The residual value often has no bearing on the true value of the car at lease end. It's a number provided by marketing to help lease vehicles. May be higher than the true value at lease end.

Generally the numbers change monthly. However, we haven't seen any numbers from Volvo for several months.

Hello - received RV of 56% and MF of 0.00100 for 36/15K lease on 2016 XC70 Momentum Premier AWD yesterday in PA. Any idea if there would be flex on the MF given past MF values in 2016?

We haven't seen any Volvo lease numbers for a number of months, so can't tell you if that MF is marked up or not. And, we don't have any vision into how those numbers might change down the road.

Basic question here. When the % is quoted, e.g. 56%,59%, what two values are being compared? Residual to MSRP, residual to adjusted capital cost, etc.?

Residual percentage as applied to MSRP - bottom line number of window sticker, inclusive of destination charge.

This forum seems a bit dead, but the lease offers on the XC70 are pretty great right now. Just got my wife a 2016 XC70 T5 Drive- E FWD Premier for $369/month on a 36/12,000 lease with zero down.

MSRP = 45,040
Selling price = 35,151
MF = .00068
Residual = 55%
Tax = 300
Tag, dealer fee and acquisition = 25 + 199 + 695 = 919
So I rolled 1219 into the deal since the rate is so low it really didnt make sense to even put that money down.

We leased in South Carolina but I thought it was a heck of a deal, almost 22% off MSRP and my wife really likes the car. If you are in the market for a XC70 I would jump on one while they last.

seems that the residual changed from 56/54 in October to 51/49 in November. That's a big change.

For a 2016 model that isn't being continued for 2017, I can't say I'm surprised by that.
