Jeep Grand Cherokee Grease inside the rim

I have a 2002 Grand Cherokee and had my tires rotated yesterday. The right front tire had an excessive amount of grease all on the inside of the rim. Has this happened to anyone before? Is there a certain fitting or seal that has busted near the tire that I should look at? Thanks

check the axel boot on the outer end of the axel prob has crack in it (just scoot under front and grab with your hand and check it out) if from there will have greese all over your hand
  • I was changing my brake pads had the same problem rear passenger side had to have my rear seal changed and it is soo close to the gear they cut both of them and the problem stopped. The surprise is that they are soo small. I have an 02 Overland
