual of 64%.

I get $220.73 with tax with your numbers.

Confirm with the dealer what the net cap cost is ... I'm pretty sure it will be higher than your selling price. Make sure you understand why.

The current Honda numbers are valid until 7/6/15.

MF on the EX and EX-L is .00160, while the 36/15 residual is 62% for the EX and 61% for the EX-L.

$500 down - I was approx $1000 upside down in my lease turn-in, but they also said it included first months payment/tags and it was clearly stated on the lease agreement that he printed and reviewed with me before I even walked into Finance.

I also get my first oil change free.

i am am looking to leaSe a Honda CR-V EX 2WD in SoCal.  I had been emailing dealers about financing options but my wife wants to lease the car at first and after 3 years end up buying it.  I am a bit confused about the leasing process in comparison to the buying process.  I was able to negotiate 23720 for buying the car, but can I now ask the dealer how much will it cost to lease the car for this same price? I see lease folks use MF and residual terms a lot.  I'm not sure what the MF is, but is it the interest that is added to your monthly payment?  And residual is how much honda will value the car at once the lease is over?  I'm wondering what going APR is for a lease vehicle.  I'm sorry just so many questions I have.

That's not an offer; that's the national (or regional) deal from Honda. You should be able to do better; we don't recommend making a down payment on a lease. If the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.

And, you can negotiate a better selling price which will help lower your payment.

Hey guys I just signed papers on a lease on a 2015 crv ex-l 4wd and I was only in there to setup an oil change on my accord lease that was do.I rushed through it and didn't really do any research and hope I got a good deal.

The total all in payment is 369 a month with taxes included or 347 without. Only thing I need is first payment when I pick up the car in a few days.

The lease is a 3 year and 36000 miles with first month payment do at delivery.

My accord was a 2012 4door se and I had 3 more payments left and they took that in on the trade to make it all work.
