For instance, maybe you were planning on leasing a Honda Accord EX V6, but would have leased a higher end car that had a lease special that made it cost close to the same as the Accord if you only knew about the deal.
How do you find these deals without following 15 different lease forums?
Say you have $X per month to put towards a $0 down, 3 year 45K mile lease and you want to find out what vehicles would be realistically available at those terms based on selling prices, residuals and money factors available right now.

If you're thinking about a hybrid try Hybrid Gas Mileage Good? Bad? As Expected?
And the cost of fuel is on everybody's mind. I'm sure the folks in the What will you do when gas price rises above $4 a gallon? discussion will have an opinion on your question.

Such a thread could be named like: Driving abroad, how is it doing in other countries ?
People with experience in driving abroad could compare , chat about their views.
I drove in a few countries but would like to hear experience of other people.
And if there are enough people interested, would there be a room for country specific motoring issues ? As it is an English speaking forum, I guess there should be nothing wrong with a UK+ Ireland specific thread, what do you think ?
I am looking for an active thread discussing the relevance of Speed Limits. Is the old thread still buried in read only mode ?
Also, is there a Thread that cover all alternative (for the US) fuels such as Diesel, E85 Hydrogen or Electrics or transportation? I know subjects are separately covered, but I wish to find a common thread that discuss all three and green transportation in general.
As a reader from abroad I am convinced Edmunds.com is becoming the world's standard in car forum quality, did you consider opening threads in other languages? I guess the most obvious ones would be Spanish, then Maybe French and German.
Yes, I guess one issue would be how to moderate them, but I trust an appeal from you may have more impact than one from a high level politician
Thank you
1 - I don't see a dedicated discussion about driving abroad... the only one that remotely comes close is European Delivery: Experiences, Advice & Info. If ou want to start such a discussion, the Automotive News and Views Board is definitely the best place for it. Interest in such a discussion would be the gauge if it needed to be expanded
2 - Look through the The Growing Divergence Between Horsepower and Speed Limits discussion... that's probably a good one to revive with some fresh thought.
3 - We have areas dedicated to some of those: the Hybrid Vehicles Board, the Your E85 Flex Fuel Experience discussion, and the Diesels Forum. As for electric vehicles, the only one I can find at the moment is the Will the Chevy Volt Succeed? discussion, but that's likely due to it being the only full-electric vehicle on the horizon in the US.
4 - As far as languages, that's not going to happen. As you mentioned, the moderation would be very difficult with various languages and cultural differences in terms of what is and is not considered appropriate. English alone is keeping us pretty busy

It looks like the discussion about what to do when the gallon reaches 4 USD (should be changed to 5 maybe) will make do.
Best regards
Also, any recommendation for the place which can install as well?
Thanks,
Thank you.

Is there a contract I can use with a private owner in addition to the lease assumption contract provided by the lenders/ financing companies
I purchased a used Nissan Altima 2.5S model about 10 months ago. I'm now looking to trade, due to the fact that I'm just not happy with it. Well, I go to a Honda dealer to look at a 2007 Accord EX-L w/ Black Leather interior, nice. I'm considering to purchase the car, so the manager looks at what I'm trading. He notices that my car has had a PAINT JOB. What!!! No chance in me getting the kind of deal I was expecting. This news shocks the crap out of me. The cars value plummets. What can I do in my case? Can I take my Altima back to the original dealer and get some sort of refund? My suspicion is no, but surely there is something that I can do. Car fax shows a clean history. I live in TN, but the lemon law doesn't apply since the car wasn't purchased new. The paint job is nice, but if you look at the edges of the door, hoods, etc., it's so obvious. I hope that someone can give me some advice in my situation.
Thanks!

According to the Honda website, the "certified used" designation affords "powertrain coverage for seven years or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first) from the vehicle's original in-service date and non-powertrain coverage for 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first) from the original warranty expiration date or, if the original warranty has expired, from the Honda Certified Used Cars purchase date." Thus, I am perplexed as to why the buyer's guide is checked "as is" and yet the car is supposedly "certified used" which should provide warranty coverage. The sales associate indicated that the buyer's guide sheet must be checked "as is" by state law, which makes no sense to me since the "certified used" designation supposedly provides warranty coverage.
I'm concerned that something underhanded may be occuring here or perhaps the buyer's guide is incorrectly marked "as is" or the sales associate may not be well informed. Can anyone explain this to me?
Thank you for your consideration.

My question is: Is it worth fixing? The car is loaded with all but leather and had a clutch put in a while back and I doubt i could get a comparable car for 4k. Are engines "good as new" once this sort of repair is done? If so, I would pay an extra $500 or so to have the coils replaced while they are in there. I fear that the car may be in the autumn f its years, any advise?
