I have received the following offers from a dealer. Please advise whether you think they are good or whether I can do better. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as I may make a deal today or tomorrow. Thanks.

2011 GMC Acadia SLE AWD - $34,642 invoice cost
    $1232 sunroof
$2,028 entertainment system with rear DVD
    $348 red jewel paint
    $775 destination charge
$404 "dealer IMR contributions" (dealer says this is advertising fees, one from his dealership and one from the dealership where the car is located)
$39,517 total invoice cost + fees - OFFER FROM DEALER IS $39,717

    2011 GMC Acadia SLT-1 AWD - $38,175 invoice cost
    $1232 sunroof
    $1,272 rear DVD
    $775 destination charge
$215 "dealer IMR contribution" (supposedly the advertising fee)
$430 "LMA Group Contribution" (not sure what this is)
$42,187 total invoice cost + fees - OFFER FROM DEALER IS $42,387

I don't know where you live but you need to consider Fitzmall in MD. As for your second car request, their website has a 2011 GMC Acadia; Internet Price: $38,650.00 MSRP: $44,330.00
    Style: AWD 4dr SLT1

Obviously their deal is way better than whatever you're getting where you are. Understood that this course of action isn't for everyone but I would do it if i could save over $4K on a must have car.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I was already at Fitz and that price is not really cheaper than what I have from the other deal. The Fitz dealer explained to me that the sales price for that vehicle includes a $1,000 GM loyalty discount (which is available at any dealer, but which I am not eligible for) and a $2,000 cash back rebate (which is also available at any dealer, including the one I am working with, but which I will probably decline in favor of 0% financing. The Fitz price also doesn't include the fees I identified in my post, and there would be similar fees at Fitz.

So the Fitz price is not really lower than what I currently have offered from the other dealer, and is probably a little higher. From everything I can tell, the current offer I have is just $200 over invoice for this vehicle - the only issue is the reasonableness of the LMR and advertising fees being charged, though my research indicates that it is very difficult to negotiate much on these.

    Thanks again.

Here's what I got from the dealer:

2011 GMC Acadia SL (they would put in leather seats with heated fronts)
    MSRP $33,340
actual $32,289.65 GM supplier discount (not much - didn't sound right)
    w/ leather $34,177.15
    downpmt $3K
    TTL $3,187.40 (est.)
0% 60-month finance (not leasing, i want to buy)

    Total monthly = $569.57

This is their first offer which I never take. I left and I discussed wiggle room, etc. I think they would come back with $560/month, included leather seats, but then put in gap insurance (which for this car seems to have value in buying) which potentially puts me back at $570/month

Deal or no deal? That GM supplier discount sounds low to me but I checked it out and sure enough it was accurate.

2011 Acadia S with 9611 miles on it for 25,995 + TTL at Brown Buick GMC Subaru in Amarillo TX.

If you live in the area I highly recommend this dealership. They were so easy to deal with that I bought the car on my lunch break.

    Hi everyone,

Just visited my local GMC dealership and test drove an SLT1. Very nice car.

Here is what they quoted me:

40,995 MSRP - dropped to 39,388 and then another 1,700 off if I lease it.

39 month lease, 12k miles, 3,139 down = 439/month or just first month and DMV down for $509 month.

Good deal? I've never leased before, so just trying to figure this all out.

    Thanks in advance.

    Ed,

You should be able to get at least 4,000 off MSRP. GMC is offering 2250 discount plus the dealer should be willing to go to invoice.

Bought 2011 SLE over the weekend in Pittsburgh. Went into the search wanting FWD and only heated seats. FWD fairly hard to find, though, so options were limited and we ended up with a model with splash guards, trailering package, and dealer-installed DVD.

    MSRP $36k + $2k for DVD = $38k base.

Had GM supplier discount (although we had asked for non-supplier discount offer and it was within $500 I think) to get to $34.5k, then $3000 in current rebates (including $1k GM retention rebate).

With $4000 trade, Agreed on $30,500 plus TTL.

    2011 Acadia SLT-1 AWD
Sticker; 45,005.00 with options of navi, sunroof, carbon black color, and trailering package (which added 4,010 to the base)

    Offer of 42K before incentive
    Final car price: 40K

19K for trade (which was fair)
1,610 in sales tax (NJ is 7%)
    199.95 doc fee :(
    7.50 tire tax
    $102 to trasfer plate

So, I guess the OTD price was techinically 41,817.45?

I thought that was a good deal.
    Thoughts?

Prices haven't moved much for the 2012 models as I have seen some SL for 31-33K.

What are people paying for their new 2012 Acadias?
  • gumyounggumyoung Member Posts: 11
    Interested in SLE-2.
Wondering ?% off the MSRP is about right?
    Thank you.

Where can I post Acadia lease questions? I posted this earlier but no response, perhaps posted on the wrong forum. Can I post it here?

    I got the following lease quote for an Acadia SLT w/ Nav, DVD Pkg, 19" wheel, HUD and trailer pkg;

    Term: 36 months, 15K mi/yr
    Price: $40,844($500 over invoice)
    Residual: $23,201
    GMAC Rate: 8.05%
    Drive-off Due: $1,454
    Monthly Lease Payment: 785(including insurance)

Is this a good deal? Pls advise. Thank You

You are going to pay $785/mo to lease a 40k car? Are you crazy?

Maybe I didnt get the best deal (although I got a good value for the trade in of my car)

    Acadia SLT1, AWD, with NAV.

    $44k MSRP

    Paying $1800 out door, plus $450/mo 39mos, 12k mi/yr
