That looks like a fairly good deal. Did you get this price in S. Florida? I am looking for the same deal. I was quoted a similar price but on 48 months. told them to quote me on 36 months.

I was told the following by a local dealer. Since the ES350 replaces the 330 completely they are motivated to move the last 20 cars they have. This is ne of the largest if not the largest Lexus Dealer in the Country-Margate,FL.

They have a premium plus car (or several of them) Sticker was 36,359. They told me they will sell them for 31,900 so a 36 month lease with ZERO CAP COST reduction, 12K miles, will be $499.00.

The selling price of the car sounds ok to me but the $499 sounds high. Salesman claims Lexus Financial is not agressive in the financing part of the deal. I asked abot the 350 because it has a few nice features. He told me there is no incentives to move them and to igure about $100.00 a month addtl.

Appreciate any comments. I think he will make a lower offer to me than the 499 but trying to figure the best deal.

We are considering a certified pre-owned ES 330. It is a 2005 with 8700 miles. Ran a check at Auto Check, and everything checked out fine. The dealer wants $29900. Is this a good price? I have not asked for any reduction yet, but of course, I intend to.

Also, would like to know from anyone owning this model how happy or not he/she is. We own Hondas now and are considering the Lexus mainly for the more comfortable ride, particularly for long trips.

    Thanks

check out Wilde Lexus of Sarasota.....they have the best prices in Central Florida....way better that Tampa Bay!

I think $499 seems high - at least compared to my deal in NJ. Mine was pretty much the same MSRP car, zero down, and the final monthly payment of $426, or really $399, before tax. I am sure you can squeeze more out of your dealer as they seemed desperate to unload 2006 models.
  • robertw477robertw477 Member Posts: 188
Thanks for the info. I am in South Fla. They dont seem desperate at all to move the 06 models. With no incentives I am not buying! They gave me a fair sale price for the car but a terrible lease offer.

Has anyone tried one of these national/internet lease companies such as autolease specialist or usautoleasing. They claim they can get any car in the US and have it delevered to you at a better deal than a dealership?

    Hi Car_man

I've never leased a car before and was wondering if you could help me with the following lease quote.

2007 ES350 with Ultra luxury package

    State: NJ County: STATE INCLUSIVE
    Lease Term: 36
    Total Payment: 819.19
    Out of Pocket: 0.00
    MSRP: 43,989.00
    Residual: 26,393.40
    Mileage: 15,000

I asked for zero money down. As of now the salesman is not budging on Sale price because this is a newly launched model.

I would like your opinion on this deal? Any suggestions on how I can negotiate a better deal?
Also I was told that the residual value/buying price is not negotiable at the end of the lease term, but I've known people who have negotiated a lower buyout price. Is this something that I have to haggle the dealer about?

    Thanks for your time.

    Car_Man,

I am looking at a 2007 ES350 w/Nav and Premium Plus with this:

    State: TX County: Tarrant
    Lease Term: 36
    Total Payment: $662
    Out of Pocket: $3000
    MSRP: $40749
    Selling Price: $39749
    Residual: 62%
    Mileage: 12k
    Money Factor: .00355

I have already negotiated $1000 off the MSRP and they are providing free ceramic tint and all weather mats and oil changes for the 36 months.

My question is, is there anything in the financing side of the deal that is negotiable, specifically the money factor?

I am trying to get my payments as low as possible.

    Thank you,

    MartinR

As to price - I imagine it is possible to do quite a bit better than $29,900.

We ended up negotiating down to $27,250 from what I thought was going to be $28,000. My salesman told me the Lexus certified warranty cost $845.

Call your bank or credit union and get the NADA values for the car - Loan, Trade, Retail. Loan is the lowest value and is what dealers are most likely to actually have in the vehicle. "Trade value" is really a misnomer as far as NADA goes.

Heated/Ventilated seats are a very nice option. Not all ES330s have them. Also, check to see if it has a 6-disc or single disc player.

HID/Xenon headlights are better than standard halogens by miles and miles. I consider them an absolute MUST HAVE. If you haven't experienced them you need to. Absence of Xenons is a deal breaker for me. fwiw

Depending on how many miles you drive and the original in-service date of the car having it certified might not be all that great of a deal. In my mother's case we would have been buying only six months of additional warranty, because there's 30 months of regular warranty left on her car and she will run out of time before she exceeds the mileage limitation.
  • larouselarouse Member Posts: 28
Thanks very much for all the information. Did not know about the HID/Xenon headlights. Also, the idea of calling the bank is a very good one. I think, one must have a lot of information and do some research before going to the dealer. It certainly helps with the negotiations.

I am thinking about buying a 1999 Lexus ES 300 from a dealer. It has 165,000 miles, the dealer is asking for $7,999 for it. It has a rebuilt transmission with warranty, and new tires. Should I buy this car? Please let me know what you think, thanks.

I have just been offered a leftover 2006 ES330. It has premium package. No satellite radio, bluetooth etc.

    426.00 a month Plus tax 12K miles

He said maybe he can offer zero money down other than first month..Appreciate any suggestions.

I got my 2003 TL with NAV and at that time not many carrs had NAV. Over three years later-same story. People that saw the NAV in my car thought it was cool. Whether it was a must for their new car is another thing. Also it has remained an expensive option and packaged mostly on cars with loaded premium packages. Dealers for the most part dont want to deal with NAV s either although I did see quite a few at a local Infiniti dealer.

I am new to this discussion, so i apologize if you already went over this. I am shopping for a RX330 lease. I hate going to a dealer without knowing the prices. The RX 350 just came out and they only want to talk about that model. i feel the 330 is comparable and should get a good deal as they seem to be willing to negotiate.

Has any one out there recently leased the RX330? I am looking to do a sign and drive without anything down, or very little down.I can go with either a 36 or 48 mo lease.

I live on Long Island NY and have been in contact with Lexus of Massapequa. Any info (intelligence) would be appreciated as the more info i have the better term i can negotiate.

Well, you could very well be correct regarding the general purchasing population. It may be true that most people do not want NAVs.

But of the people I know who have NAVs, none would want to do without them in the future.
  • robertw477robertw477 Member Posts: 188
I totally agree. I am not lways the best with directions and you get used to having it tell you where to go. To me GPS is a much more useful option than many of the so called premium options in many of these cars.

Hey guys, just bought a 2003 es 300 with 52,000 miles for $24,000. It has navigation, mark levin, and so on...good price?

Hello Robert. The last time that I checked, Lexus was not providing any sort of lease money factor support on the 2006 ES 330 or the 2007 ES 350. As a result, if you were to lease either one through Lexus Financial Services, you would have to use its standard lease program. Lexus is however providing its dealers with $1,000 dealer cash to help them unload the '06 ES 330s that they have left in inventory.

Hi agidol. Since you are new to the world of leasing, you definitely should check out the following informative articles that are available here at Edmunds.com prior to visiting any dealers: 10 Steps to Leasing a New Car and Calculate Your Own Lease Payment.

As far as the specific lease that you are interested in goes, you never mentioned the selling price of the car that you are interested in. This is an important number for you as a consumer to know for two reasons. First, the selling prices of leased vehicles can be negotiated, just as if you were paying cash for them. Without knowing the price of the car that you want to lease you don't know how good a price you are getting it for. The second reason is that one needs the selling price of a vehicle that they want to lease is that it is necessary to calculate its lease payment. I would be more than happy to give you my opinion of this deal if you let me know what its selling price is.

The dealer that you are working with does not have the authority to negotiate your vehicles' lease-end purchase price. This number is between you and the bank that you are leasing through. More often than not, consumers are not able to negotiate the end of term purchase prices of leased vehicles. The consumers who are successful in doing so place a call directly to the bank that they are leasing through a month or two before the scheduled end of their leases and to see if they can get a price break.

Hi MartinR. Vehicles' money factors are and are not negotiable. I say this because dealers do not have the authority to lower banks' published factors. So if Lexus Financial Services' "buy rate" for this car is being used to calculate its lease payment, that's as good as its going to get. Having said this, dealers do have the authority to mark-up vehicles' money factors to add additional hidden back-end profit to deals. It appears as though that is what is happening with the car that you are interested in. I believe that LFS' buy rate standard money factor varies a little depending upon what part of the country one is in, but the buy rate for the car that you are considering should be more around .00255 if you qualify for Lexus' top credit tier. Make sure to insist that the dealer you are working with uses the buy rate to calculate your car's monthly payment.

Hi robertw477. You never mentioned the selling price or MSRP of the car that you are interested in leasing. These are important numbers for you as a consumer to know for two reasons. First, the selling prices of leased vehicles can be negotiated, just as if you were paying cash for them. Without knowing this car's selling price in relation to its MSRP you don't know how much of a discount you are getting on it. The second reason is that one needs the selling price and MSRP, including the destination charge, of a vehicle to calculate its lease payment. I would be more than happy to give you my opinion of this deal if you let me know what these numbers are.

    Hello all,

I write because I have a question about an offer made on an ES330. A dealer has emailed me about a 2006 ES330 Black Diamond with NAV for 32,880. Does that seem like a good price? The car has about 4,300 miles on it. Sounds good to me- but I want to be sure. Any input would be helpful. Thanks :)
  • vietxprincevietxprince Member Posts: 2
A new 2006 es 330 costs about 31,000 in one of a recent book I came across so with navigation the price sounds right but negotiate it down a bit
  • ljk1000ljk1000 Member Posts: 10
I sold my black diamond with 5000 miles on it in the newspaper for $32,000. I wanted the ES 350. The Lexus dealer offered me $28,500 for it in May, after I had just paid $34,200 in Feb. So, if I were you, I would assume that they have less than $29,000 in it, and I would negotiate down. $32,800 sounds too much.

The black diamond is a beautiful car. The ES350 is even more so.

This build includes Ultra pkg, NAV/Mark Levinson & Parking Assist. Invoice $38,963, MSRP $44,288. What's a really good deal currently in DC/VA/MD area?

I inherited a 1996 ES 300 with less than 40,000 two years ago. Since then the car has needed a starter, an axle, and a replacement sun roof. The driver's seat leather seam burst open and the cushion stuffing is coming out. The passenger seatbelt had to be replaced. Then, last week the transmission broke on the interstate. Contacted Lexus corporate customer service and it sounded like Lexus might entertain a repair after taking a look at the car. Any similiar experiences with Lexus or this model/year? :confuse: Thankx.

I am being offered a Certified Used Lexus 2003 ES300 for $24K in the CT area. It has everything except for the Mark Levinson stereo and the NAV system. It has 25,000 miles. It comes with 3 yr./100K warranty, but they want to add 2 additional years for $1200. I have two questions. Is the price reasonable and can you negoitate on the add-on warranty. I would be willing to pay more like $600.

    Thanks

Never leased a car before and I am thinking of "trading" in a 2004 Acura TL (navi) for either an ES350 or an RX350. Question is - all the posts I read seem to be from people who put the minimum down payment. Is it a bad move to trade in when leasing as opposed to financing a car? Also what can I expect off MSRP? I'm in New Jersey. Looking at Premium Plus Package for both models. Thanks.
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Hi beltelmel. There's nothing wrong with trading in your existing car when leasing a new one. Just have the dealer that you are working with cut you a check for any equity that you have in your car rather than using the proceeds from it a s a down payment on your lease. You should be able to get an idea of how much you will have to pay to get this car right now by visiting the following discussion: "Lexus ES 350: Prices Paid & Buying Experience".

I can buy at one of the "no haggle" dealers a 2002 Lexus ES300 with 28K miles, no manufacturer's warranty and only a 90 day/3K mile warranty from them. They want $20,500 for the car. How does this sound? I fell in love with the car and feel like I'll never see one in this price again.

I can't find a way to start a new thread; so I'm doing it here. Anyone drive both the Acura TL and the Lexus 330? Have an opinion about them? Are there any new 330s left or will I have to buy the 350?

Darn near ran out of gas last night in the ES330. The only low fuel warning was a small yellow light in the gas gauge!

I've probably not been noticing the small light when driving in the daytime.

Is there any way to make the car beep or something? I have been depending on my old car's several-second beep if you start it with low fuel.

The ES 330 is a great car, but given all the electronics in it, that seems tacky. Maybe the previous owner shut some setting off, but I couldn't find anything besides the light mentioned in the manual.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

I am about to start the process for a new ES 330 or a Cadillac CTS in Orlando. Can anyone share recent experience with Lexus of Orlando or Massey Cadillac? Am I better going to Lexus of Mellbourne? Has that dealership changed much since it was sold? I would like to know what I am in for when I approach them.

    Thanks!

I am sure that Elmer3 is not still looking for a good dealer in Florida but if anyone wants a nice used luxury car in the Tampa Bay area try Bert Smith in St. Petersburg, great selection, very nice cars.

Thanks be02939. This particular discussion is for consumers to ask questions about leasing a Lexus ES 330, which I do not believe that it is providing lease support on any longer. Are you interested in leasing an RX 350? Lexus is running a special lease on it. Please post any questions that you have on leasing one in the following discussion: "Lexus RX 330 / RX 350 / RX 400h: Lease Questions". Thanks.

I have a 2004 Lexus RX330 AWD with Navigation and am coming to the end of my lease. The vehicle has 73,500 miles on a lease which only allowed 39,000 miles. This will result in $8,625 mileage penalty. The buy-out is $23,900.

Since I am so far over on the mileage is my best choice simply to purchase the vehicle at the buy-out price? Is there are negotiating on the buy-out price or the mileage penalty?

    Thanks for the help.

    Hi All,

I just purchased an IS 250.

I think I got a good deal on the car except for the 'Tires for life program' that I purchased with it. I researched on everything else before buying this car but I made a mistake on knowing nothing about the Tires for life program.

Anyway, does anyone know if Lexus dealerships would give me a refund on this.
I bought it for $1,900 and I really think its not worth it. I had my car for three weeks now. I know if you purchased an extended warranty you have 60 days to decide and they will refund you if you choose not to continue with it.

So please does anyone know and had an experience on this??? :confuse:

    Thank you.
