Just received a quote from a local NJ dealership. I'm having him email me all of the terms of the lease, but it seems quite amazing.

    '08 CX-9 GT AWD (Moonroof/Bose Package, BSMS)
24 month lease at 12k miles per year

    MSRP: $37,450
Invoice (acc. to Edmunds) - $34,190
    Cap. Cost - about $31,900
Fees (TTL+1st pmt) Due at signing - ?
    W/Tax - $440/month

This is a little more than $2000 below invoice which i find to be great compared to evevryone else. Also, we are probably going to put $1000 down which brings the payments to under $400/month.

What would the "fees" due at signing amount to? Im assuming somewhere around $795?

Your deal is amazing......Here is the best I can do in Florida.

08 GT FWD (White) - Bose / Rear Cam / Homelink / SAT Radio
    MSRP 37045
    Sell - 33037 - 750 Rebate
    Res 49%
    MF. 2.11 (.00088)
    36 Months 15k
    1250.00 Out of pocket
    Fees = First Payment + 595 Aq Fee + 399.99 Dealer Fee + 100 for Tag/Tire fee
    Payment 448.49 + Tax

I figure my payment to MSRP is 92% so I feel pretty good about this.

    Any thougths?

    xwa318,

Which dealer was that from? Is that w/o Nav.?

Ferman in Brandon is also at a MF of .00088 and 49% Res. So it looks like itis all about the Cap. negotiations.

***Does anyone know what March with bring on CX-9 leases? I don't have to turn in our current lease until 3/12..

    Thanks!

As im sure its no surprise, Wayne Mazda of NJ. Im currently working with the Internet Manager
  • frugalscfrugalsc Member Posts: 24
that's lower than what i'm expecting...i'm was expecting low to mid 60's...

36 months with only 10500 miles/yr residual value is only at 54%??!!!!
  • cwa318cwa318 Member Posts: 79
No NAV on this deal. This offer is from both Tyrone and Cox. Both Fermans could not match the deal.

The sense that I am getting is they want to move these vehicles. I got a call from another dealer today that said he would beat the 2 previous deals if I would buy this weekend. This dealer previously said he could not do it. Waiting to see what he comes up with.

See above link on leasecompare.com. These are supposedly Mazda's lease rates. Good luck.

    dip007,
Do you include tax into your "Good" estimates for a $40000 vehicle in the 95 and 90 ratio ranges. Or am I expected to add my tax onto the $416 or $444 per month. Also...why is kscap's ratio's wrong when he tried to figure them. I'm having trouble following the formula. I tried both directions with the deductions on kscap's and add his amount for his lower DP didn't make sense to me and made the ratio lower dramatically....decreasing it like he did gave me his ratio. What am I doing wrong? :confuse:

I just got the following deal on a 08' GT AWD with BOSE/Moonroof, GT Assist, BSM, Towing Pkg, Pearl Paint. MSRP was $40,525 plus we added Roof Rails and my lease came out to the following:

    27 w/ 12K per year

$450 per month including NJ Sales Tax w/ $1673 due at signing......

    How did I do?
  • e28m5e28m5 Member Posts: 13
Pretty good I think - that's about the deal I will be looking for. However - what was in the 1673 besides first month's payment? Was any of it a down payment? Do you know the residual or the selling price?
  • rookd68rookd68 Member Posts: 8
I think I'm gonna be sick. I got the '08 GT AWD w/GT Touring Assist and Bose Moonroof. MSRP was 39800

My lease came out to 24 w/10.5 per year

to $399 month w/ $2500 down it's sounds like you got a better deal than me. They also told me I was getting the Sat radio installed. Instead it was just SAT ready and it's gonna cost me an additionall $700! For my trouble they gave 3 free oil changes. I know big deal!
  • rookd68rookd68 Member Posts: 8
BTW, my price was 35632 including destination
  • allanbgallanbg Member Posts: 3
$1673 included 1st months payment, bank fee, motor vehicle fees, etc.... And the $450 included 7% NJ sales tax.
  • rookd68rookd68 Member Posts: 8
where did you get your car from
  • allanbgallanbg Member Posts: 3
Ramsey Mazda, and I forgot to mention that I had received a $1000 coupon in the mail from Ford that I was able to apply, which helped out.

I guess that I did ok....if you need a Mazda go see Peggy in Sales or Joe D. the GM.
  • rookd68rookd68 Member Posts: 8
Damn, i didn't know that Ford owns Mazda. I hate Fords. I hope this car doesn't act like a Ford.

As in Fixed Or Repaired Daily or Found On Road Dead. How did you gt the coupon? Can I get it now or apply it after the fact?
  • rookd68rookd68 Member Posts: 8
I think I may be driving myself crazy for nothing, I should have found this sit yesterday. I'm in it now, The salesperson is gonna put on roof racks for me for nothing.

Oh well, live and be well.

    Folks

Need to be sure I am not nuts here. I have two offers from dealers in Chicagoland

    Offer #1

CX-9 Touring AWD with Moonroof/Bose and Touring Assist Package.

    MSRP: $38112 Invoice: $35461

Residual for 36months is 53% @ 12,000 miles. Selling price is $35461 with a money factor of 0.00088.

36 month payment = $584.50 with $767.50 due at signing.

    Offer #2:

2008 Mazda CX-9 Touring AWD with Moonroof/Bose and Touring Assist Package.

    MSRP $35,032
    Your price is $32,250
    Mazda money - $750
12k yr res- 53% 36 mo $500.90 w/ 1st mo and plates due at signing

These numbers are so fare apart and aso seem way out of whack with what others are paying for leases on GT no less Touring models

What am I doing wrong and how do I get movement?
  • e28m5e28m5 Member Posts: 13
Those payments are both way too high - I don't know the tax rate, but pretax the first deal should be 473/mo and the 2nd 403/mo based on your numbers. The first deal should even be lower if you got the usual $1000 below invoice: selling price 34461, pmt = 445/mo pretax.

    Email each dealer these offers:

    capcost: 34461
    residual @ 53% =38112x.53=20200
    mf=.00088
due at signing = first payment + $183 (the same as listed above)
    payment= $445/mo + tax

    capcost: 32250-750=31500
    residual@53%=18567
    mf=.00088
due at siging 1st mo + plates
    payment=403/mo + tax

email the internet sales guys or sales managers, and
tell them you want this deal or you walk - but also say if they agree, you will go down there today and sign the papers. This has worked for me several times.

Hi bengro. After taking the $850 lease cash that is available on this model into account, the selling price that you were quoted on the CX-9 that you are interested in is right around invoice...which is a very good deal. However, the money factors that you mentioned are a little high. Is this deal being run through Mazda Credit? If so, your truck's 24 month money factor should be .00042 and its 36 month factor should be .00088, assuming that you qualify for its top credit tier. Make sure that the dealer you are working with uses these factors to calculate your monthly payment and you're all set.

Can someone please advise as to the best lease deal available on a 2008 CX-9, Sport, FWD.

    15k miles/year
24 and 36 month lease (considering both)
    assume "A" credit rating.

    What is best money factor?
    What is best residual value?
Invoice (per Edmunds) is $27,194. How much below this invoice can I go on price?

If I add sunroof, does this noticeably change money factor and residual?

    Thanks.

    Total $6,250

    Thanks for your input!!
  • e28m5e28m5 Member Posts: 13
The base payment of $420 is correct based on your numbers. Why the 38.95 "other" mnthly charges? How does the selling price compare to invoice - it sounds high? why put so much down? instead of $5k down, put zero down, yes it increases paymnts by maybe 150/month, but x 36 that you are ahead especially if you earn interest on that 5k.
  • ultra01ultra01 Member Posts: 2
selling price is the Xplan or Splan pricing which is through the company I work for. The extra tax is to pay the town property taxes at the end of the year.

    CX-9 FWD
    MSRP: $30,435
    Selling price: $28,613 (i.e. 28,538 invoice+75 car shipping)
    Loan balance for trade-in: $11,900
    Trade-in credit: $8,000
    36 month lease
    15 K annually
    Residual value 49%
    Monthly payment $506.26
    Amount due at start $3,011.15
    Sales tax 8,375%

    they didn't include the $850 manufacturer's rebate (I've just realized it :))
and I don't know any other details about Money Factor or Interest Rate, etc. unfortunately.

Thank you very much in advance for your input, expertise and time in helping me.
I know I can get a better deal than this, but have no idea what else to bargain, or what other piece of info is essential for me to know.

Your feedback is very much appreciated.
  • r000r000 Member Posts: 53
What are these two numbers :

    Loan balance for trade-in: $11,900
    Trade-in credit: $8,000

Is 11,900 the amount you have left on your current car?

$506 monthly is way too much for an MSRP of $30,435. I'm guessing thats a FWD Sport?

I picked up a a AWD GT for $450 a month with $1245 due at signing.
  • casicasi Member Posts: 5
The 11,900 is what i owe on my current car... 8K is what they are offering me for the Trade... so i start at a negative equity of 3.9K... Yes it is the sport edition without accessories ...

wow... where and when did you pick up the Grand touring for that price. That's a great deal..
  • r000r000 Member Posts: 53
    Wayne Mazda NJ

They will pretty much beat any deal out there.
  • casicasi Member Posts: 5
    thank you very much!
I just hope to get the best deal I could afford. Because I already start with a loss of $3,900 on my current car...

btw, when did you do your deal with Wayne Mazda NJ?
  • r000r000 Member Posts: 53
    Late February.
  • c_rexc_rex Member Posts: 14
did you mean 'late March'? if so, what is it about end of month? Is it really just end of month quotas or are there tax incentives as well? TIA
  • casicasi Member Posts: 5
    R000,
Could you please give me some more details about your deal? like what kind of GT (does it have assist package-DVD navigation w/power back door, back up camera, for how many mths, miles, what was the selling price, discounts, what consisted of the down payment, etc?)

I'm only hours away from buying this car :) and what I got from them is far apart from your offer.

Would you mind contacting me on my private e-mail please, because I have some key questions and I know you're the only one who could help me at this stage. (it's [email protected]).

I look forward to hearing from you! THANK YOU!!!

    Automan,

Can you please tell me what the money factor and residuals are for the CX-9 Touring AWD and Grand Touring AWD. We live in NJ and are interested 36 month and either 10,000 or 12,000 per month. If you are aware of some other combination that offer a better deal, let me know.

    Thanks for your time,

    Joe

$450 a month (with tax and everything) / $1245 due at signing, this consisted of a bank fee, first months payment and DMV fee.

    Hope that helps.

Two dealers quoted the same price. A third was $50/month higher for this car:

    2008 CX-9 AWD Grand Touring

GT Assist (Nav, power tailgate, etc)
    Moonroof & Bose
MHR Auto Dimming mirror w/ Homelink
    Roof Rails
    All weather Floor mats
    Blind spot monitoring system
    Wheel locks

    MSRP about $40,600

    15K miles/year for 36 months

$1500 due at signing for first months payment, bank fee, tags, etc.

$506/month plus PA 9%lease tax or $552 total

Is this good or can I get this car for less?
  • frugalscfrugalsc Member Posts: 24
    GT w/
    Assist package
    Moonroof package
    Autodiming
    36months
    10500 miles

    $547/month
    $547 due at signing...

sounds like a good deal? going to the dealers within 24-48 hours
  • ericmcfetericmcfet Member Posts: 1
    Ich77,

What dealership in PA are you dealing with?

Are you putting more down than the $1500?

    Sounds like a good deal.
  • lch77lch77 Member Posts: 53
North Penn Mazda in Colmar, PA. Also got similar pricing from Flemington Mazda in Flemington, NJ.

Both said total due at signing is $1500. That includes First month's payment ($500), bank fee, tags & Doc. I suppose, depending on the amount of the bank fee, there could be some capital cost reduction in the $1500, but that's all I'm paying.

I'll wait to see if Maxda comes out with any new incentives on 4/1/2008, then pick up the car.
  • frugalscfrugalsc Member Posts: 24
Picked up the car over the weekend...

    Moonroof Bose Pkg
    AutoDimming with compass
    Auto locks

    36 months
    10500 miles
    535 (tax included)

    Edmunds Invoice- 36.600
    Car price 36,396
    Additional fees - 1417
750 incentive used as cap cost reduction..
    Due at signing - 536

I think i got a pretty good deal,,,
    Wayne Mazda!

We were able to pick up an '08 GT AWD with moonroof package, assist package, blind spot, all weather mats and cargo net for $450 per month, including tax, with $700 due at signing which included first month, $180 doc fee and TTL. That was on a 27-month lease, 12k per year. I chose not to negotiate price and simply stated I was not willing to pay more than $450 per month with no cap cost reduction. They went back to their manager three times but finally caved! Love the vehicle so far.
