  • Car_Man,

I have a question about the following leasing information that you have provided:

2010 A4 Premium Sedan with 15,000 miles per year are .00106 and 54%
2011 A4 Prestige Sedan with 15,000 miles per year are .00145 and 48%
How can the residual value for the Prestige model, which is a better equipped vehicle, be LOWER than the Premium model? That seems counter-intuitive. :confuse:
  • The residual is a lower percentage of MSRP, but with the large difference in price, the dollar amount residual will still be higher for the Prestige model.

Actually, that's pretty typical of most leasing residuals.. base models retain a higher percentage of MSRP than highly-optioned models... Those expensive options, while desirable, depreciate faster than the car as a whole.

  • Hi Ankur. Here's the info that you're looking for.

Audi Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 A4 Sedan Premium Plus with quattro and 15,000 miles per year are .00112 and 52%, respectively.

The residual values for a lease with 12,000 miles per year would be 2% and the residual values for a lease with 10,000 miles per year would be 3% higher.

  • Greetings avneron. The selling prices of leased vehicles are negotiable, just as if you were paying cash for or financing them. It is difficult to tell how good a deal this is without comparing this car's selling price to its MSRP. Let us know what these numbers are and I'm sure that either myself or another knowledgeable community member will gladly let you know what they think.

  • I sure can, rodist. Audi Financial Services' September buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a base 2011 A4 Premium Sedan without quattro with 15,000 miles per year are 00069 and 54%, respectively.

The numbers for an otherwise identical 39 month lease are .00089 and 52%.

  • Hi raj1. I personally don't have a problem with the reliability of new Audi products. The quality of its vehicles is much higher than it was years ago.

Having said that I personally would lean towards leasing rather than purchasing a new 2011 A4 right now. Audi currently has an attractive level of lease support available on this car.

I suppose that my response is not all that surprising though given the fact that I have leased about 90% of the vehicles that I have had in my life and I host a discussion about "Lease Questions" :).

  • Here you go amarige.

Audi Financial Services' September buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2010 A4 2.0T Premium Sedan without quattro with 12,000 miles per year are .00177 and 48%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

  • Hey Zen. kyfdx is absolutely right. Vehicles that are loaded often have lower residual value percentages than vehicles with less equipment. We see this sort of thing all the time on vehicles that are equipped with navigation. For whatever reason, consumers usually are not willing to pony up as much money for options on used vehicles and thus the options depreciate at a faster rate than the vehicles themselves.

    Hi Car_man

Trying to help a friend with a lease. He's looking at:

2010 A4 Avant Quattro Premium and Premium Plus
2011 A4 Avant Quattro Premium and Premium Plus

Do you have the current Audi numbers?
  • Here you go spencermfi.

Audi Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 A4 Avant Premium with 15,000 miles per year are .00140 and 56%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

The numbers for an otherwise identical lease of an '11 A4 Avant Premium Plus are .00140 and 53%.

The numbers for an otherwise identical lease of an '10 A4 Avant Premium Plus are .00177 and 48%.

The numbers for an otherwise identical lease of an '10 A4 Avant Premium Plus are .00177 and 45%.

The reason why the lease program for the 2010 model is so much worse is that Audi is no longer providing lease support on the '10 A4. That's the bad news. The good news is that Audi is providing $2,000 dealer cash on the '10 A4 Avant that is compatible with its lease program.

Closed my lease on the A-4 Premium Plus with a Sticker at $39,570. (Metallic, Exhaust Tips, All Weather Mats, Walnut Trim. Turned in an A-4 lease so got my $750 Loyalty. With Audi Care the price of the car was $37667. In IL you have to add tax. I opted for a 42 month 12k a year lease with a Residual of 51% and Money Factor of .00152. First month payment and tags I was out the door at $723.00. Monthly is 533.85 for 41 remaining payments.

Thanks CAR__ MAN for the numbers. Always fun going in prepared.
  • Hi Carman,

Would you provide me with the MF and residual for the 2011 A4 Premium Plus quattro with Nav for 42 month and 10K, 12K, and 15K miles? Thanks a bunch.

    Jeremy
  • Hi Car Man,

Would it be possible to get those number for 36 and 39 months as well? Thank you.

  • I'm looking for the current 36 & 42 month lease numbers (12K miles/yr) on the 2011 A4 Avant Prestige. Put a deposit on one back in August but need to know if the financing has changed now as the car is due in the end of the month.

    Thanks!

Hi, I was wondering what you guys thought of this offer, and is there any major downfalls to a 42 month lease as opposed to the 36 month?

    - 2011 Audi A4 Premium Plus (auto/quattro) + Audi Care

    Sticker: 38,415 - $1250 rebate - 750 Audi cash = $36,415
    Down Payment: $1500

    36m/12,000 = $517
    42m/12,000 = $499

    Thanks!!
