2009 Black on Black E-Class 4-matic with P1 package & Sports package
MSRP including destination is $58, 275
Price quoted to buy is $45,796
The car is brand new with 10 miles. Is this a good deal? Can I do better?
Dealer also said he would do a 3 yr 100,000 mile extended warranty from Mercedes for $3700. Is that a good deal?
Thank You for your responses
The invoice on the car is 54257
minus fact to dealer - 6000
equals 48257
minus your quote - 45706
equals 2551 under invoice
May I ask who and where the dealer is? On the surface it seems like a good price, but I need to look more at what others are paying. Thanks
I actually got this deal from 3 different dealers. All are located in Chicago. I just picked up the car on Sat and wow it is amazing!
Which dealer did you go to ?
adlee16@gmail.com
Motorworks, Knauz Motors, and Loeber Motors.
Hope that helps...
I'm keeping my E320, no questions, no doubts - she has run like a well made Mercedes since I bought her and regular maintenance has kept her that way, so that's that! What I'm looking for are places to compare having the body restored to showroom condition.
There are minor scratches in the paint, an ugly 1" scrape from a commuter park-n-ride lot and the paint has oxidized on the hood. The leather isn't cracked or dirty, no body damage and guess it's more cosmetic than anything.
I was quoted $5,000 to strip her down to the nub and bring her back to life, new knobs for the door (those suckers fall off too easily) but that was before MB decided all parts had to come strictly from them.
Has anyone had their baby redone, I'm only looking to get ballpark estimate what this might run. Currently I'm in Washington state but will take it out of state for a reliable and conscientious shop.
Thanks for any suggestions...remember, I have no intentions of selling or trading this car in. She's simply beginning to show her age
PS - That image is not my car!
E350 with:
289 Wood Steering wheel,
413 Panorama sunroof,
P02 Premium II Pkg.
MSRP $61,045
Selling/purchase price 48,000
+ Dealer Fee 599
+ Acquisition Fee 1,095
+ Prepaid maintenance 1,010 4 years
Capitalized Cost $50,704
Down payment 3,960
+ taxes, tags, fees 580
( I elected to pay $5,000 in cash to keep payment under $500, so that was my total out of pocket. However, at 1%, it might be desirable to finance more.)
48 monthly payments of 476.53 + 21.04 maintenance
TOTAL 497.57
12,000 miles per year
Residual 42% (25,639)
Money Factor .00038 equal to .91 APR
With 21.3% discount and less than 1% cost of financing, this seems to be a pretty good deal.
After 4 years you will have paid $476.53*48 = $22,873 + $5,000 + $1,500 for tires and brakes = $29,373. I am excluding what you are paying for maintenance. Plus your residual is still based on the $61k price not the $48k which is bringing down your payment. In this scenario I would already buy the car although it seems like your only concern is the monthly cost to be under $500. You could have bought a certified pre owned 2007 for $30k.
The effective interest rate of .91% makes the lease attractive. My total cost if I buy the car for the residual is still basically $48,000 plus interest, maintenance, taxes and dealer fees etc.
The $500 payment was strictly an arbitrary choice that doesn't really matter - just a preference. I would actually be better off if I let them roll more of the cost into the payments with only a .91% interest rate.
If I bought a 2007 for $30k, the interest rate would probably be around 7% and I don't want a used car. Different strokes.
Thanks
Wait 5-6 months and get it with no money down for about $950 a month.
It's a new car and they will do anything to take your money, but in this economy -
I'd give them about 6 months to chill out. You can get new S-class cheaper than this.
I expect used S-Class to be a major competitor to the new E which, appearance-wise may seem different from the old E but have the same engine - if you are particular about the E-Coupe, well shop around - you should get much cheaper deals.
Can anyone tell me or share their experience with leasing a 2010, E350, 4matic with Premium 1 package?
What is a good buying price for this. MSRP is $56, 645
Any tips would be awesome!
Thanks
Thanks
Thanks in advance!
Just follow instructions.

Anyone who is a USAA member, this is via their MB purchase program.
There are no local E350's in my zip code are you allowed to use an out of state zip code?
Also would you be kind enough to look up the pricing for me if I provide you my zip?
Thanks much!
It was a standard discount and then any options, it was just adding the invoice price of the option. Anyone still looking for a 2009 E350 better get in soon though because I didn't have many to choose from.
But, if I can save a couple thousand, it would still come out less expensive. Hassle is, you have to wait 6-8 weeks to get the car after you come home.
First, the salesman gives a turnaround story about being a fleet member and how fleet members take advantage of it's affiliation to purchase cars at discount. Then, he states $8,000.00 off for the Silver/Black combination. Lastly, the manager comes out with no 2.9% for 66 months financing when combined with discount. He states, it's either 2.9% or additional 2K. I also inquired about a ML350, in which the salesman states that Mercedes got rid of the fleet program at end of July. So, for all those who are getting the fleet discount in California, you are imaging it.....
Not sure I am surprised, but the salesman and the manager are wrong.
Greed...
Good luck to those who had the fortune of purchasing/leasing at these prices.
Good luck!
Can anyone provide a valide CAN number? or tell me how to get one?
Thanks,
