  • What a bad experience i had today walking into a lexus dealer in south florida
First i was told over the phone
RX 350 24 months with 15 k was 550.00 with taxes buILT in with 1380 out of pocket.

When i go there i was told it was 650.00 with 1380 out of pocket they tried to wear us down staying for a long period of time

i had 2 payments left at 660.00 and was told they have to appraise the car
but i was told lexus now has a pull a head program from the bad experience i had with lexus and sales person to go else where maybe bmw or mercedes

They pulled a fast one on me

  • My sales guy called me at 7:30 pm last night said you have to come into today to do a new buy order on my car

maybe they made an error on contract
but i will night sign if things look different

    i took possession of car
  • I have never leased before. I am looking at leasing a Lexus RX 350 without Nav. Already have an IS250 which we are keeping. Want a lower monthly payment so the deal they are offering is $5,000 down and $400 a month plus tax $432 total. 36 mod. 10,000 mi. in so. Cal. Is this reasonable? Thx
  • You're very welcome davidg73.

  • Hi TogaDad. A ton of manufacturers are rolling out President's Day specials, but I heaven't heard about anything for the holiday from Lexus yet. Has anyone else? It certainly wouldn't hurt to lease one this weekend.

Good luck and let me know if you need anything else.

  • Hi sevenaway. Lexus Financial Services' February buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2013 RX 350 AWD without the Luxury package with 15,000 miles per year are .00100 and 57% for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

When negotiating your deal on this vehicle, make sure to take advantage of the $1,000 cash incentive that is currently available on leases of this model.

  • Hi soapdish616. Please see my previous post for the information that you're looking for. I haven't crunched the numbers, but if you provide me with the MSRP and dealer invoice price of the exact model that you are considering (you can find that data Here) I would be happy to work up a sample lease payment on it for you.

Bankrate.com should give you a good idea of what the interest rates are like on used vehicles right now. Lexus has been known to offer special financing rates as low as 0.9% on Certified Pre-Owned vehicles. You could always get the dealer to Certify your off-lease vehicle and get its special rates.

  • It is accurate that leasing and purchasing are about the same cost wise.

The value of leasing is you don't pay as much on a monthly basis as you would on a purchase. Of course you don't gain the same equity. However, a person could simply put the difference between a lease payment and a purchase payment into a savings account which is essentially the same as equity only it is in the form of cash.

The one aspect of a lease which is always more expensive than a purchase is the acquisition fee, often $600 to $700. An acquisition fee is not applicable to a purchase.

A person would also pay a bit more in financing on a lease as the interest is paid on the balance of the loan which decreases faster on a purchase than on a lease. However, as long the the lease Money Factor is low this should not be a big difference.

One thing that so many on these pricing forums seem not to understand is it is rarely a good idea to put money down at lease inception. Putting a large sum down might lower the payment but that does not lower the cost.
  • Car man, does the lease money factor of .00100 apply nationally or does it vary by region? If it does vary, what is it for the Southern region? Thanks!

Looks like they will waive up to 4 months payment on:

    RX 350 w approx $46,950k sticker price

Lease is $427 / mo 27 mos with 10k miles / year. $3779 due at signing plus taxes and fees so in essence 4 free months = $1708 in waived payments meaning around $2,000 net out of pocket.

Anyone know if there is a catch to this deal?
  • Hi guys,

I read through a lot of posts here and i wanted to get an opinion on this deal. I have seen people getting base price 4-5K below MSRP for lease.

    RX 350 AWD + premium + navigation
    MSRP : 50,160

Dealer offered base price : 47500
I am trying to negotiate it to : 46000

    Residual : 60%
    months : 36 months
    MF : .0010

    Any help appreciated.
  • I have seen a lease offer of $429/mo 27 mos /3779 due with 10k miles for a RX 350 MSRP of $46950... but there was no mention of waiving 4 mos of payments.

I would be interested in knowing the details to the lease payment calculation of such an offer.
  • What is the February 2013 money factor (tie 1 credit) and residual value on an RX for 3 yr/36k mi with Premium, Comfort, wood/leather steering, prem audio, Nav, tow, and preferred accessory pkg? The MSRP is $48,800.

Saw it on a pop up ad - will try to find for you but try to google it too.
  • i guess i paid too much: RX350 AWD with premium, comfort and navigation packages - MSRP about $49,900, 3 year, 12,000 mi. per year, about $1,800 out of pocket including first payment -$580 a month..
  • I just picked up a new 2013 RX 350 on a 36 month/15k lease in Southern California. Here are the numbers:

    MSRP- $50195
    negotiated price- 44400
    loyalty incentive- $1000
    total sell price- $43400
$0 drive off, first month payment waived
    MF- .001
    residual- 57%
    payment- $589 a month for 35 months
  • What is considered a good as base cap cost for a RX 350 where MSRP = 50,160. I have a dealer
who is stuck at 46,900 (doesn't include any down payment)

Is this considered a good deal? Can we go down further...

    Lease for 36 months , 10K miles, MF = 0.001.
    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks
  • Here's what I have been offered in NC. Seems ridiculously high compared to others I am seeing on this board. $5,500 due at signing. Wow! Any advice would be appreciated.

    $49,561 MSRP
    $47,265 Selling price
    36 months
    15,000 miles per year
    $5,500 due at signing
    $550 per month
