Which would you buy. 2010 Toyota Camry vs 2009 Nissan Altima vs 2009 Acura TSX?

The Acura
Has the nicest inside.
1 year longer basic warranty.
You get the Nav for the 29,000 price tag.
However too small a back seat for an adult person to sit.
Pick up not the best.

The Nissan
Best looking outside.
need the v6 to get the Stability control.
At about 28,000 for the v6, but no Nav.
Best pick up. Smooth shifting.
Best engine with the infinity connection.

The Camry
Low-grade interior plastics
Quality mechanics.
A bit cheaper then the others.

no manual transmission offered in the camry-
manual transmission is only in the two-door altima
have a 06 6MT tsx-no problems with adults in back seat-would recommend this car.

Now that VW has broken the ice, new safety feature for FWD with stick shifts, we may begin to see a rise in FWD and F/awd vehicles with manual transmissions.

if price isn't an issue, then the TSX of course. It's the only luxury car in the group.

I agree the TSX is a nice car, but you've obviously never heard of the Toyota Camry XLE V6.

Camry has 6 speed manuals in the I-4s - V6 only auto.

do you mean 5 speed manuals- not 6 speed- the v-6 has a 6-speed automatic.
  • mcdawggmcdawgg Member Posts: 1,722
No, the 2010 has a 6 speed manual or a 6 speed automatic with the new 2.5 L 4 cylinder engine.

    thanks for the input.
I am really surprised that no one has said the Altima.
I went and drove all these last night. I posted a new question on 2008 vs 2009 tsx:
    http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/WebX/.f1cb48d/0

The 2009 tsx no longer has the touch screen nav. And it has the annoying volvo headrests.

The TSX still seems to have a too small back seat. But the Nissan and toyota are a bit cheep on the inside.

    Hard decisions.

Go for TSX. I picked up my TSX 2009 last weekend. TSX is fun to drive and comfortable

    Hey Jack,
    Did you get a 2008 or 2009?
The 2008 has the touch screen nav. 2009 does not.
Also if you have the 2009, how do you like the active head restraints?
Does it give you a neck crink?

Those head restraints don't look much like Volvo's to me...
