Please let us know how you like the ride and how is the mileage.
Thanks and enjoy your new ride.
1. You could not feel the gears change at all. We have a '99 Corolla right now, so I can feel when gears are shifting. The acceleration was quick like Speedy Gonzalez.
2. The Bluetooth option is actually compatible with my phone (Palm Treo 700wx). I forgot to un-sync my phone with the one we test-drove. Hopefully my phone directory isn't stored there forever.
3. The Navigation system has voice recognition, and the display is touch screen. Though it looks small in pictures, the display is actually decent sized and easily viewed from the driver's or front passenger's seats.
3. It fits people of all sizes comfortably, from 5' 2" and 105lbs to 6' 2" and 200lbs.
4. The interior is to die for. So much storage space for both the front and rear passengers. Not good for a packrat like myself.
The thing that sold me was the Intelligent Key. I love the fact that you don't have to put it in the 'key slot' to turn the car on. You can keep it in your pocket or purse, but as long as it is in the vicinity, you can turn on the ignition. Love it!
My fiance's only gripe was the fact that you have to go through a lot of trouble to get to the spare tire. Apparently the woofer is located on top of it, and is held down by a giant bolt thing. You just have to take a trunk panel off, unscrew the bolt, remove the woofer and you got your spare tire. I told him, you're already f*cked anyway if you have a flat tire, who cares if you have to go through a few extra steps!
The trim level we test drove was the top of the line, LE with the Navigation and the Moonroof Packages. I told the salesperson that we weren't buying right then, but they gave us a price anyway. They offered it to us at $35538, about a grand below invoice. Apparently, because they just came out, the dealership was eager to get their stock out on the road. Still didn't bite though; I'd like to see more reviews especially on reliability. But if I keep dreaming about the Murano, like I've been the 4 past nights since the test-drive, we might just buy it. At the end of the month, of course! :P

You sound like a salesperson who just wants to rope in any gullible, uninformed buyer into purchasing a vehicle based solely on gut and heart, rather than brain. Call me a dreamer, but I plan on making an informed decision, thank you very much.
The Murano you purchased (SL FWD with Nav, et. al.) is what I am very interested in and am constantly comparing with the 08 Acura RDX. What was your OTD price, if you don't mind me asking? What state did you end up purchasing it in?
Thanks!
There is no iPod connection on the SL. The LE connection is in the center console, where I thought mine was. It is a proper connection to an iPod and as you probably know allows the iPod to function via the screen. The only plug in the radio has is for a Compact Flash Card. I'll bet that since the radio is the same for the LE, Nissan did not run the wire and connector to the console. However, I don't think for this type vehicle you would want someone poking around the back of the radio looking for the plug in to run the wire. As for an after market device, I don't know. Could only speculate. Hope that helps.
I got it in TX. They only came $1K off sticker, better than here and nicer people, but they gave me what I wanted for the trade. I also purchased the extended warranty (Plat) and got it at employee cost, at least that's what they said. Still, $400 less than asking. The wife has come home each night telling me that she is talking her way the voice recg. system with ease. This is amazing.. Also, the blue tooth for the phone, is clear and crisp reception on both ends. I have a friend that has a '05 Infiniti M35, his blue tooth reception, etc. is not good. Even after having the dealer change out some parts. I'm pleased with the purchase. When buying a car your going to get taken. The thing is to try and not get taken to much and be pleased with your deal/purchase. There is a dealer, Fitzgerald Auto Mall in PA that is selling '09 Murano's $300 - $500 over MSRP. It's just to far for me to drive.
Can You please tell us which dealership gave you that price and which State?
Thankyou.
"Due to incorrect software programming, the airbag control unit may cause the passenger airbag not to operate as designed if the vehicle battery becomes significantly discharged," said the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in its summary of the problem. "This could result in the passenger airbag not inflating in a crash in which it was designed to do so, and increasing the risk of injury."
Nissan dealers will reprogram the faulty airbag control unit. The recall is expected to begin sometime this month. Owners of the affected vehicles can call Infiniti at (800) 662-6200 or Nissan at (800) 647-7261.
I am gonna check that post right now.
I am still waiting for our dealership to get the LE model.
Thankyou.
The LE has the real iPod interface with an actual iPod dock connector type plugin for your iPod with the artist/track information, etc, showing up on screen.
Don't think that is true. You have to get an LE to get the fancy system that allows control thru the touch-screen. There is an AUX either on the head unit or behind the console - read the manual.
Let me clarify that an iPod has TWO types of connections - Analog (headphones) and DIGITAL. Any 2009 Murano will allow you to connect your ANALOG headphones output to your sound system via the available AUX connector (in-dash on non-Bose models, rear of the center console on Bose-equipped models). If you have an AUX IN connector, you can connect ANY ANALOG device to your sound system. In the case of the iPod, you will have to deal with the fact that it is a Headphones plug, not a true Line-Out. Set the iPod volume to just below Half-Max to avoid distortion when controlling the volume through your sound system.
Only LE allows you to connect the iPod via its DIGITAL connector. This way you can control your iPod via the Audio system buttons, whatever they are, including Touch-Screen on NAV equipped model. You will see Artist Info, Track Info, etc... You will be able to control your iPod via your sound system control buttons, steering wheel mounted controls, and touch-screen (on NAV models only).
Otherwise, you will have to use the Jog Wheel on your iPod. Yes, you'll always get the AUDIO out of your iPod to the sound system, but not AUDIO CONTROL, unless you have an LE.
I can confirm that the LE Digital iPod interface works with iPod Classic Gen 6. The Manual only lists up to 5th Gen as compatible...And your iPod is being charged when connected to LE's digital interface.

Ahh mark up correction :surprise:
There is 7% mark up from invoice and 2% hold back.... Just speaking as a Nissan Sales rep.
If you try and get 15% mark up as a discount you will have a difficult time.
This does not include any rebates on any vehicles.Obviously there are no incentives on the 2009's Murano's... The Murano is so hot right now that it doesn't need any.

If it's that big of a deal to you then you should call up the owner of the dealership, explain the situation and tell him you want a swap from your SL to an LE with no penalty for the miles you've put on the SL. You would still be expected to pay the $2000 price difference between the two models. There's simply no way that a dealership is going to eat those costs just to make you happy over a salesperson giving you some bad info.
Think about the only reason it isn't worth it is because you have neverhad them before. I guarantee once you find out how convienant the I-key, blue tooth, rain sensing wipers are you won't believe how you lived with them all this time. Not to mention how much more visibilty you will have the xenon lights.
As the nike commercial says "just do it" or just get it. I promise in a month after you get it you will be happy.
Good luck!

Have to agree with Moo on that one.
Moo you probably could guess who would have suggested that
GP
The original poster said they had a roof pkg. a $34... car I thought... Sometimes ya never know what people are buying or have been told. A lot of people still low ball.
I agree with your pricing on the 2007 used Muranos S. We have been selling them at $22,988 all day long.
Also your right they won't get the rebate and the low financing. It sounds like they got low balled. " Sorry but that rebate went away and your price is now $1500 more."
GP
You left out heated rear seats, wood trim, power tele and tilt steering wheel, memory seating. :surprise:

Well I am a salesperson. Everything you just said about not thinking about something is fine. But with todays technology isn't it easy to do all your research. Find out what people are saying. Ahh once again do all your research. Narrow it down to what you want. Obviously doing your research you know what you are paying. The only thing holding you up is test driving the vehicles and seeing which one you like best. If when you are doing your research you decide on a vehicle and you don't want anything else besides that vehicle. If by chance whe you go to a dealer and they get the numbers where you want them... Why do you still need time to research? Heck take two years. The manufactures and the forums will still be here expressing there opinions.
Just looking for guilliable person to pay $1000 over sticker :confuse:

plus how many times have you found the perfect meter spot... search your pockets just to find no quarters...
Hehehe, I had to laugh on that one. I'm sure you meant "gesture" and not "jester". Imagine a court jester running around making sure your needs were met.
At any rate, the dealership should do something. That is a big blunder. I remember losing sales over the lack of an Ipod connection. This is obviously a very important feature to customers. They should work with you.

Anyone have an idea or solution to put your coins in the car?
Thanks.
Maybe you could buy a roll of quarters and stash them in a cubby or glove box?
Take your right hand, insert it into your right pant pocket. Drop coins. Remove hand.

But that's all that flops up. No idea who the OEM manufacturer is.
I'm here in Atlanta. I rarely use change except for the occasional parking meter and toll road run.
I wish I could help you find that elusive coin holder, but unfortunately, I don't sell Nissans anymore.

20" Wheel & P235/55R20 all-season tires
Integrated Interface System for iPod
Memory system-driver's seats, steering wheel and outside mirrors
Heated rear seats
Wood-tone trim
so here is the question: Is it worth to pay extra $2000 for getting LE?
