    Hi,
    I'm looking to lease 2011 Outback 2.5 Limited without Sunroof and Navigation.
    Dealer keeps telling me that my chances of finding a 2.5 Limited WITHOUT the sunroof are 1 in 500.
    Is this true?
    Also, what type of MF and RV can I expect? I'm in north suburb of Illinois.

    Is this a good price? i was quoted 2011 subaru outback premium 2.5i w/all weather package for $2000 dwn, $299.33 per month for 15k miles a year for 39 months , or i could get the same car with the moonroof for $310.35 per month.

    I was quoted $27,153 for a 2011 Outback 2.5i Premium with the all weather package. The June numbers for the lease are - MF of .00140 12k 42mo. =$369.00/mo. Can you tell me what the Money Factor for July will be and does this sound like a good deal? (NY area)

    It's difficult for me to give you my opinion on this car's price without knowing what its MSRP is. That will enable me to see how large a dealer discount you are being given.

    The dealer we leased our last Subaru from tells us that the inventory is so tight that they're selling the cars at MSRP but as a returning customer, they'll give us $500 off. No bargain!

    I've found a car 2 hours away, which has more options than what we need, but they're quoting a price less than our local dealer offered:

    Subaru Limited, 2.5i, 42 months/10K miles a year
    moon roof
    rear vision camera
    backup warning sensor
    remote starter
    auto dimming mirror with integrated rear vision camera
    and the PZEV required in NY

    $30.039 price
    $2500 down
    $432/month

    I'm waiting for them to tell me the money factor and residual value on the car.

    Does this seem like a good price?

    Or we could wait as Subaru has offered to extend our lease up to five months by which time inventory should be better and hopefully prices lower.

    IMO, this is a great deal...I am looking at the same model and parameters and can't get within $480 a month even with negotiating the overall sale price down ~2K from MSRP.

    I'm in Pennsylvania...where did you get your deal?

    I am in NJ. Freehold Dodge/ Subaru. I was running into the same problem as you. Nothing lower then 465 a month. This place was great! There is a shortage on the car due the tsunami in Japan. Locating the car was next to impossible, but these guys went above and beyond!

    I don't get it. The resale value on the Subarus are high, yet the residual values for calculating leases are so low that the per month is crazy high. Other cars I'm considering are at 60% vs the outback's 46%. That means that a car with a similar MSRP runs around $100/mo cheaper than the Outback. Are they trying to push sales vs leases?

    I don't know where the dealer came up with the .00115 factor, but it's way out of whack.

    I am likely to be looking for a new Outback over the winter and was wondering if there would be a difference in MF and Residual between a leftover '11(if any) and a newer '12. I realize I should be able to get the capitalized cost lower but unsure about the actual rates.

    $30,528 dealer quote

    includes $500 from Subaru loyalty, waiver of first lease payment, and 7% sales tax

    MF is .0017
    RV is 52%

    42 month lease at 10,000 miles/year

    $407 monthly lease payment

    Quick response appreciated as we're getting ready to sign the paperwork!

    I recently leased a 2012 Outback 2.5i Limited in Houston. I think I got a really good deal...

    It was raining and the 2nd to last day of the month (9/30) and they wanted the sale.
    MSRP was $31,467; the negotiated capitalized cost was $26,740.
    Tax & tags ($131); Acquisition ($895) probably too high; Doc, Lic & M ($334).
    Gross Capitalized Cost = $28,225.91
    Total out of pocket $800 (including 1st month payment) and I had the car delivered to my house (~ 20 miles from the dealership).
    39 month lease at 12k miles/yr = $369.99/month
    Money Factor = 0.0018
    Residual Value = 51%

    I had initially negotiated a deal for a 2.5i Premium (but the dealer had a toughttime locating the color I wanted); we ended up at:
    MSRP - $27,049
    Value ~ $24,049
    Out the door - $800 (including 1st month payment)
    36 month lease at 15k miles/yr
    $352/month
    MF = 0.0018; RV = 54%

    The first deal they offered was a capitalized cost of $24,049, w/ a monthly payment of $440 - $460/month. I'm not sure what MF or residual value they were using, but it was way high. After a few iterations for the guy to check with his manager we got to the above deal.

    Yesterday I was quoted the following on a 2012 Subaru Outback 3.6R Limited with the only extra being auto-dimming mirror with homelink:

    I told I wanted to put no money down

    Negotiated Price including mirror, taxes, tags, and dest.: 31581

    Taxes are 8.35%

    36 month lease at 15k miles/yr = $642.75/month
    Money Factor = 0.00315
    Residual Value = They wouldn't tell me

    Is that MF absurd or am I wrong?

    Has anyone gotten a residual value on this model because they wouldn't give me that number.

    Is that @$29k selling price before taxes, etc? If so, that is about a 38% residual which is horrible.
    You would have a payment of $477 if buying at 2.9% for 6 years.
    I'd say look at another dealership

    Greetings quantifire. Subaru's October buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24-month lease of a 2012 Outback 2.5i Premium with 15,000 miles per year are .00330 and 65%, respectively.

    As you can see, the numbers for 2 year leases of this car are not very attractive. You would be much better off going with a 36-month lease....00140 and 55%.

    I believe that 15,000 miles per year is the highest mileage allowance that Subaru publishes residual values for. If you need to drive more than this, you will have to purchase additional miles on a per-mile basis. It is less expensive to do so at lease signing than it is to wait until lease-end and have to pay an excess mileage penalty.
