The lease amount seems higher. I have a mdx tech whose lease is expiring soon with 10 k per year and negotiated price of about 42k, and I pay abo about 530 with 3 k down.

    Hi Car_Man,

Would you be able to tell me the March buy rate MF and residual value for a 36 month lease of the 2013 MDX with Tech at 10K miles/yr.

I apologize in advance if this information has already been posted. Thanks for any help.

The selling price that you were quoted is very attractive. Let's crunch some numbers and see what we come up with dave1129. According to my calculations, if you were to lease a 2013 Acura MDX Tech that has an MSRP of $47,850 and a selling price of $39,995 through Acura Financial Services right now for 36-months with 15,000 miles per year, your zero down, pre-tax monthly payment would be around $487.

The payment for an otherwise identical lease with 12,000 miles per year would drop to around $461.

Here you go, b2d. Acura's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2013 MDX Tech with 10,000 miles per year are .00062 ands 53% for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

When negotiating your deal on this truck, make sure to take advantage of the $2,500 dealer cash that is currently available on it.

Hi jeff_vader. How good a deal this is depends upon whether the options that you are adding can be residualized. If they cannot then the payment is about right. If they can be then you would probably be $30 or so per month lower. I wouldn't be surprised if they cannot.

Either way, they're adding a lot to your payment. A regular '13 MDX Tech without all of these add-ons at $500 over invoice would have a zero down, pre-tax monthly payment of around $486.

Hi shamiv30. You never mentioned what this truck's selling price is, but by playing with the numbers it looks like you probably had a capitalized cost of around $42,600 or so on this deal. That would be $750 over dealer invoice minus the $2,500 dealer cash that's available on this model. That's a pretty good deal.

Enjoy your new ride :shades: !

The MSRP is 47500 and dealer quoted me 40,800 after all discounts including destination fees.i didn't want to put much down so just got some round figures.i would be paying 19,420 for36 months.first month $800 which includes first month payment plus tax then 532 for 35 months.also got accessories worth $200 as bonus.

    Hi,

I am writing from Boston, MA. I was quoted for an MDX Tech for $589/month for 36 months with 12K miles per year with $0 out of pocket. Is it a good deal?

    Thanks,

Car Man, any help on 36mo lease numbers (residual & MF) for a 12k/yr lease on a 2013 MDX Advance? Also, what are people seeing in terms final capitalized costs with respect to the $2500 incentive. Is it fair to expect the price of the vehicle to be about $2500 below invoice due to the 2014's coming out soon?
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Hi omadao24. Acura's April buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2013 MDX Advance with 12,000 miles per year are .00062 and 50% for consumers who qualify for its top aka "Super Preferred" credit tier.

Hi Carman, thank you for the info on the 12k lease, what would be the MF and Residual for 15k and 17k on a 36 month lease?
  • jeff_vaderjeff_vader Member Posts: 3
    Car Man:

Thanks for the advice. I don't know if the options can be residualized. However, we were able to get the price down to $550 per month, which we felt was a good deal.

I am not sure if it is a good deal of 2013 MDX tech lease.

$3000 drive off(include fees and first payment) + $495(including tax) for 36 months.
12000 mi/yr. Residual about $24800. Can anyone help?

are you aware if the following deal posted by someone in Feb is still reasonable and available: 2013 Acura MDX tech package 15k miles for $609 / month, and absolutely no money down. It is a 36 month lease and the salesman said I will be paying for 35 months and keeping the car for 36 months.

    Thanks

Hello, Lease details baffle me so appreciate advice. Greater Boston location. Currently nearing end of second 3-year lease on MDX with tech packages. Assume i am top tier on Acura credit.

    Deal offered to me:
$492 per month 36 months, 10,000 miles annual
$1,388 upfront ($450 capital cost reduction, $124 registration fee, $492 first payment, $295 dealer documentation.) I know there is $2,500 dealer incentive program ongoing.

I have been fooled into overpaying before and want to avoid doing so again. I have seen other deals with zero downpayment, zero first month, zero due at leasing for $500/month if taken by April 30.

    Thanks.
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Hi jx35hopper. The money factor would be the same for all mileage allowances. The residual value for a lease with 15,000 miles per year would be 2% lower. I don't think that Acura publishes residual values for leases with 17,000 miles per year. If you drive that much, you likely would have to purchase additional miles on a per-mile basis. It is usually less expensive to buy them at lease signing than it is to wait until lease-end and have to pay an excess mileage penalty.

You guys sure seem to know a lot and I am utterly new to this. Have a 2010 lease for Acura Tech/Entertainment expiring in August. Want to convert to 2013 just MDX Tech at 12,000 mi. Offered $614.07 $0 down and inclusive of tax, fees etc. - told rate factor .00052, residual value $24,882 and does include current $2,500 dealer incentive and "super preferred tier"
(this would be our 4th MDX). Seems higher than other tech prices I see listed, but they don't all specify mileage or if include taxes etc. (eg: 15,000mi $0 down for $609 but don't know if included taxes, post saying tech at $500 over invoice with $0 down should be pre-tax $486??) Definitely higher than $500 lease national deal on base model with $0 down but assume that is 10,000 and does exclude taxes. Bottom line - IS THIS AN OK DEAL? Could you please share a bit of your vast knowledge this way? THANKS!!
  • newbeehelpnewbeehelp Member Posts: 3
Hi. Me again trying to sort this out. Local Dealer says invoice on MDx Tech is $44,650 with mandatory destination charge, and willing to pass some but not all of $2500 dealer incentive for selling price of about $42,800. Same rate factor (but .00052 not 62 as in other posts? and 52% residual value of $24,882). Dealer Invoice of $44,650 seems close to Edmunds report of $43,455 + $895 destination ($44,350). Yet I see several posts saying people are being offered $40,000-$41,000 as current selling price of MDX Tech (with same MSRP as local dealer telling me, $47,800ish) as basis for lease now. Don't know enough about this to understand how under invoice if that is correct? Because being discounted to move them for 2014s (note prices described as dropping)? Could you please help me get a handle on this? Thanks!!

Your lease is expiring in August. So what about the remaining payment of 2010 mdx. are u leasing 2013 mdx by returning 2010 mdx this month only or that's a separate deal? If u r exchanging 2010 with 2013 mdx then that's a good deal as U have still 3 months payment left on your 2010 mdx. And if it is a separate deal then definitely 614 is little bit high.
  • shamiv30shamiv30 Member Posts: 6
Yes that's true so many dealers are offering a price of 40-41000 for mdx tech including destination charges. In which city, state u r buying this vehichle?.if u want i can share some dealers quotes with you.
  • newbeehelpnewbeehelp Member Posts: 3
We are in Pittsburgh, PA and yes we would be turning in and rolling in the remaining months on the 2010 lease which was at $771(!) on a tech/entertainment package MDX with other options Thanks so much for the advice!

Here at orange county, CA, I've been getting various quote for tech and adv, most with capitation cost about 40500 for tech inc destination and 46000 for adv. Money factor 0.00062 for 36 month, 12k/year. However, the residual value varies quite a bit, Are there published residual value for Tech and Adv pkg? for example, the Adv was quoted with residual of 26900 (50%) , zero cash, and 622/month, however, the tech pkg was quoted as the same 50% and 466/month(+tax) are these offer consistent?

    Car man,

Getting an Acura mdx lease pkg - for $440 pm for 36 month / 10k ; with 2K down.

    Base price negotiated -$ 37700.

    Should I go for it.

    Thanks in advance.
  • shamiv30shamiv30 Member Posts: 6
    Hey Sunny50

Try to negotiate on down payment.2k is too much at this time when 2014 is coming next month. With the figures U provided it looks u r paying $ 1560 for taxes and fees.i think these r too high ,these can also be negotiated. Try to get quotes from 4-5 dealers with their tax breakdown too.first start negotiating with $ 0 down.Try acura of denville or Springfield acura. If u need any further help , let me know.

Given current inventory and the fact you are looking at $5-6k off a current model MDX (that is abnormal for Acura in general), now is the time for a deal. Any longer, and there will not be any 2013 inventory but pricey 2014's.

Looking at the following lease and wondering whether it is a good deal.
MDX with tech package. MSRP 47,850. Residual value is 53%, MF= .00062, Would be trading in vehicle and have $654 after loan payoff. Payment with 8% tax and all fees included is $539/month for 36 months. Would have to make first payment though. I think I got them down as much as I can but I have no idea. It feels like a good deal. Hoping to get thoughts from others.
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Hi sunny50. The dealer invoice price for a base 2013 Acura MDX is $40,987. If we subtract the available $2,500 dealer cash from that it drops to $38,487. The selling price that you were quoted is even lower than that, so it looks like a great deal to me.

Just make sure that the dealer uses Acura's current buy rate lease money factor of .00062 (for top tier customers) to calculate your payment and you're in business.

You're very welcome atls5. Acura's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24-month lease of a 2013 MDX non-Tech with 12,000 miles per year are .00062 and 61% for consumers who qualify for its top aka "Super Preferred" credit tier.

The numbers for an otherwise identical lease of a '13 MDX Tech are .00062 and 59%.

    Hi Car_man,

I currently have a 2004 base MDX I bought new 9 years ago and have serviced at a local Honda dealer (except warranty visits). It has 118K and except for a radiator leak/replacement at 95K has been trouble-free. Keeping it for many more years...

Want to lease a 2013 base MDX (my first lease) at (hopefully) under $38487. Could you please tell me the residual value on a 36 month lease with 12K and 15K miles (assuming the 0.00062 money factor).

    Thanks!

Hi kmagg. Aura Financial Services' May buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2013 MDX Tech with 15,000 miles per year are .00062 and 50% for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

When negotiating your lease on this truck, shoot for a selling price that's close to dealer invoice minus the $2,500 dealer cash that is currently available on this model.

Wow, otis123, you certainly have gotten your money's worth out of your MDX.

The money factor that you mentioned is correct. Acura's May residual value for a 36-month lease of a base '13 MDX with 15,000 miles per year is 52%.

The residual value for a lease with 12,000 miles per year is 2% higher.

There's $2,500 dealer cash on this model.

Hello, can you please tell me if this is a good deal on a 2013 Acura MDX Lease in Fresno, CA (Central California)?

$490/month (plus taxes, titles, and fees) for 36 months, no money down, 10,000 miles per year.

    MSRP $44,175.

    Thank you for your time.

Just finished getting a new 2013 MDX Tech. Was originally going to buy but leasing just made better sense.

    Selling price: $39,800
Trade Allowance: $1,500 (beat up 2003 Saab 9-5)
    Total Cap Cost: $39,857
    Original MSRP: $47,850
    Miles per year: 12,000
    Adj Residual Value: $24,882

    $456.12 + 6.25% tax = $484.63/month
    good deal?
