Got the quotes from 4 dealers on 2015 Hond Accord EX, they are anywhere from $23,500 to $25,100 OTD (including TTL).

    Will it get any better?!
  • thezonethezone Member Posts: 26
Pulled the trigger on 2015 Honda EX (Blue) with standard dealer add-ons for 22,738 OTD (including TTL) in Dallas.

Thanks to this forum, helped me with the research and price point.

Hey guys. Got the following quote on 2016 EX-L in northern va. Any input? Don't really have time to wait around until the end of the month, and without the military incentive it doesn't seem so hot and I'm not financing. Curious your input. Thx!

    Sale Price(including Military $500 bonus) $25,998.00
    Processing $599.00
    VA Taxes $1,135.61
    2YR VA Tags $103.50

    Total: $27,838.11

Throw in: A cargo tray, mud guards, wheel locks, and your first oil change.
We are open today until 7PM and tomorrow from 12PM to 5PM.
I look forward to hearing back from you.
  • brian125brian125 Member Posts: 5,244
I"d shop around some more. Your deal is just over 800 below invoice w/ 500 incentive then minus the 599 doc fee . Your area is netting 1500 on the low end to $2500 plus below dealers invoice on 2015 models. If your willing to travel and cant find good dealers in your area IM me for dealers in VA and MD

Don't over pay if you don't have to .

    Good Luck

    What is the breakdown?

    Taxes

Looks good on the surface, but without the details, it's hard to say for sure.

We just bought 2015 Honda Accord EX model last week in NJ from Honda of Freehold for $24K out the door price.

MSRP for the vehicle was $26,650

Plus the dealer provides lifetime free oil changes, car washes, and loaner car. Not a bad deal

I was quoted $26,188 for a 2016 EX-L Coupe V-6 model. I am still waiting for the out the door price that will include tax, title, and fees.  Does it seem like a good deal so far?

I'm a newbie here. I would appreciate any input. I am shopping for 2015 Accord Sport Sedan (Automatic). The best offer I receive is $20,600 before tax and fees. OTD would be around $22,800 in Sacramento, California. Is this a good deal?

I am wondering if I can get a better deal than this or negotiate the price down a bit more to $20,000.
  • umc0829umc0829 Member Posts: 5
I contacted 6-8 dealers within 60-mile radius, and none of them is willing to offer me a better price than the quoted one above ($20,600). I am not sure if I can push it further.

End of the month is when best deals are made . Unfortunately 2015 models are limited so getting that good price / your model, color may be a problem .

Your quoted price $20,600 is very good @2791 below invoice if the $820 destination charge was included.

Hi, all, I have the following quote on 2015 Honda Accord LX 4dr sedan

    sale price $18464
    tax $1154
    inventory tax $38
    doc fee $125
    title, license fee $185.25
    OTD $19967

I understand from previous posts that this is a good price for LX model, but I am not sure if I can push further because this is the end of the year. Any advice? Thanks.

Houston TX, the tax is 6.25% = 1154, which I have included in the break down. Unfortunately, when I call this dealer yesterday, they sold out their 2015 accord LX model :(

Use that same price guide line for another 2015 model. It would be a very good deal at that price.

I was looking into 2015 models but now i really like the 2016 Honda Accord Sport. Its my first time buying a car and would appreciate any help I can get.

I emailed dealers and the only ones that gave me quotes were dealers further from me. One was OTD $24,684 plus tag, the other OTD $25437 with new tag. My local dealers told me to come in to talk further/test drive etc.

The MSRP is $25,800. How do I find the invoice on a 2016 Honda Accord Sport and how much below invoice should i negotiate including destination fee or not? I live in south Florida so tax is 7%. What other fees should i consider?

I have a lease with Nissan ending on Jan 1st and would like to transfer tag, so should my tag fees be reduced? I read end of December is a good time to buy and would like to make a deal before my lease is up.

    Thanks
    Martin

Try below site for invoice pricing or on top of this Edmunds page where it says make , model , year.

FL. doc fee's are high $699 plus so compensate your agreed sales price with dealerships figuring at the end you need to pay this charge.

The 2016 Honda Destination charge has gone up $15. Edmunds needs to update there sites. Usually @Nada.com is dead on with there prices through out the year. Edmunds is slower to make price changes.

    @Edmunds = $820

    @Nada...... = $835

    KBB...............$835

Hopefully someone who just purchased a 2016 Accord this month can post there destination charge fee for us.

Thanks for the info. Another dealer sent me this.

    MSRP: $25,800.00

    Special Discount: $2,801.00

    Internet Sales Price: $22,999.00

    Dealer Fee: $699.50

    Florida Title Processing Fee: $269.00

    Florida Tire Fee: $5.00

    Florida Battery Fee: $1.50

    Federal Lemon Law Fee: $2.00

    Florida Sales Tax: $1,438.56

Tag Estimate: Determined by the DMV. Range is from $100 (transfer) - $400 (new)

    *Out-The-Door Price: $25,414.56 + Tag

Sales price not where I want to be, but I want to understand the fees first. Doc fee 699 looks okay. Florida Tax 7% of 22999 minus destination 835 is about 1550, how is he getting 1438?
    Transfer tag and title 370?

Our pages should be updated, I agree.

But, the destination charge doesn't change for cars already on the ground. If the car was produced when the destination fee was $820, then it will still be $820 (it's printed on the sticker). Likely to be plenty of those, still around.

With gas prices the lowest they have been in years the transportation fees should not be increasing.

Call and ask dealer how they arrived at above numbers. Then tell this dealer if they meet your price Today of $22,300 ( which includes doc fee / dest charge ) you buy vehicle Today otherwise you are still price shopping..... leave your number continue emailing dealers.

Getting........... $22,300 puts you at $681 below dealers invoice. If you want a lower number email / call all your targeted dealers with lower number . Remember YOU tell each dealer (meet my price I buy today ).

Good evening brian125, below is the email I will be sending out to dealers for a 2016 Honda EX without sensing. Be critique it and propose changes, thank you.

    Good Morning Ms. Kronenwetter:

I am looking to buy a NEW 2016 Honda Accord EX. My price of $22,500 includes the destination fee and excludes taxes, tags, licensing and any incentives. Your dealers doc fee charge was taken into consideration of my price. I will buy this vehicle from your dealership today if I can receive a faxed buyer's order/bill of sale, holding sale with a credit card deposit until I can get down to your store to finish the paperwork.

I have several offers from dealerships a lot further than I would want to travel but would like to give you my business being that we are neighbors. I have outside finance approval but would be willing to finance through your dealership if it means closing this deal TODAY on the $22,500 price and at a competitive rate.

    All the best,

    André

A final question, how much do you think I should offer for the EX with Sensing.

Excellent email. or phone call to all your targeted dealerships. What state are you buying in?

  • bullandrebullandre Member Posts: 18
I live in NY but I will target NJ, MD & Northern VA. Do you think that $22,500 is a good starting point for the EX? What about the EX with Sensing, should I start off at 23,500?

    Andre

Here is my advice / take on how your going about buying this vehicle. I love it !!!! but lets be realistic here your asking dealers to go almost $2300 below invoice before doc fee's. might be a tuff sell right now.

You will do very well pricewise and gage pricing from 4 states. Way all the factors . What makes a better deal worth it to you ? Travel / time factor. Is saving $500 to 1k worth a trip to MD or VA.?

NY / NJ pricing on a 2016 . $500 to 1000 below invoice would be a excellent price this week.

MD / VA could be higher.

Send out emails and calls to MD and VA dealers first then work back towards NJ and NY. You may want to try MA...................... pricing there will be better than NY and NJ

As far as I see there are no incentives outside of good financing on the 2016 model. You may get some bites in further states in the (1500 below invoice area.)

Maybe Target 1800 below in MD see if you generate any interest.

I would Tweak your email letting dealers know you would be willing to travel down ( MD , VA or MA ) for X price. @2292 below invoice you probably wont generate many responses.

    Thoughts

Send out those emails and Don't rush buying unless you get that good number tomm. You have 4 good days left. Dealers out of state know you will pluck down your credit card and they have a easy sale . Do the same thing with NJ dealers . 1300 below invoice would put you at 1k below ( after doc fees ) . Thinking that number may be a stretch with most NJ dealers . Never hurts to try.

let me know your progress in MD / VA area.

Looking to buy a 2015 Accord EXL sedan, 4 cylinder in eastern Ohio/ western Pensyllvania.  I found 3, '15s which were dealer loaners all ranging from 2,000miles to 5,000 miles.  Have only gotten sale prices of around $26,500 (without taxes and fees).  Still waiting for price breakdown.  What is a good price for these dealer loaner cars?  I really think these are way high just starting out.  I would be trading in an 08 exl 6cyl with navigation and 49k miles.

I received a quote for accord sport cvt today. OTD 21,500. The breakdown includes sales tax: $1,167, fees* of $520, options (theft deterrent/wheel locks): $367, but no destination charge (was it waived?). It's the lowest quote I was able to get in PA. Thoughts?

    2016 or 2015 ?

What was the agreed sales price without the OTD pricing ? The dest charge was included in the sales price if they gave you a total otd #. No dealer will wave the dest / charge all buyers have to pay this charge.

2015 accord sport cvt.The quoted selling price is: 19,450, fees include doc fee and reg fee. Destination charge isn't itemized anywhere but the sales manager said that 21,500 includes everything to be paid by me. If he destination charge is inclusive of the selling price it's the lowest quote I was able to get w/o any negotiating. Naturally I'm going to try to negotiate it down even though no other dealer came close to this price. It's the last 2015 they have.

Depending on dealers stock and buying today/ maybe this week 500 to 1000 below invoice is about where good pricing lies right now in IL. Email / call 15 dealers when your ready to buy that should give you a good idea on pricing. High volume dealers with plenty of stock is where you may find the best deals this week.
