Engine, overall issues. 2011 GMC Acadia.

We own a 2011 GMC Acadia. We have two young children so safety and reliability is extremely important to me. WE have had so many issues and I find myself torn with what to do. I had the Timing chain break during highway driving (64k miles) which we received a brand new engine, a few recalls, power steering replaced, and the high pressure fuel pump replaced all within 10 months. Now the car makes a ticking noise and runs much louder than I feel it should.
Is this car going to be a problem for the whole life of the vehicle? When the timing chain broke, could it have caused other issues that we don't know about yet?
Any advice is appreciated!
