I do know that some dealers markup the MF by some points, don't know about residuals.... hopefully they are not quoting you April rate.
MF .00160 and residual 66% confirmed by my local dealer today :shades:

As you can see I am cross-shopping the Forester XT Premium against the CX-5 GT, if you get news of the new april lease rates for a 2014 Forester Premium XT - 36 month lease 12k/15k can you please update us? I am ready to pull the trigger on the best deal I can get, both cars are awesome.
Thanks!

I do agree it's nuts. I should get one... $3,200 in Subie bucks... that would be one heck of a lease
-Mathias
2014 Forester Premium MSRP: $29,759 (incl $895 destination and $939 in port installed options.)
Invoice: $27,714
Sale price: $27,814
Monthly lease: $311 + tax :shades:
Out of pocket only 595 acquisition fee, 80 doc fee and license/tags.
No trade-in involved, zero down payment, no warranties, no mark ups.
It would have been awesome if I could have gone below invoice, but the XT Premium is difficult to get a hold off right now, specially in socal, so price is fair I guess.
lease @12k/36 would have been $7 less per month, so the 15k is a no-brainer.
Thanks for all the help car_man, your info about the high residual for the subie swayed me over from the CX-5. The forester at this price is a much better value.
2 questions:
(1) On that 36 month lease (2.0 XT Premium), what would the residual be for 10K and 12K miles?
(2) What would the MF and Resid be for a 24-month lease (10K and 12K)?
Thanks!
Ben

Thanks Car_Man. Just leased a Forester XT Premium over the weekend. Got 65% residual and .00160 for 36 15k just like you said:
2014 Forester Premium MSRP: $29,759 (incl $895 destination and $939 in port installed options.)
Invoice: $27,714
Sale price: $27,814
Hope you are well. I am helping my parents get a 14 XT Premium,
What are the current, May Residual and MF for an XT Premium for,
1. 36/15k
2. 36/12k.
Seems like for april it was 65%/00160 for 36/15k, and for 12k the residual was 66%. I wonder if May's numbers are the same. Thank you!
Would you also happen to have the May residual/MF for a 14 2.5i premium?
1. 36/15k
2. 36/12k
I would like to see they compare to the turbo.
thanks!
I believe that Chase provides a 1% bump for leases with 12,000 miles per year.

Would you please give me the July rates for the 2.5i Forester LTD, 36 mo./12k miles, without NAV? Please assume the highest credit rating.

I've been contacting multiple dealers in Missouri to find out the best deal for leasing 2014 Forester premium with all weather package. A local dealer gave me a quote:
375 monthly payment (including tax and everything). 36 month lease with 10k yearly mileage.
Residual value: 17,207
A dealer in St. Louise said that he can do 365 per month with the same condition but it is away from where I live and car would not arrive until August 1st. (4 hours of a round trip).
Do you think this is a reasonable price? If you think I should deal more, what would be the best approach? It seems the demand is very high for Forester and dealers have little intention of dropping price. Any comments would be appreciated!!
Dug
said that was with vip pricing at invoice, but still didnt feel it was a great deal.
for 10.5k, said it would be about $12 cheaper per month.
sure the have more rebates, etc, but final price would still be about the same. I was thinking bc of the lower Subaru price + higher residual %, that the Forester would easily be a better deal, but not having any luck so far.
It's a fully loaded XT Touring, but the prices are still much higher than what I'm seeing on this board.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Lease details:
36 months
12k miles
Residual: 61% (this seems LOW compared with previous months!)
MF: 0.00126 (equals 3.02%)
Up front costs: $921 (doc fee + taxes, plates, bank fee, 1st month)
Assumed highest credit rating
I'll roll the $595 bank fee into the lease and reduce my up front costs. However, I think I'm missing the lease origination fee, so will have to add that to my up front costs.

Is this a good deal? Not sure what the money factor or residual value is for this vehicle. I live in IL which I know will cost me dearly for tax, but a lease works out pretty well for me as I like to upgrade every three years. Anyway, any insight would be appreciated.
