According to our Volvo dealer, the lease special you reference (06 XC90-V8 for 389 / 24 mos.) ended on July 31. Do you have a dealer who is able to still offer that lease money factor and residual? (And if so, who and where?)

    Thanks!
  • dhogue1dhogue1 Member Posts: 14
I am told that the lease special is good until August 31st (extended perhaps?). Problem is the dealer wants invoice plus (even with x-plan) and won't allow any other cash incentives. I'm ready to sign if I can get this under invoice. Another problem is that not many cars are left.

MSRP $47,605 (06 2.5 Climate, Convenice, Versatility, Premium, Entertainment)
    Initial Cap Cost $45,000
    Residual 70%
    Money Factor .00036

    $4000 Drive off
    $446 Month excluding taxes
    24M 10,500 miles year

Is this consistent with 06 promo? I know I cant negotiate the money factor, but should I be able to do better on the Cap Cost? Thanks!
  • cabaistecabaiste Member Posts: 31
This deal sounds high. Here in the Northeast many dealers are doing $389 on the new 2007 3.2 model with little or no money down ($800 - $1,500) drive off. I'd check around other dealers in your area also. The residuals on same term and mileage leases for 2007's is 75%. Cap cost is also high. A lot will depend on how many dealers you have in your proximity. I have 40+ dealers in a 100 mile radius so I was able to leverage a deal by nature of the intense competition between Volvo dealers here.

Local dealer is only offering $1,500 off MSRP ($55,450) for the XC90 with all options. This is for the 06 V8 lease special ($0 down, $539/month) Should there be a better cap cost for this lease, or is the 74% residual and .00001 money factor for 24 months pretty fair with only the $1,500 off?
  • ecloueclou Member Posts: 20
This is a pretty good deal. I am paid about the same on a $55k 06 V8, with them also giving me a tax credit.
  • pkh540pkh540 Member Posts: 24
Hi hoopspix - is your dealer still honoring the July lease special (.00001 MF & 74% residual - advertised as '06 XC90-V8 @ 389 for 24 mo.)? I thought that ended on July 31? Are they going through Volvo financial or using another source?

I was negotiating on one on July 31 but they started playing games with acquistion fee/sec. dep. and wouldn't go below 1500 over invoice so I walked.

    Thanks!

I got an offer of 1800 down (1st month and security deposit included) for the Volvo XC90 2007 3.2 6 cyl. Premium, Climate, Versatility, DVD and NAV with 15,000 miles for $540 a month tax included. Any thoughts? This would be my first lease so any help would be appreciated.
  • ykottlerykottler Member Posts: 1
    Hi cabaiste
Does the $358 include Sales Tax and/or Property Tax?
Are you paying anything as a dealer fee or any thing else like license and registration ?
In addition, do you know anything about purchasing more miles then you have, 15k or more?

    Thanks
  • cabaistecabaiste Member Posts: 31
My monthly payment of $358 on the 2007 XC90 3.2 AWD does not include sales tax. I left that out for comparison purposes because those rates vary all over the place. We do not have property tax in my county. The only fees I paid were a bank fee ($595), a refundable security deposit ($400) and DMV Fees of $61.06. I had the option of rolling these into the payment if I wanted.

You can purchase more miles up front - the lease residual on the 24 months will drop from 75% on the 10,500 mile lease to 74% on a 12,000 mile lease to 72% on a 15,000 miler, so that will bump your payment a bit (not as much as paying 20 cents a mile on excess though.

I'm very happy with the deal based on the research I'd done. Its a great price for a 2007 AWD with Premium, Versatility and Climate. My wife has been driving this car all week and loves it.

Email me if you want more information - I go on Edmunds somewhat sporadically, and less so now that I've gotten the car!
  • zamozamo Member Posts: 122
Awesome deal. I guess there is more competetion from sorrounding cities/states. Those rates are a dream in South Florida.
  • hoopspixhoopspix Member Posts: 2
pkh540... Yes, they were honoring the rates from July. Going through Volvo Finance. Reason that the payment is higher than the $389 is that I am putting no money down and getting NAV&DVD added. With money factor this low, I don't want to put any money down.
  • pkh540pkh540 Member Posts: 24
Hoopspix, thank you for getting back to me. Sound's like you've done very well for yourself and got a great deal! We have a 2000 Land Cruiser and while we like the XC90 a lot it's tough to give up. But that lease deal is almost too good to pass up so maybe I'll see if I can get one of my local dealers to honor the terms as well.

    Cheers, pk

Can you tell me the dealer and location you used for this deal. Sounds great to me and I would like to get the same deal with all these options. Is this a 2 year lease or 3?
  • l00q6227l00q6227 Member Posts: 16
Keystone Motors in Montgomeryville, PA. 15,000 2 year lease.
  • chuckjrchuckjr Member Posts: 95
It sounds like some people on the east coast are getting great rates on 07 XC90s.
I wanted to run the socal offer by you to see if better could be had.

It's more out of pocket than i wanted to part with and the deal is for an 06 not an 07.

Leasing is not my forte so any help would be great.

Problem was they could not get car released from impound customer walked on deal could not wait leaving dealer stuck with car. They could not get car released for 8 days. customer needed a car.

I just leased a 2006 XC90 V8 Ocean Race in Houston, Texas. Lease was based on Volvo Finance's 24 month special of 73% Residual (12k miles) and .00001 finance rate.

    MSRP $55,520
    Capitalized Cost: $52,921
    Adjusted Cap Cost: $53,830.78
    Residual Value: $40,529
Sales Tax: 1.25% (utilized a tax credit)
    Monthly Payment: $555.16
Money due at signing was $1130.16: $575 refundable security deposit and first month's payment of $555.16.

Dealerships in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi all said that there was no money from Volvo if you take the sub vented lease deal.

    Hope this helps!

No 2007 V6 but now my dealer is having trouble finding a car with a NAV in it. Can anyone tell me why Volvo does not make a lot of models with NAV in it? It is driving me crazy. I tried Volvo at Langhorne and did not have a lot of success. It is really frusturating i have a yukon and I got a NAV in a day.
  • 23109vc23109vc Member Posts: 218
what options/packages were on the XC90 you got at this price?
  • paulo683paulo683 Member Posts: 3
Good question on available cars with NAV. I see that alot of dealers in North Jersey have them. Good luck in trying to find a 2007 V6. No availabilty. I picked up a 2007 V8 last night.

I welcome your comments on this proposal: Volvo XC90, 2006, 6 cylinder, premium package, versatility package, rear entertainment package, convenience package, metallic paint. MSRP $45,955; sales price $42,500; 48 months; 12,000 miles per year; residual $22,058; money factor .0015; nothing down; monthly payment before tax of $515.

    Thanks!
  • l00q6227l00q6227 Member Posts: 16
Dealer called a little while ago NO Nav so going with everything else. How much do you think they should knock off my monthly payment since the NAV is out- got them down to 520 a month with NAV, 15k miles and 1800 down but I get the security deposit back. should they take off 20-30 bucks off a month?
  • paulo683paulo683 Member Posts: 3
Is this for a V8 ? and is that 520 including taxes Their are some dealer incentives on this from what I hear. They can't apply to lease but I think they can sink into trade if that is part of deal. Depends on how bad they want to sell car. Availability is tight on 2007 I6 almost non existant. 2007 V8 are only one available now.
  • ursusursus Member Posts: 128
Can you give more details on your deal? I'm about to order 07 3.2 with everything (inlcuding 18" wheels), but without versatility package.
  • zkaudiozkaudio Member Posts: 60
I just got offered this, I think I can do better still:

2006 XC90 2.5T FWD with premium package, versatility package and metallic paint
    MSRP 42,340
    1,399$ total down
    24 months
    12k miles per year
    429 + tax....

What u guys think? I really want nav and an 07...
  • zamozamo Member Posts: 122
they should be able to give the same payment but with $0 due at signing
  • zkaudiozkaudio Member Posts: 60
Yeah, seems to me that the lease payments should barely change with option upgrades. Seems that the depreciation is going to be fairly standard and that options aren't going to have too much of an effect on that. I really want nav though and an 07. Leather is a must, tint is a must, and does anyone know if there is an option to paint the trim on teh outside? I hate that black plastic crap. Thanks guys!
  • chuckjrchuckjr Member Posts: 95
I signed on an 06 w/ metallic paint, premium and versatility last night. In my dealings with 3 dealers this is what i learned.
No dealer would offer the same incentives on the purchase price vs lease (purcahse prices was $3k lower).
    06 MF until 8/31 = .0001
    07 MF = .00162 on 24 mos .00195 36 mos
    06 RV = 68%
07 RV = 73% Residual may vary by region and is higher for AWD.

    My Deal
    $403/mo +tax with $2000 Out of pocket - 24mo 10.5k miles
$2k covered sec deposit, DMV, and $661 Cap cost.
    Adjusted Cap Cost $38,5

    any questions let me know.

I am looking to lease a 2007 XC90 V6 in the NYC area. Lease was based on Volvo's 24 month lease with 10,500 mile allowance. Packages included are Climate, Premium, Versatility, Convenience, and Navigation. Here are the particulars:

    MSRP $48,490.00
    Residual % 75%
    Residual Value $36,367.50
    Initial Cap Cost $45,450.00
    Adj Cap Cost $46,438.91
    Money Factor 0.00071
Upfront cost of $1,959.50 (including $863.57 acquisition cost; $500 security deposit; 1st month payment of $478.43 and $117.50 for gas, doc fee, inspection).

As noted above the 24 month lease rate was $478.43 ... is this a good deal? They don't have the car currently, but expect delivery in September before the 9/30/06 expiry of the current lease deal. Any help would be appreciated.

  • l00q6227l00q6227 Member Posts: 16
Yep including taxes so they say, I go to sign papers tomorrow. they could not get me the NAV- NO NAV's anywhere. Trade but I am taking the cash.
  • zkaudiozkaudio Member Posts: 60
round here, they are claiming there are NO lease incentives or specials on 07's... (socal)
  • userlauserla Member Posts: 10
My local dealer is offering an '06 FWD (no 3rd row, no AWD, no leather, no moonroof... so pretty basic). MSRP 36, Invoice 33, sticker $29k with a 24mth lease of about $380.

    Is this a good deal?
  • zkaudiozkaudio Member Posts: 60
get em to throw leather in on that package and you have a deal lol
  • userlauserla Member Posts: 10
    Not really possible.

They have 2 on the lot they're trying to get rid of.

It's my first real car (I'm 23 and currently a '97 Acura CL) and I'm just trying to make sure I dont get into something that sounds great on the front end and ends up being crap.
  • zkaudiozkaudio Member Posts: 60
Hey i'm in the same boat as you man, finally making money, ready to get rid of my pile.
  • joycoloristjoycolorist Member Posts: 10
I am currently looking to buy a XC90 and I was offered a deal of 479 a month for a 15k lease with the premium, versatility and climate packages ,3rd row seating,6 disc cd only 2600 down and I am buying my third volvo so I am supposed to be getting a discount does this sound good or should I be doing better?
  • zkaudiozkaudio Member Posts: 60
I'd like to see a list of the current money rates for 07's and 06's... i feel like there must be better deals on 07's than what I'm hearing from my dealer.
  • joycoloristjoycolorist Member Posts: 10
Is this your first volvo? I going to buy my third and they want me to put 2600 down and that is with a loyalty discount . I think I am getting a bad deal.
  • zkaudiozkaudio Member Posts: 60
I am shooting for 400/month and 0 down on an 07 with premium. Anyone think this is possible?
  • dtardugno1dtardugno1 Member Posts: 5
I am in the NYC area. Last week I received a quote of $478/ month with $1950 out of pocket ($850 "acquisition fee" $500 security and 1st month payment) for a V6 and the following packages: Climate, Premium, Versatility, Convenience, and Navigation.

IN NYC they are advertising $369-389/ month with premium and more with similar out of pocket. If you include taxes in the payment and no money down, you will definitely break $400 . . . but hopefully not by much : )
  • zkaudiozkaudio Member Posts: 60
problem is, no one here wants to sell 07s... they only wanna deal w/ 06's right now, it's ridiculous.

On another note, is it a good idea to get my credit run and approved BEFORE negotiating price or after?
  • joycoloristjoycolorist Member Posts: 10
Can you tell me which dealer this was with, if you are a former volvo owner and how many miles this includeds, because I am dealing with a dealer in rockville centre and I think I am being taken advantage of.
  • joycoloristjoycolorist Member Posts: 10
Can you let me know which dealer it was so I can use them?
  • dtardugno1dtardugno1 Member Posts: 5
I've been dealing with the Rockville Centre dealership. I am not a current owner. The deal was for 10,500 miles/ year. They did not have it in stock so I am subject to a pricing change after the current promotion ends on 10/2/2006.
What are the specifics of ur deal?
