Extended Warranties
I have just purchased a beautiful light blue 2003 Sebring LX Sedan with 31,000 miles for $10K! I absolutely love it! It already started to give me a minor problem but it is under warranty so it's no big deal. Overall I am very satisfied. I love the gauges! I plan to "pimp" it out. I going to tint the windows, put a custom interior, put a sound system, and probably put 20" chrome wheels on it. I just have to save some money first. I have big dreams for my car...hopefully I can make them come true. I reccomend this car to everyone! Very clean ride and drives great!
[2] gear shifter problems [only in cold weather]
The dealer has not corrected either one.
Anyone have a clue?

I got this to have fun. My other car is an MDX and I had a 03 Maxima.

Thanks
I am a very happy owner of a new Sebring. I would recommend this car to anyone who likes a bit of luxury, fuel economy and good value for the money. The only tiny complaint I have is the design of the front cup holders, but this is very minor compared to the major plusses of this car (and no, I don't work in the auto industry). I plan to own this car a very long time.
I have the 3.5L Limited with lots of goodies. I love to tinker and this car came loaded with plenty of things to tinker with. I usually go out during my lunch hour just to play with the MyGIG system. This car is so cool. I hope I still feel this way about it in 5 years.
You've probably already read some of my messages but I bought an '07 Limited 10 days ago. I went with the 3.5L and the 6-speed trans for a little more zip. One reviewer said he's getting 12.5 mpg with his 3.5L but I'm getting 20.5 mpg combined city/highway and they say it gets better after a few thousand miles.
Before buying the Sebring I sat in a Camry. I wasn't impressed. I didn't want to waste anyone's time with a test drive if I didn't even like the interior. I don't think a Camry is all some of the "expert" reviewers claim it is.
I also test drove an AWD 3.0L Fusion. Although it was close in performance to the Sebring I didn't like all the chrome on the front end. Plus, the interior didn't have all the gadgets of the Sebring. The MyGIG system on the Sebring is way cool!
I can't give much of a long-term reliability report after only 10 days but I like that it came with a lifetime powertrain warranty. I owned my previous car 10 years before trading it in on the Sebring and I hope to keep this one around a long time too. I would not have bought it if I didn't expect it to give me years of trouble-free service.

Any specific instructions or help u could offer would be greatly appreciated.!
Thanks again for your time.

Did you try a Google search? I found the link below in just a few seconds. If the procedure doesn't work I'll post instructions on how to do it on an 07. It's probably not much different.

Okay, I was bored this afternoon and so I scanned my owner's manual on how to program the button. This is for an 07 Sebring.
GARAGE DOOR OPENER (HomeLink®) — IF EQUIPPED
The HomeLink® Universal Transceiver replaces up to three remote controls (hand held transmitters) that operate devices such as garage door openers, motorized gates, or home lighting. It triggers these devices at the push of a button. The Universal Transceiver operates off your vehicle's battery and charging system; no batteries are needed.
NOTE: The HomeLink® Universal Transceiver is disabled when the Vehicle Security Alarm is active.
For additional information on HomeLink,® call 1-800-355-3515, or on the Internet at www.homelink.com.
The three buttons for your garage door opener will be located in the driver's sunvisor. The training procedure is the same regardless of the 3-button location.
Programming The Universal Transceiver (HomeLink®)
NOTE: When programming a garage door opener, it is advised to park outside the garage with the engine off. It is also recommended that you install a new battery in the hand-held transmitter of the device being programmed. This will allow for quicker training and accurate transmission of the radio-frequency signal.
If your garage door opener (located in the garage) is equipped with an antenna, make sure that the antenna is hanging straight down.
1. Erase the factory test codes by pressing the two outside buttons. Release the buttons when the light in the Universal Transceiver begins to flash (about 20 seconds).
NOTE: Step 1 above does not have to be followed to program additional hand-held transmitters.
2. Choose one of the three Universal Transceiver buttons to program. Position the end of your hand-held transmitter 1-3 inches (3-8 cm) away from the HomeLink buttons while keeping its indicator light in view.
3. Simultaneously press and hold the HomeLink button (that you want to train) and the hand-held transmit button. Do not release the buttons until Step 4 is complete.
NOTE: Some gate operators and garage door openers may require you to replace this Programming Step 3 with procedures noted under "Gate Operator/Canadian Programming."
4. The indicator light in the Universal Transceiver will begin to flash, first slowly and then rapidly. The rapid flashing indicates successful programming. If after 90 seconds the indicator light does not flash rapidly or goes out, return to step 1 and repeat the procedure. To train the other buttons, repeat steps 3 and 4. Be sure to keep your hand-held transmitters in case you need to retrain the Universal Transceiver.
NOTE: To program the remaining two HomeLink buttons, begin with "Programming" Step Two. Do not repeat Step One.
NOTE: If your garage door opener fails to respond to the programmed HomeLink® Universal Transceiver, and your garage door opener is manufactured after 1995, it may have a multiple security code system (rolling code system). If your garage door opener is the "rolling code" type, please proceed to the heading "Programming A Rolling Code System."
Programming A "Rolling Code" System
On garage door openers with the "Rolling Code" feature, the transmitter code changes after each use to prevent the copying of your code.
NOTE: The assistance of a second person may make the following programming procedure quicker and easier.
1. Locate the training button on the garage door motor head unit. The exact location and color of the button may vary by garage door opener manufacturer. If you have difficulty in locating the training button, check your garage door opener manual, or call 1-800-355-3515 or, on the Internet, at www.homelink.com.
2. Press and hold the training button on the garage door opener head unit. This will activate the "training" light.
NOTE: After completing step 2, you have 30 seconds to start step 3.
3. Return to the Universal Transceiver in the vehicle and firmly press and release the garage door button. Press and release the button a second time to complete the training process. Some garage door openers may require you to do this procedure a third time to complete the training.
Canadian Programming/Gate Programming
Canadian radio-frequency laws require transmitter signals to "time-out" (or quit) after several seconds of transmission, which may not be long enough for HomeLink to pick up the signal during programming. Similar to this Canadian law, some U.S. gate operators are designed to "time-out" in the same manner.
If you live in Canada or you are having difficulties programming a gate operator by using the "Programming" procedures (regardless of where you live), replace "Programming HomeLink" Step 3 with the following:
3. Continue to press and hold the HomeLink button while you press and release your hand-held transmitter every two seconds until the frequency signal is accepted successfully by HomeLink. The Universal Transceiver light will flash slowly and then rapidly when the programming is successful. Proceed with "Programming HomeLink" Step 4 to complete the procedure.
NOTE: When programming such a garage door opener or gate, unplug the device to prevent possible damage to the garage door or gate motor.
Using HomeLink
To operate, simply press and release the programmed HomeLink button. Activation will now occur for the trained device (i.e. garage door opener, gate operator, security system, entry door lock, home/off ice lighting, etc.). The light in the display shows that the signal is being transmitted. For convenience, the hand-held transmitter of the device may also be used at any time.
Erasing HomeLink Buttons
To erase programming from the three buttons (individual buttons cannot be erased but can be "reprogrammed" -note below), follow the step noted:
Press and hold the two outer HomeLink buttons (for approximately 20 seconds). Release the buttons when the indicator begins to flash rapidly. All three channels will be cleared.
Reprogramming a Single HomeLink Button
To program a device with a previously trained HomeLink button, follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the Universal Transceiver button to be reprogrammed. Do not release until step 4 has been completed.
2. When the indicator light begins to flash slowly (after 20 seconds), position the hand held transmitter one to three inches away from the button to be trained.
3. Press and hold the hand held transmitter button.
4. The Universal Transceiver indicator light will begin to flash, first slowly, then rapidly. When the indicator lights begin to flash rapidly, release both buttons.
Security
If you sell your vehicle, be sure to erase the frequencies by following the "Erasing HomeLink Buttons" instructions.

My Sebring, by the way, is one of the best Chryslers I've ever owned - and I bought my first Chrysler product in 1962 - and I have four of them in my carport right now, from a '57 through an '05 and I have no complaints about any of them.
I do not know if you are still working there .,because your message is dated 2001
I am new here I bought a brand new sebring 2007 on December last year one of the reason was it had a discount because the year was almost over and they wanted to sell all 07 vehicles, so any way after a month I bought it I started felling when you put the brakes on when you are coming to a stop, it push is it self or pull it self to the front , like one of the member here describe it a shimmy, vibration or pulse.
I already took it to the dealer and they " did not find anything wrong " but it still
keeps doing it and I think even a little harder and I only have three months with this car!!
Do you know anything about this or anyone else with the same problem?
thank you in advance for your attention to this matter
Regards
I see that you've already found the Sebring Brakes Problems topic, where it looks as though several members have been describing this problem for a couple of years. Please feel free to continue the discussion there. Hope you find an answer soon
