I wouldn't be surprised if you were able to beat the selling price that you were quoted either. You were quoted a discount of $5,500 on a truck that including the dealer cash that is available on it probably has a spread of around $7,000 between its MSRP and invoice price. If you are in an area that has a decent level of competition, I would not be surprised if you were able to beat $1,500 over invoice on a leftover model. Make sure to stop by the following discussion to see how much other community members have paid for similar trucks lately: "BMW X5: Prices Paid & Buying Experience".

Reason being that the lease prices are so high, they are losing customers to the Q7, etc. because the competitors have very agressive lease programs right now.
For a car that was supposedly sold out, the dealers in my areas seem to have many on the lot for purchase or lease.
If I find out anyting further, I will advise.
Memo to BMW - no way this truck is worth close to a thousand bucks per month to lease!
Does anyone have information regarding lease programs for the remaining 2006 X5 4.4's...12k/36 months?
Thanks for your help,

Can you check my calculation for a '07 X5 3.0 in TX:
MSRP: 58,045
Selling Price $55,000
36 month lease, 12k miles
Residual - 60% or $34,827
MF - .00225

Not a good deal.
