I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a X5d so I need the following :
Anyone have sample email letters you send to dealers? I mean do you just state the price you want to pay, MF, Residual on the letter and mail to different dealers? Or do you ask what is their best price? I would think just asking what their best price will take quite a bit of back and forth?
Are 2012 pretty much gone? Pros and cons of 2012 vs. 2013? Are the 2012's offering same discounts, credits? Just wondering which will be a better overall deal.
Can I get leasing numbers for 2012 and 2013 36 month, 15k miles per year.
Thanking all for all their great help. This is a great site and saves us all lots of $$
X5D 2012
MSRP: 64,495
leasing: 36 month
mileage: 12k/y
Residual: 53%
money factor:0.00165
down payment: 0
monthly: $745
Good deal or not? Thanks!!!!!!
Any way to low the monthly payment?
I think I finally found a good deal on a lease, any suggestions.
2013 x5 base, 3rd row seats, leather, power lift gate, conv package, sat radio
MSRP 54,495
negotiated price 51625
minus 2250 holiday cash, loyalty credit
cap cost $48375
residual 28696 or 53%
mf .00125
$2000 total cash out of pocket which includes first payment and drive off fees
$662/month 10k miles/yr
if I opt to go with 12k miles/yr payment goes up $14/month
and what about the $925 acquisition fee seems high others were at 725
I am planning to close the deal this week, would like to get your feedback. Thank you
2013 x5 xDR35i
MSRP $60,870
36 month lease
$4,500 down
$700 a month including tax
Thoughts please?
2013 X5 xDr35i
MSRP $60,870
36 months
$4,500 down
$700 a month
Good deal or not? Thanks!
Another question, there are no X5d with Sport package, so I have to order if I want it. Why is that? Does it ride rough? I can't drive one to see how they feel compared to not having Sport package.
Thanks.
There is a further $900+/- option with the sport activity package to go to 20" wheels and wider, staggered tires. I drove one of those and, again, if you could tell a handling improvement, it was very minor. But there was a bit more road noise and the cost of tire replacement would go up by 50%+, given lower tread life and inability to rotate front to rear. Not worth it, in my opinion.
So I'll probably end up ordering the car on Wednesday or Thursday, if we can get the numbers o base rate MF and about $1000 over invoice, plus Loyalty and Holiday Credit.
This is my target:
2013 X5d
Black Sapphire Metallic
Cinnamon Brown Leather
Premium package
Sport Package
Space Saver tire
Msrp $63,695
Invoice $58,610
My offer price:
$59,410
-$4500 Eco
-$1500 holiday
-$750 loyalty
$52,660 net lease price.
MF .00125
I think residual 55% for 36 months 15k miles
I wish we would have gotten the spare tire kit; and will probably add that, along with tow package, in the spring. I would recommend BMW Apps if you have i-Phone, and the running boards look good and are pretty cheap ($300 vs. double that for Acura). I find them helpful when washing the roof/windshield.
Regarding Cinnamon Brown interior, I may have mentioned this before, but if you haven't already done so, that's a color that you need to see in person, in daylight. Somebody in this or another X5 forum ordered it off a photo and was disappointed to the point of not wanting to take the vehicle upon arrival.
Thanks for your suggestions, although they keep costing me money haha So what does the BMW apps do with the iPhone? I read the description on site but was not real clear. Running boards, you convinced me
As far as the selling price goes, you're probably at around $1,000 over invoice. That's not bad, but might be able to be beaten if you're in an area that has a decent level of competition.
All in all, I'd say that this is a pretty good deal.

I negotiated a price of $$57,415, roughly $340 over invoice from the research I did on Edmunds.
The dealership charged an acquisition fee of $775 (drove me nuts that they were charging more than the $725 from BMW FS but they refused to budge). Money Factor was .00155, again higher than standard but I was ok paying ~$16 more per month with the discounted price tag. The sales tax in MD is 6%.
Dealer Processing $200
Title, License, Registration Fees $344
Sales Tax $3,456.90
Holiday Credit $1,500
Trade-In Value $12,254
15,000 mile lease for 39 months at $548.36/month.
I have been unable to figure out how they came up with that payment. Any advice on the purchase price or leasing calculation?
Did you put your trade as a down payment? Everything I have read, says to only put first months, taxes a few fees. But interesting how their payment is so low. What was the residual percentage?

The numbers for an otherwise identical 42-month lease are .00130 and 47%.
The numbers for the 2012 model are .00125 / 52% for 36-months and .00125 / 44% for 42-months.
BMW is not providing lease support on 48-month leases of either model.

TMV is $53,711, but dealers are asking $57k.
Is is possible to drive them down to pmts at $600 (including tax) and the upfront total out of pocket $5k (inclusive of tax, title, etc.) ?
If not, how can I best tweak the deal?
Thanks.
I have never leased a car before and am interested in leasing a BMW X5 xDrive 35i. Standard options with a navigation system, heated front seats, and satellite radio. I will have a trade in and am just completely unsure how the leasing process works and if there is a way to negotiate to get lower monthly payments, what questions to ask, etc.
Thanks!

Looking for some advice on the purchase of a 2012 X5 35i. the car comes with Premium Sound Package, Premium Package, Executive Package, Metallic Color, Nevada Leather and Walnut wood Trip. I'm in montreal and looking to purchase this vehicle for $55900. Do you think that this is a reasonable price for a 2012(with 0 km) taking into account the value of the depreciation of buying a 2012 vs 2013 and taking into account that the 2014 redisgned models are only a few months away. Finally would you recommend purchasing the extended warranty?
Thank You
Michael
In short, the easiest way to get a good deal on a leased vehicle is to shop around for the lowest possible selling price and then have the dealer that you decide to go with calculate your vehicle's monthly payment using its buy rate lease money factor.
If you have a trade-in, negotiate the amount that the dealer is giving you for that separately from your new vehicle deal. Also, have the dealer cut you a check for any equity that you have in your trade rather than using the proceeds from it as a down payment for your lease. It's never a good idea to make a large down payment on a leased vehicle.

Looking for some advice on the lease of a 2013 X5 xDrive35i. At the end of February I will be in the market for this car, and I need to know the February money factor and the residual on this car for 36 month lease with 10k miles per year.
Thank in advance, this will be very helpful to be able to defend myself in the process.

Can you post the residuals and buy rate on money factor from BMW Financial for 2013 X5 35D with 10k miles/year? Helping a friend order one - eco credit is $3500, trying to figure out why residual is so much lower than the non-diesel model.
Sorry if this has already been posted. I did a quick search and did not see it.
Could you please tell me the February money factors and residual value % for a 2013 X5 50i? Assuming a 36 month or 48 month lease, 10,000 miles annually.
Any clues as to how or if the numbers are expected to change for March?
Thanks!
