I had a '60 Falcon. Good car, but also made you familiar with the acceleration of an older diesel Mercedes. Oh, while I'm here, behind the '61 Chevy (which is, in turn behind the Dauphine) is a '58-'60 Rambler. Always thought those were cute.

Nice 1965 Mustang Coupe with the delete option on the chrome over the "scoop" behind the door.

Willow Run MI was the site of the huge Ford factory which produced thousands of B-24 Liberator heavy bombers. By war's end they were making one every hour. Later Willow Run was where Kaiser Corporation made Kaiser and Frazer automobiles to be among the first to respond to the postwar demand for new cars.

Our first family car was a 1947 Frazer.

Nice '65 Mustang on left. The blue Chysler on left is probably a '66 or '66. Pretty color, looks very modern.

Willow Run was the site of the gigantic Ford plant that by war's end produced a four engine B-24 Liberator bomber every hour. After 1945 Kaiser Corp. made Kaiser and Frazer automobiles there.

Our first family car was a 1947 Frazer.

Bumper on that Mustang is bent up a bit.
VW type 411 or 412 wagon parked nose to nose with a 65 Impala. They might even be touching.

Nice firebird. Hard to see details but I think a 69.

Red matador sedan next to a later nova. Maybe a 1970? I like that nose.

Correct, the Ghibli, introduced in 1967 was styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro when he was at Ghia. It is still considered one of the prettiest cars ever made The only argument is whether it's nicer in Coupe or Spider form.

Yeah those t/ls were hard to miss. BTW it's a 1962 Crown Imperial. The look was rather dated for '62 but loking at it now you can see the last hurrah of The Forward Look and for that I prefer it over the contemporary Cadillac or Continental.

Beautiful color, neat car. They tamed down the styling for 63 and brought out a Lincoln influenced and handsome restyle in 64.

It's about as "Llincoln-influenced" as they could get without triggering a lawsuit. Good looking but why not just go for the Lincoln?

You're saying there were several types? I've only heard the term "gunsight tailights" but jet or rocket seems more appropos on the car I posted.

Looking at the front of the rear light, I though gunsight but looking from the back I thought jet engine.
I'm not going to claim I know what look they were going for on that car. :D

Those rear lights on the 62 Crown Imperial look more like space age Ice cream cornets - perhaps strawberry flavour to explain the red...

Back in the day, some wag termed those "microphone" taillights as "sparrow strainers". :s

that piece by Car wizard was on an SL600. Wiring harness shot, and roof hydraulics blown out. and it was sitting with a Carolina squat stance.

I think all together it was about 20k to sort it all out. car was mechanically totaled.

apparently a set of harnesses for the 600 are unobtanium. have to be custom made by an expert for a huge $ amount.
