Is this a good deal for TX? I know its a 2007, but I don't mind and it should also qualify for special financing.
Also, the salesman claims to not know anything about the finance rates. Any recommendations before I drive the 90 miles to their location?
I could not find any pre-owned 2008 EX-L, V-6, AT, w/ Navi in any of the major car websites (Vehix, Cars.com, Edmunds, etc. )
Thanks for your input.
Edmunds claims the car is $23,300 invoice, so it looks like $1300 under that.
thx
Bottomline: Dealers make lots of money on trades when people do not do their research and/or are in the rutt over a new purchase and make a hasty choice. Want to avoid it? Sell your car and go the dealer with cash.
thanks.
When I told the sales person (actually the finance guy) that I could get the warranty for $995 he asked to see the printout. Upon reading it he said "IF YOU CANE GET IT FOR $995 BUY IT, SINCE MY COST is $995." I then asked him for his bottom price which came down a whole lot to $1095 or $100 more then the dealer in R.I. So for the convenience of dealing immediately and locally I went for the $1095. Just goes to show how important it is to do your homework before you go out to buy your car.
He also mentioned LO-JACK. He mentioned that the ACCORD was the most stolen car in the USA and I suspect that in large urban areas such as NYC your odds of having you car stolen, especially if you park it on a public street are very high in favor of having it stolen. If I were you I would get the LO-JACK.
I think the cost was a one time payment of about $1400.
The two factors of Accord being the most stolen car plus living in a big urban area where your car is probably going to be parked on a public street would be enough for me to get LO-JACK.
I live in a suburban area about 25 miles north-east of Baltimore and my car is parked in my garage at night. So I don't think LO-JACK is all that important for me. Also I rarely drive into Baltimore and when I do I park in an enclosed guarded garage.
BTW in other messages about the 2008 V6 there was several complaints about surging or unusual engine oscillations. I test drove the V6 prior to ordering a V6 and never noticed any problems. The engine is very smooth. Also my V6 with only about 100 miles on it also has not have any surging problems.
Got an Internet price quite, and walked into the dealership on Dec 31 afternoon. After some hagglng, settled on the price, with the caveat that we complete the transaction and take delivery that very day.
All in all, a good buying experience.
Congrats on your purchase.
Thanks
Car prices in Canada are ridiculous compared to the US
33,200 Canadian Dollar = 33,512.3 US Dollar
This is a V6, I guess. You paid a little bit high. Congrats on your new coupe.
I am interested in getting an extended warranty for my Accord. Do you still have the link to the RI dealer or any contact info. Thanks in advance for any help.

From what I can tell most people on here seem to be paying either invoice or below invoice for their new Honda's...
Is Below Invoice a fair deal? From what I always though a 'fair deal' on a new car was either invoice or close to it(1-3%.)
How do you justify going into the dealership and asking for under invoice on a new car to the point that the salesman and dealer reallly aren't making a decent profit. Everyone has the right to make a profit on a vehicle. Honda put dealer holdback on the cars so that the dealership would always make some sort of profit on their vehicles. I think invoice is fair or slightly under, asking for all the holdback isn't. Just a thought.... :confuse:
Good Luck!

My dealer has quoted me 24600+TTL.
I am demanding around 24100+TTL and financing around 6.25% APR. My credit score is 732 but one of the dealers showed my credit score as 686 on his screen (was surprised to see it) from the same credit bureau. My bank if ready to finance around 6.5%.
Is this descent price I am asking for or can I go still lower for my credit score for EX-L?

This is my second honda bought from Carland, and would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a Honda.
I was very firm with what I was going to pay, so in the end it worked out for both of us.
Good Luck.

I am looking for beige with ivory interior.
Does anyone know if factory orders might be easier to get a good price on rather than dealer stock or dealer trade??
Based on the quotes you are getting and depending on how close you live to CA, it might be your worth while to buy it from a CA dealer, closest to you.
