The Halms manual is the same one that dealers use.

Yeap it will fit, but you are better off just buying a 2000 Civic Si/SiR as it has different tranny and better suspension than stock 2000 EX/Si (US/Canada)
If you are going to do the engine swap, the B18 from Integra is probably better bolt on, or H22 from prelude (more involved).
I believe all Civics, except 2004-2005 Si are 4x100.
If you are in US, the '97 should have 1.6 liter, and depending on the trim it may be a D16. I am pretty sure B16's were reserved for 1999-2000 Civic Si only.
If you have manual you can start adding more power, however if you have auto, any add-on's will be lost in the slush box.
Nitrous - $600 - cheap way to add 10 seconds of high power
Supercharge - $1500 and up decent way to add continuous power
Turbo - $3000 and up -- great way to add power.
Thanks!

Honda branded ones are made by McGuard if I am not mistaken. They work fine. You can get them from the site sponsor at a discount or from your dealer. If you bring the print out from HandA, they will likley to match the price.
1. In addition to sound insulation, the hood liner offered by Dynamat has a reflective coating that reflects heat back to the engine. Won't this put stress on the engine especially in hot weather while sitting at stop lights?
2. The hood liner from Fatmat is advertised to absorb engine heat which answers my concern about the Dynamat liner. However, I have read on other forums that some people have experienced problems with Fatmat products coming unglued, especially when applied to surfaces where it hangs upside down (like in an engine compartment).
Does anyone have any experiences they'd like to share?
Try JC Whitney They sell aftermarket Cruise controls. You may as well try Honda and see what their price is, and whether it is possible to retrofit Honda OEM cruise.
Should I be changing size? [stock is 185/70R14]
Any suggestion for brands or specific tires? [Anyone have experience with Goodyear's Assurance Comfortred?
P.S what would the differance be from getting my engine super/turbo charged?
a cold air intake for more air then headers those are the best performance parts you should star of with those are the cheapest way to upgrades you civic the you decide what you want to put like nitrous turbo super charge and stuff like that
it will not be cheap TIP: ONE STEP AT A TIME
88 Civic LX did not come with B16 from the factory. If you already dropped a new engine in it, I think you know what to do next. Or Should have dropped B18 in it :-)
Hope to hear back from you angelm.
Also, if you have 200 bucks and a day to spare, replace your exhaust manifold (which is probably cast iron, very tight, and extremely heavy) with a ceramic coated high flow header...also install a high flow catalytic (or go with a cat back system...more $$$). I put a racing header and high flow cat on my car...cost about 200 bucks total from ebay...took a day to get the rusted ones off and I noticed increased performance with these too.
You can get racing fuel rails pretty cheap too that deliver more fuel faster...but they are a pain to install...but that's also an option. Unless you're hard core about souping up..I'd stick to the basic bolt-on stuff.
thanks
They are 6 1/2" round speakers.
thanks
I've looked at Thule and Yakima's racks, and they both look good. Any recommendations?
i own a 98 Civic EX which i love, but would like to know if the taillights from a 99 Si will fit- they sure LOOK the same- any help would be appreciated, since i don't want to fork over the cash for something that turns out to be useless.
Thanks in advance!!
If your Civic only came with two speakers, your radio may not be equipped with a fader control. I would recommend that you take it to a professional for their opinion. Your only option may be to have them install a new stereo unit along with the rear speakers. Good luck.
p.s. To really improve the sound, you should also replace the original front door speakers too.
