I think thats a very good deal but make sure you never more than MSRP otherwise there is no any gain. Where is this ? I dont see such deal in POrtland, OR. What is the price of the EX-L ? I am thinking but here the prices are about ~29000. There is no tax in POrtland.

I am getting a quote for CRV EXL in MA : Invoice price 27,120 (including destination), Fees 448 (Doc, inspection, Registration, title and title prep), MA tax 1690 = total out door 29,260. I know final price varies from state to state. Any one from MA, can u pls tell me, if I should bring this down by another $500 or you feel this is good deal. Will appreciate your input.

    Gatorsteve,

I just wanted to thank you for your posting about your experience at Hennessy Honda. I emailed several dealerships in SC, NC, and GA. Most dealers were not willing to negotiate. Those who were came down a couple hundred dollars, at most. Others were just down right rude. Then I remembered your post and did what you suggested. I contacted the Internet Sales Manager at Hennessy Honda in Woodstock. Very customer service oriented, was willing to give a competitive price quote. They were straight forward, played no games, and blew the competition out of the water. I even tried to take their quote and see if the other dealers would match it. They called me unrealistic. I drove 4 hours to Woodstock and drove out the lot paying right around 24,000 (this price includes all dealer fees, title, tags, and tax) for new 2012 Honda CRV EX FWD with mud flaps, cargo tray, and all weather mats. No haggling or even negotiating required. I had to send you a message to thank you for your post. THANKS!

Have you tried Hennessy Honda? 22K OTD is not possible (in my experience) in SC, NC or GA. It is however possible to get a better deal than what you have in your post. If you haven't bought yet, contact the Internet Sales manager at Hennessy Honda in Woodstock and ask if they and beat the lowest offer you've received.

Can you please name the dealership in NJ?

I was just quoted 27,279 for a 2012 Honda CRV EX-L AWD, which included destination. Does that sound like a good deal? I feel like they should come down even more so they can make room for the 2013's. Please reply
  • jcb12jcb12 Member Posts: 7
$24000 including everything is a pretty good deal. Could you please tell me how much the dealer fee they charged you? Thank you.

I don't know NJ. Do the quote include any add-on? if there is no add-on, we got a quote of around $25500 for an EX-L AWD in MA. (there should be room of couple hundred dollars to be negotiate)

    Hi jcb12,

$25500 for an EX-L AWD looks like a good deal. Does it include destination fees? any other fees?

I am also in MA but the best quote i got is about $29,000 OTD for an EX-L AWD without add-ons.
  • buyer4271buyer4271 Member Posts: 8
    I am also in MA.

I was offered 29K OTD for a CRV EXL without add-ons, i am sure i could bring it down by 500 to 1000 off from it f i wanted. We might able to get a good deal this coming weekend (End of month +July 4th discounts).
  • dzyr4ttdzyr4tt Member Posts: 21
Can you please post the breakdown? does the $25,500 include destination fee? Is there any documentation fee?

Or did you intend to type $26,500 and mis typed as $25,500.

I am buying one this saturday ( 100% sure as I have a pre approved loan )

The lowest I have now is $26,850 that I have to pay for the car to the dealer ( Includes detsination and documentation and what ever he choose to ) . On top of the $26,850.. I have to pay State fee and DMV fee
  • dzyr4ttdzyr4tt Member Posts: 21
Forgot to mention, can you please post the dealer name as well. Dealer names are allowed to be posted here , but not individual sales person contact information.
  • jcb12jcb12 Member Posts: 7
The price is not including the destination fee.

    Just forget the break down.
    but it will be around
    $25500 car
    $830 destination
    plus title and doc. fee

    The dealer is
    Prime Honda West Roxbury
    617-469-1005
    you can call to ask

We ask price quote for all models and our final decision is EX.

Don't remeber the exact number of the quote for EX-L because we finally choose EX.

It should be $25XXX and then 830 destination
documentation should be $300 and plus tax and title...
    Your quote is close.

We also got a good quote from the Metro Honda. They bit for $200 less whatever we got from other dealer. but the location of the dealer is far away. It is at NH.

Finally, we choose Boch because we need to trade our old car, and it is closer to our house. Our old car could not bear to go for a long trip.
    Thanks for the upper posting,
we can negotiate the price of EX down to $24000 including destination
    less the trade in -1500
    plus tax + title + $350 documantation.

    around $24300 OTD

    Hi Jcb12,

What kinds of car did you trade in? It sounds like a old car but you still managed to receive 1500.

    Thanks,

It is 1999 Lexus with 200000 mileages.
  • new16new16 Member Posts: 7
I got a similar quote. At one dealer, out door was 29,268. Another dealer agreed for invoice price (including destination) 27,009, negotiating rest of the doc and other fees. In MA, I believe, 28,500 out the door may be a fair deal. I contacted around 8 dealers, non are quoting < 29, 000 so far.

You should be able to get an EXL (without add-ons) for <= $28,500 OTD price.

I am also looking an EXL but with Navi; the best quote i have received so far is 30K OTD. I do believe this price will go down by this weekend.

I got several price quotes from few local Honda dealers in MA. The best I've got is around $24,200, includes destination charge. Others dealers quoted about $200-$400 more, also includes dest. charge. The lowest that I've read here is $24K in a few posts ago. Is there anyway to go under $24K for the EX AWD?
  • rvularvula Member Posts: 3
I purchased 2012 CRV EXL for $27400 (including destination charges) + Taxes (NY Monroe county 8%) and DMV fees.

The price includes All-weather Mats, Splash Guards and Wheel lock nuts. Added Moon Roof Visor for $150 and Spoiler for $370
  • new16new16 Member Posts: 7
Finally got my new CRV EXL with RES for 27000 (includes destination and all other fees) + MA tax (6.25%). Financed by Honda, at 2.5% APR for 4 years. May be, I could have gone down by another $100 - 200, but was in rush. Just wanted to share the information. Getting car delivery tomorrow, cant wait.
  • buyer4271buyer4271 Member Posts: 8
    Hi new16,

It seems like a good deal.

What is the dealer name if you don't mind?
  • dzyr4ttdzyr4tt Member Posts: 21
I am interested in knowing the dealer ship name as well .. Dealer ship names can be posted here , but not the Individual sales person contact info.

If you can post the info today that would be great. I am making the trip to MA tomorrow to buy one which is priced a higher than your quote.

    Thanks in advance...

Its Honda Cars of Boston, Everett.
  • new16new16 Member Posts: 7
    Here is the complete detail.
    26672 (including destination)
    125 Gov fee
    290 Doc fee
    1681 (MA tax at 6.25%)
    Total - 28768

Initially they quoted me 2.9% with 8,000 down payment. But I took extended warranty and for 6 yrs and also a tyre warranty for about 1600 - 1700. They dropped my interest rate to 2.04%. Remember, this is with only credit history for 2.5 yrs in US. May be, if you have better credit, they will give u a good deal. I found the dealers very transparent and honest. Overall I was pleased.

    Hope this helps

Got a black/black EXL AWD for OTD $29,164 without accessories. Most other dealers were not willing to go below $29,700 on this trim. I was hoping to get some accessories thrown in, but I guess the price was ok. This forum was very helpful, specially some quotes from user jaa37jaa37.

    Breakdown:
    Car $26,499
    Tax $ 1,862
    Luxury Tax $ 105
    Doc fee $ 399
    Reg $ 299

    My Turn

Total Vehicle selling Price : $27,374
    Trade in : 2007 Honda Accord SE V4 with 71K miles : $9500 ( Could have done better? )

    Other fee:

    1) NY Tire fee $10
    2) NY 30 day permit : $12.50
    3) Doc fee : $75.00 ( for handling DMV transfer of plates - Which I dont like to pay)
    4) Registration fee : $250 upfront - will refund minus what ever is actual DMV fee.

    So Total I paid for the vehicle : $27,375 + $75 --> $27,450
And the dealer made out good on the trade in price as well. Atleast I saved $700 in taxes at a tax rate of 7%.

I could have sweetened the deal even more but I am very bad at haggling and it was for my wife so...

I was researching to buy a CRV-EXL and found your post. Can you forward me the initial offer from them.

I can probably use that to negotiate with their sales department. I am in Miami and willing to drive up there to get a good price. Thanks.
