  Should not effect how it drives at all as this is just an emissions check. Sounds to me like your catalytic converter has finaly given up the ghost. Not unusualy on a 10 year old car.

  I recently went through inspection in Wash.DC and was told that my Discovery (1997) needed repair on PO130 O2Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1) P1317.. Can Anyone please :confuse: break that down in layman's terms 4 me and prices please if possible......Thanx">

  I have 2001 Discovery II, can anyone tell me where I can get these codes and how to reset them? The one dealer in my area is very, very expensive and I have a good foreign car mechanic but he does not know what it could be. He sees nothing wron except for this light that continuously stays on, however, the truck runs superbly. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

  Hello everyone. I have a DiscoII 02, And I would like to know if there is a compatible scan tool out there. So I can scan and also clear the codes on my Disco II. And which brand in the market are more reliable.. Thanks for the help..

  Have 1998 discovery 4.0 eng. The motor starts fine but will not rev -up. The engine will not rev above 1200 rpm cough and backfires in plenum Replaced spark plugs and spark plug wires. All the new plugs carbon fouled in 5 min. of running
  checked air cleaner, mass air flow sensor, fuel pressure is 40 psi. compression check 160 to 170 psi, spark is hot to each plug. No check engine light on but did check for fault codes. Codes were p 1194, p 1191, p 0158,p 0138, p 1138, p 0300, p0307, p 0302, p 0301, p 1316, p 1314, p 1313. Codes indicate miss fire to plugs, and o2 sensors. The engine acts like air intake leak but can't find any.
  o2 sensors should not have any effect untill the come up to temp.
  Any ideas?

  Hi I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero XLS and I have received the above codes; Fuel Trim too Rich (Bank 2) ; and Insufficient Coolant Temperature for Closed Loop Fuel Control;ECT Excessive Time to Closed Loop Fuel Control. Can anybody tell me how I fix this problems. Thank you.

  I have been talking. I first got a p 1316 and replaced the plugs and wires. The water pump went out and I shortly after that got p1316 again and a p0301. I have to talk to my mechanic tonight but, talking to the locals it might be my 101,000 mile 99 could need a firing strip and/or a timing chain job, my mechanic often disagress with me though. I need to check to make sure the misfire in cylinder 1 is not the plug and go from there, fule injector etc. Common fixes on the scanner where: change plugs and wires. I did that and andnow I am doing the crank shaft positioning sensor. it cast less than 56.00 at advanced auto parts here in Florida. My Mechanic is good and cheap he will do that job for say about 50.So, grand total 100+ a little$.
  Timing chain job will be about as I see it from Atlanitc British a kit is 109+ shipping and labor I would think would be about 250-300$. Knowing Rodney.
