  • Hey,

One thing I can tell you is that you shouldn't be charged the $1450 for leather because that is part of the premium package.

On a side note this car is almost identical to my build in 2011:
    335xi coupe
alpine white on coral red leather
    m sport
    Bt with BMW assist
    navigation
    heated seats
    10K miles

    Sales Price: 47,995
    My MSRP was $54,600

I gave $1200 out of pocket and pay $544 a month including NJ tax.

You discount doesn't seem like a lot at least to me.

When I build your car on BMW website the price is $56,295..

    BASE MSRP $46,800

    Mineral White Metallic$550

Coral Red/Black Dakota Leather$0 This is part of the Premium package

    Dark Burl Walnut wood trim$0

    M Sport Package$2,200
    • 18" Light alloy Star-spoke wheels style 193M-with performance run-flat tires$600
    • M Sports leather steering wheel with paddle shifters$100

    Premium Package$2,000

STEPTRONIC automatic transmission$0 Not too sure if you want a stick or not

    Comfort Access keyless entry$500

    Heated front seats$500

    Navigation system$2,150

Now if you getting a 2013, the discount they are giving you sound good, but there are other places where the dealer can deduct money from. Is the dealer have any add-on to the car? Play hard ball, remember, YOU do not need this car, THEY must sell cars..
  • I ordered a 2013 330I sedan it left the plant and is ready for shipping. I ordered the Luxury Line and the leather was part of the $1,400.00 luxury option. The ZPP premium package for $2,200.00 only consisted of: 322 Comfort access, 488 lumbar suport and 655 one year of Satellite radio subscription. I am loking forward for it to leave on the boat and arrive at the port of Baltimore.

This will be a very rare BMW...

With BMW now offering five lines of 3 series, each has it's own identity. So for the extra $1400 over the base 3 series, the Luxury model comes standard with

    Unique design touches include:
    Chrome kidney grille bars
    18'' alloy wheels, multi-spoke design
Black signature key fob with chrome accent
    Exclusive leathers and interior trims
    Chrome exhaust pipe trim

so the Premium package will only include the Comfort access, lumbar support and sat radio, however if you look at the premium package on line you will see that whatever color leather interior you chose will be highlights in the premium package. If you didn't choose the Luxury line, then leather wouldn't be standard, but available in the premium package...
  • Thanks car expert--you're right; the premium package does include the red dakota leather: I left out the premium sound package for $950 ---

The deal that you got sounds really good. I am asking for 15,000 miles and my msrp is a little bit higher but at least I can use your build as a guage: maybe I can get the MSRP lower or have them pay for the taxes --

    Thanks again
  • Thanks again flightnurse: the premium package did include the red dakota leather etc....I was forgetting about the premium sound package for $950.

The car is a 2013 xi coupe. What do you mean by does the dealer have any add-on to the car? And should I ask for a bigger discount on the car?

    Thanks
  • This will be a very rare BMW...
Luxury line also includes Sports leather steering wheel.

    I also ordered:
    Silver with Black Dakota Leather.
    Cold Weather Package.
    Driver Assist Package.
    Premium Package.
    Navigation Package.
600 Watt Harmon Kardon Surround Sound System.

Dealer add on's, like... Tinted windows, Pin stripping, nitrogen filled tires, paint protection, this are add-ons, cost the dealer next to nothing however big mark up and profit for he dealer.

You didn't get the "rare" BMW.... You posted you ordered a 330i... BMW stopped building them in MY 2006...
  • Hi I am in the process of negotiating a price on a 2013 328 x-drive. MSRP is $44,500 for the car as configured. What % off MSRP should I expect from the dealer. In other words, if the dealer is offering me 3% off - is that good or am I leaving money on the table. Any other tips on how I should negotiate. I would like to lowest price since my configuration is very specific and it is unlikely anyone will have this on the lot - they will need to order it.

    Thank you for your advice.
  • "Rare No More"

My mistake, my current BMW is a 2006 330i. I ordered the 2013 335i. Thanks for pointing it out.

I think the 2006 330i is a very underrated car, good luck with the new one.
  • I moved to the US sometime back and due to certain issues my credit score dropped (issue was small, but since my history is very short, it affected my score by more than what its worth).

Anyways, BMW FS put me at progressive credit range(I believe that is 601-639 ouch!) and has approved me for a 30 month lease on a new 328i. (30 month as I am a foreign national and my visa expires in 34 months. i think my approval has got to do with my high income).
The quote I have right now is

    2012 328i
MSRP 41 945 (premium, cold, bluetooth with bmw assist). 30 months/ 10k miles a year

    7k downpayment (includes 1st month's pay), (385 per month + tax)

I believe this is a lot . Given my credit situation I want to know what's a good deal for me and what should be my number to negotiate.
I wanted to know the right lease rate or money factor for this credit tier. It is important for me to know this so that I can have the right negotiation with the dealer.

It will be great if you guys can help me out

So what is a lot, the payments or 7K down payment?

Do not forget your credit score, affects your Money factor which I'm sure if high. The rule behind leasing is, use other people money, save some money and do not use all of the 7K. But I'm tihnking your low credit score is going to affect anything you buy...
  • Hello all, question to the experts. What percentage off MSRP is fair or percentage off invoice should I be looking at to buy outright (no lease or financing) a new 3 series? Looking at mineral grey color plus premium and cold weather packages MSRP is $43,995.00 (invoice $40,680) , including $850 destination. I am not looking to absolutely steal the car but don't want to get robbed either. A couple of hundred here and there is ok. The dealer I am dealing with is in Massachusetts. Thanks! Going to pull the plug on this very soon.
  • I am looking to purchase a 2009 328i CPO w/ 28k miles non-metallic color and leatherette. no additional options. dealer has listed the price at $22,200. This will be my 1st BMW purchase.
Is that a fair price? do you think I have room for negotiation? if yes, what would be a fair price to pay?
I am in no hurry to purchase so I can wait until end of year. usually by year end, does the price of CPO vehicles drop similar to new cars?
  • flightnurseflightnurse 35K feetPosts: 1,644
Are you sure there are no options on this car? 4 Dr or 2Dr, Manuel or Auto?

Kelly Blue Book says this car (assuming it is a 4 door) is worth 26K. BMW dealers are pretty good about pricing their CPO cars, so not too sure why there is a 4K difference..
  • does anyone know what the money factor is for November on a 2013 328i xDrive 39 month lease with 12k miles?

    328i sedan
    melbourne red metallic
    premium package
    15k per yr.

    total $41,545.00

$1,500 due and $512.20 per month.
  • Went into my dealer looking at 2013 328i sedan. Dealer has a brand new 2012 328i; premium package, technology, metallic paint, backup sensor that he is pushing.

How much discount should I expect on a 2012 being that it is a) the previous model year and b) the previous body style compared to the 2013s?

    Thanks
  • Carman,

I had the same thing happen and my question is this: is there a difference between the residual or money factor between the '12 and '13? And any additional discounts?

BTW, for the above question, the '12 and '13 sedans are pretty much the same.
  • Sounds like its a 2013 335i.? I just purchased a 2013 335i 4 door last Thursday. I checked the rebates and found if you BMW finance a minimum of $7,500 you receive a $750 credit. Found out you only need to make 3 payments than can pay off without a penalty or loosing the 750.00 credit. I also received 1,000.00 credit due to the new loyalty program that came out last Monday for previous BMW owners. I also received a 1.000 credit for becoming a member of USAA auto insurance. Dont need to buy the insurance just sign up to be a free member. I will probably check there rates and if a substantial savings will switch to USAA as my show of loyalty. Bottom line i received $2,750 in credits off my best negoated price. the discounts do not come off the dealers profit.
  • Is there any current lease deals for 328i x-drive with premium and navigation.... or just premium. I was looking at 24 month/36 month sign and drive with no down payment. 12,000 miles a year. Any help is appreciated.
  • scorzscorz Posts: 7
    Purchased outright with:

    - $1000 USAA discount
    - $1000 finance incentive (3.29%, can pay off fully after 3 month, will accrue ~$150 in interest in 3 months)

Total Price: $42,800 (9.1% off MSRP)

    - Technology Package
    - Cold Weather Package
    - Premium Package
    - Saphire Metallic Black

    Extras:
    - All weather mats included
    - Valet service included (will deliver loaner for scheduled service within 40 miles of dealer)
    - 2 BMW coffee mugs (cause they are cool looking aluminum travel mugs)
    - 1 BMW knit hat (cause, why not?)

    DC area

I feel like I received a great deal, but I always feel that I left something on the table... Did I do well?

Hello, I am new to car leasing. I found the following from a local dealer's website (So Cal). I wonder if it is a good deal?

    2013 328i Sedan

    •$298* per month (plus tax)
    •36 month lease
    •10,000 miles per year
    •$500 down payment

Comparing to BMWUSA, monthly payment is $339 and $2750 down (including holiday credit and loyalty cash). 10k miles/year is sufficient for me. I emailed dealer for MSRP/selling price/money factor/residual value. But dealer did not reply. Just based on the low down payment and monthly payment, is it a good deal assuming it is a base model?
  • flightnurseflightnurse 35K feetPosts: 1,644
Yes, base model , which dealer is this from? Locally the dealers have 2013 328i $279/m + tax 39 months, 10K/yr however, it is 3K down + tax and Lic... So not too sure if your is really $500 down..
  • jatyjaty Posts: 6
Not sure if it is allowed to post dealer's link. I can PM you if you want.

In fact I just found another lease deal from the same dealer:

    2013 X3 xDrive28i for $298* a month (plus tax)
•$298* a month plus tax (holiday credit and loyalty cash included)
    •36 Month Lease
    •10,000 miles per year
    •$3,000 down

Not sure what the gimmicks are behind the deal. I would think even with a base X3 model and $3k down, $298/month plus tax is a good deal? Based on previous experience with this dealer, they often quoted wrong price just to get us call them. I am not sure if this time they will honor the deal, or what shall I ask for to find out what exactly the true picture is?

As a general question, I wonder if there is any price difference in the finally selling price between lease and purchase? Let's say I see folks on this forum purchased the same model in similar location for X dollors before TTL, shall I target the same selling price for my lease negotiation?
  • I am in So Cal, did you close this deal? WHat options where included? What dealer? I have a friend looking for a 328i sedan. I think this is a base model.
  • tell them to email you the price you have discussed. If they refuse to they are playing with you. If they do then you got the deal!
  • Hey carman, do you have the money factor and residual value for this car for a 36 mth lease, 10k miles? Does BMW have any special offers for this vehicle. They are advertising up to $3500 holiday incentive?
