Bought an 07 Limited 6-speed manual on 12/05/07 new, < $23K....out the door.....talk about the bargain of a lifetime!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I just got a second key from my local dealer a few weeks ago for $50.

Did you ever get an answer to the 2 posts on the bulkhead? I am curious about those too.
Also, what about that 5" wide strap that snaps down to the back of the passenger seat headrest? Anyone know what that is about?

Lastly, I see there is an optional adjustable cargo framework that fits down in the 'trunk'. Dealer says it's about $100 but the photo isn't real clear. Does anyone have experience with these? Are they good quality?
  • Did you ever get an answer to this question about the luggage cover? I have never seen one of these but I am very interested in this possibility.

If you go to the Chrysler website....you can build an '08 Crossfire now??????? I don't think you could a few days ago??????

I got screwed..........in todays newspaper the ad now says $15K off ..last week it was only $14K off..the week before it was $12.5K off .they have 13 left on their website.....all are automatics 3 Roadsters - 10 coupes......I think it's a brand new dealership & they appear desarate to meat a 1st year goal.....cause another dealership in the KC area has 17 in stock & they aren't advertising such a deal????
  • I'm taken by the Crossfire in many ways. I live near Toronto , Canada and have been searching Ebay for a low milage , very clean , alabaster white, 05 Roadster. This car is new to me but I love what I see. Life is just too short to do without a special toy !!! Does anyone know of any dealers that may have what I'm searching for ? The best deals are in the USA and I'm ready to go wherever, if it's the right car . I find this forum very informative and I look forward to the day that I will be able to share some owner insight with others.
  • ">Does anyone know why the crossfire roadster has such a poor resale value . I have a 2005 Roadster with 18000 miles never seen snow . I went to a car dealer to purchase a Charger and they would only offer me 13000 $ for it . I paid alot more than that . I was told that is all they are getting at the Whole seller .

Is this a dealer scam or does these Crossfire's loose exsessive bucks after we bought them . :confuse: <img src="
  • If the police officer has an instant on and off switch , then no detector will work
  • Does any one know if the Crossfire is still made
  • Does anyone know why the Crossfire has losty so much on it's value . I looked at trading my Raodster in , 18000 miles 05 and I was told that the whole sale price was 13000 dollars . The trade in is 20,000 .
  • The crossfire tanks in price...in 04 new the minute they were released, they were 45K
withen a month the were 32K, I had a new one had 6K miles and sold it 6 months later for 22K, they tank bad, I bought my current on for 13K, just put a new engine in under warranty...so let it tank now:)
  • My XFire Coupe started to tick, Not the normal benz sound, but a tick, they pulled my engine apart and changed the lifters put it all back together and the tick was still there, Now waiting for a new engine,,,, 34 days later car is still in the shop, hoping to come back next week,Lucky my Powertran warranty picked up the new engine....please be aware of this as a few others have the same thing">
  • It is very simple...you can buy a new '07 roadster for around $24,000. Another factor is supply and demand. Dealers have probably sold more new '06 and '07 Crossfires over the last few months than were sold in the previous two years. The market is saturated. BUT WAIT...drive that car a few more years and it may be worth more than it is today.

Depsite it's amazing quality and performance- it's still a Chrysler, thats why it has depreciated so much. There is not much demand for the vehicle either.
  • Hello, I have a chance to purchase a new '06 untilted red crossfire with 40miles from a dealer in western pa. The msrp is $35,455.00 2 options tires and red paint. Kelley Blue Book says this 06 manual limited crossfire used is worth 21,000.00 Do you all think this is a good deal I really like the car red with silver detailing, gray leather 6- speed manual trans. My price $21,400.00 tax and plate and full tank of gas . Can I lose ten thousand in five years?
  • the Xfire drops like a rock in price this is a base or lmt model????
Ihave a 04 ltd and bought for 13K, yes it will drop like a rock
  • I bought what sounds like an identical car last April for $25,000. I've put 8,000 miles on the car and enjoyed every one of them. I do not regret my purchase at all even though I might be able to beat the deal now. I could have waited and saved money but would have lost 8 months of fun. Buy it...drive it...enjoy it, and worry about what it's worth when you get tired of it. Some decisions go beyond financial considerations. I used to drive really fun cars, but I have been practical for years. This is the first car that when I park it, I walk away and usually turn around to take one more look before I go in.
  • Good to know that I wasn't the only one that would park my Crossfire and turn back to look at it as I walked away.

    It's a great feeling, isn't it?

Keep in mind that the '07s have that "Lifetime" warranty on the powertrain...the '06 doesn't.....for one or two K more......I'd suggest you get an '07 if you plan on keeping it a long time......bought my 6 speed last week & plan on keeping it a LONG time!!!! Love it!!! It's been icy & snowy here since I bought it....haven't spun a tire yet????Guess the DSC/Traction Control/ & Anti Lock Brakes work great....last rear drive I owned (78 Corvette new)...would have been doing 360s all over the place.

One reason they are dropping (I think) is that Chrysler is kicking back $10K to the dealers (I think that's what I've heard)......so if a dealer sells one to you for $22K...it's just like them selling them for $32K. I think it's just a combination of factors all coming together at the same time....Daimler & Chrysler parting company & lots of good sports cars on the market from many manufacturers. + The credit problems in the world.......if you're in the market as a buyer.....it's hog heaven !!!!! Buy-ENJOY!!
