Volvo XC60 Lease Questions

Hi Car-man,

Could I adjust my post to request the MF and residual for a 2013 XC60 AWD T6 Prem Plus 24 month lease wtih 10k miles? The T6 seems to be the better deal in July with the current incentives. I have seen MF quoted at .00035 and .0007 but I think these are high compared with what you had written above. With the Costco and loyalty cash I am eligible for plus $1k marketing towards the T6, what should I aim for considering all discounts as a percentage off of MSRP or as related to invoice?

Costco's offer is to give employee pricing minus $750 but I dont know what employee pricing really means - is it just simply invoice?

I spoke with my local dealer and he told me that residuals are better on the T6's... but it is like pulling teeth getting the actual numbers. Pricing for the T6 Premier Plus I'm looking at is right on target with Edmunds pricing... just need to know the specific lease rate info to make sure everything is kosher before I sign.

Do you have MF and Residual numbers on the following:

For 36mo, 15K/yr lease... that is correct.. That model has the highest XC60 residuals.

Based on previous messages, is it correct to assume that if I choose a 10K miles/year rather than the 15K miles/year 36 month lease on the 2014 T-6 XC60, the residual value will go from 54% to 55%?

I just received this from dealer regarding 2014 xc60 T6 AWD Premier Plus package (sport,climate, BLIS package with remote start and accessory prep cable) with 36mo/15k lease: "The MSRP is $49,360, The sale price is $45,773. With $5,000 cash down your payment is $527.24 including tax. The money factor is .00025 and the residual is 54% or $26,114.40. Can anyone chime in on whether or not they feel this is a good offer? I really appreciate it. Thanks.

Generally, it is not a good idea to put money down on a lease.

If something happens to the vehicle, you are out the down payment. All you are doing is buying down the monthly payment.

My co host is better equipped to comment on the residual value and money factor. The selling price does seem good, though.

I have some family members in NJ who are considering a lease on the Xc60 T6 AWD Platinum. Assuming a 39 month lease and 12k miles, can anyone speak to the residual and money factor? I thought the money factor was either 0.00020 or 0.00025, but they are being quoted with a higher factor. Thank you.

2014 model?

.00020 MF and 50% residual. As long as their FICO score is 700+, they qualify for the best rates.

2015 rates are out, and the money factor is much higher.

Volvo has a manufacturer's lease offer running until September 30th on the XC60 AWD Premier. I have negotiated a 39 month lease with a $489 payment and zero money down. MSRP is $43,620. Residual is 51%. Money factor is .00037. For 15,000 miles. This is a 2015 model. Several dealers have told me they expect aggressive lease offers on the 2015.5 models in October as inventories on the 2015s are very low. Last fall according to your consumer forums, Volvo offered .00025 money factors and 54% residuals on the new 2014 models. Do you have any advice as to whether the deal I negotiated is good and I should take it or should I wait and hope for a 2015.5 which will have navigation and "internet connectivity?" Thanks for your help.

Our lease is up January 1st, 2015 so we can wait it out... not upside down though so can easily get out before lease end.
Is the consensus that as we get closer to year end the deals will get "sweeter"?

The deal quoted seems pretty decent.

Waiting cuts both ways ... while there might be better numbers available, the amount of stock available to choose from goes down. You may not get the color or options you want a month or two from now.

Currently being offered a quote of 709$/month (in Texas) with money factor 0.00045 on 50k MSRP and 46.6k invoice price; and it feels a bit high.

.00030 and 50% for 39/15. $750 lease cash.

With your MSRP and selling price, I get a pre-tax payment of $676.03. In Texas, you pay sales tax against the entire $46K selling price, which inflates your payment quite a bit.

The low residual is hurting you here.
