Thanks Jasonmdbmw... any chance we can get those RV's and MF numbers for the 2014 650xi and 640xi convertibles? And if possible... do any of the loyalty or build out cash incentives apply to cars purchased under the European Delivery program? Thanks!!
  • jasonmdbmwjasonmdbmw Member Posts: 117
The build out cash wont because its only for 2013 models but the Loyatly cash will still apply to ED's. The MF jumps to .00127 for the 640xi conv and .00120 for the 650xi conv. RV is 58% for the 640xi and 56% for the 650xi convertibles at 10k miles/yr
  • cashmandoocashmandoo Member Posts: 10
Thanks for the info Jasonmdbmw... am I correct in assuming the numbers you provided are for a 24 month lease? If so, do you have them for a 36 month as well? Cheers!
  • jasonmdbmwjasonmdbmw Member Posts: 117
No that is for 36 months. 64% for the 640xi and 62% for the 650xi at 24 months/10k miles

Can someone please tell me the MF and residual on a 2013 650i convertible for a 24 & 36 month lease with 15000/yr?

    Thanks so much!

Looking for MF and RV on 2013 640 conv, with 36 mos, 10 or 12k miles... thanks!
  • CarMan@EdmundsCarMan@Edmunds Member Posts: 38,514
Hi izzydog. BMW Financial Services' June buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2013 640i Convertible with 12,000 miles per year are .00090 and 54% for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

The residual value for a lease with 10,000 miles per year is 1% higher.

BMW is providing $5,000 dealer cash on this car right now. Make sure to take it into account during your negotiations.

640 gran coupe 2014 m sport with 20 inch wheels build to order. Negotiated price 78k, money factor .0019, 12 k, 1st month and acquisition fee and tax upfront, nothing else down. 1190$ a month

    Is this fair deal?

A friend (I know - everyone says that - but it is true) is leasing a 2013 650i Grand Coupe. I told him that MF should be .0009 for a lease 36 months with top credit. He has a FICO of 648 that turned up at BMW FS. So how can we verify what base rate for that credit tier is ? Thanks
  • jasonmdbmwjasonmdbmw Member Posts: 117
Depends on his Experian score. Add .0002 if better than 640 and .0004 if under

What is shortest duration lease allowed on BMW? I would assume this is pretty much standard for most car makers?

If idea is only to lease car to drive a new car every few years, what is best value in terms of lease years? In general it is bad idea to go beyond manufacturers warranty time limits. Most people I have seen here choose 36 months. Based on what I read here, there is only 3% residual value difference, for same miles, between 24 vs 36 months lease. There is a 5% RV difference between 36 and 48 months. It seems like 24 is not a great deal because you are leasing/renting car for 12 month less and saving perhaps 4/5 months car payments.

Lets say you leased BMW in State A moved hundreds of miles away in State B. When are you leasing, are you leasing from BMW or local BMW dealership? Do you have to return the car to same dealership? Many dealer do exchange among themselves. Can one return car to a dealership in your new state esp. if you will be leasing a newer BMW from them. People move all the time and I am sure this issue does come up.

For most makes, 24 months is as short as they will go.... In the past, Infiniti has offered some 18 month leases, and you can lease a Porsche for 12 months, but as you noted, the shorter terms are sort of pricy..

Every once in awhile, a make will run a special on a 24 month lease.. BMW had a great 24 month lease on Z4s in 2011, for example.. But, in general, the cheapest lease is a 36 month term...

With a BMW, you are leasing from BMW Financial Services.. In general, you can return your leased car to any BMW dealer, though some may decline. Of course, any BMW dealer that is selling/leasing you a new car will be happy to take your old lease return.

The biggest problem with moving a lease to another state, can come from different methods in taxing the lease.

I notice the person above me was for 2014 650xi... Do we have any MF or Residual on 2014 650i - 36 Months, Or do they have a sweet spot? 15k a year. -- I saw the 2000 cash back... are they offering a conquest to come over from MB? -- Any other incentives that I am missing. Also, do I negotiate the car as cash first, then throw the 2k on top? The guy at the dealer was trying to tell me that it was in their final offer, but I am not buying it... Does anyone know their dealer hold back? Also, do they pay a 3% monthly interest to keep it on the lot? -- Any insight would be great, Also... What are other people paying just so I have a reasonable offer. I know they have to make some money, but I am young and they think I don't do my research.... Thanks in advance! You guys have been a great help so far!!!!

Base MF is .00130 for 2014 model. $3500 lease cash. Savings for M Sport Edition.

Base MF is .00133 for 2015.

For the 2014 model, .00130 MF and 55% residual for 36mo, 12K/yr. $2000 buildout cash.

It looks like the M package price is reduced by $8400 on the MSRP sticker. It's a pretty good savings, but it's not like getting an extra $8400 off the selling price. You'll save because it's a lower MSRP vehicle, than otherwise.

Thanks again. Last one I promise. If I were trying to figure the ED invoice, do you thing it would be 7% off the reduced MSRP? not sure if they apply the incentives on top of the ED discount. I think some incentives like buildout cash are in addition, but not sure with MSRP support like this. If you happen to know, or best guess, that would be great.

If I remember correctly, the ED invoice is 7% less than the US invoice, on the base price.. Options are the same price. The MSRP is not reduced for ED, just the invoice.

Hi, so I went to the dealer today, and they quoted me $1200 above my calculated dealer ED invoice (7% below base invoice + full invoice for M series). It's a MY 2015 since I am doing ED. They gave me the same money factor you quoted, but oddly, they said MY 2014 was 50% residual and MY 2015 was 53%. This is the first time (after 4 cars) that the dealer has given me something different than the Edmunds boards for residuals. I didn't think they were allowed to play with residual, I thought BMWFS sets this? Can you please confirm the 12k / 36 mo residual for a MY 2015 650xiGC? Thanks!

Does anyone have the current MF and residual value for a 2014 650xi Gran Coupe (3 years, 15K miles per year)? Also, do these numbers change monthly (i.e., if I waited till August, are the numbers likely to be different)? Thanks.
