Alignment issues

Every since I bought my car new back in july of 98. It always pulled to the left on the freeways. I brought it in for service within the first 1000 miles and was told nothing could be done until the suspesion was settled in till at least 2000 miles.

Well I never brought it back in for this issue, due to the numerous other problems I had. I lived with it for 40k miles. Until I changed my tires. The car noticibly started to pull hard to the left on the freeways. I requested an alignment be done and they found my driver side front caster and camber were out of the factory tolerance ranges. They then told me the caster and camber are not adjustable on your vehicle. So I lived with it again.

Until now, my cars 2 1/2 yrs old...I'm at 78k miles and i'm started to get annoyed by the pulling to the left. I want to get this fixed.

From my experience so far...I've been told I could try 2 different routes. Either take my car to a autobody specialist and have them try and straighten the suspension out.

Or have a front end shop tinker with suspension componets like bushings and stuff to try and get it back to factory specifications.

Before I begin developing a migrain headache over car issues again and spend countless hours and money on this.

Could someone fill me in on their experiences with simlar issues like this or maybe recommend a course of action to take towards resolving this problem?

Its obvious my car was like this from the day it came off the truck. It was probably dropped a tad hard somewhere. But either way....I love spyder gst with a passion. I want to keep its performance and feel in tip top shape.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated..

from what i've been told... if there is no kit for your car to correct camber.. just authorize your mechanic to do it manually..
(2 mechanics - one car-- one mechanic pushing the whatever and then keep remeasuring until it's within spec.... thats what infiniti said to do to my car (my camber on the right is within spec... but its the -.10 which is the absolute farther negative thats within spec.. my tires get eaten so fast. so i'll do this next oil change.

Isn't there a spacer for the strut that can fix this? This is a strut car, right?

One way or the other, ANY car can be adjusted, although on some cars it is a bit brutal.

Moog manufactures and distributes camber and/or caster adjustment kits for a large number of vehicles which have no factory provision for adjustment. They're in their "Problem Solver" line of products.

Yes, although some of these "kits" actually contain complete new suspension components, not just shims and bushings. This is what I had to do on my Alfa to get alignment settings conducive to good cornering.
